Both of Manchester United’s Double Gameweeks have been confirmed after details of their rearranged games were revealed on Friday afternoon.

The Red Devils were waiting on new dates for the Blank Gameweek 31 visit of Manchester City to Old Trafford and the Blank Gameweek 33 trip to Wolves.

The first of those has been pushed right back into Double Gameweek 35 and will be played on Wednesday, April 24.

The second of those, the trip to Molineux, has been brought forward into Double Gameweek 32, to be played on Tuesday, April 2.

That means we now know the schedule for the remainder of Manchester United’s season.

Their Double Gameweeks will look like this:

Double Gameweek 32: Watford (home) + Wolves (away)
Double Gameweek 35: Everton (away) + Manchester City (home)

The first of those looks more appealing than the second, with Paul Pogba (£8.8m) and Marcus Rashford (£7.8m) looking almost essential for Double Gameweek 32, possibly even Triple Captain candidates.

For now, we only have one set of Double Gameweek fixtures for Manchester City which looks like this:

Double Gameweek 35: Tottenham (home) + Manchester United (away)

If Manchester City win their FA Cup quarter-final against Swansea, that will add a Gameweek 33 home match against Cardiff to their list of psotponed fixtures.

With Double Gameweek 35 now already taken for them, it could mean we have an opportunity to pig out on their assets in Double Gameweek 32 with Fulham (away) and Cardiff (home) the potential cannon fodder.

As for Wolves, their Double Gameweek 32 looks like this:

Double Gameweek 32: Burnley (away) + Manchester United (home)

Currently outstanding for Wolves is their postponed Gameweek 31 meeting with Arsenal.

With Double Gameweek 32 now taken up for them, it is probable that this will move to Double Gameweek 35. If that were to happen, then they would have a nice looking set of doubles that week of Brighton (home) and Arsenal (home).

The Premier League have confirmed that there will be no more Double Gameweek announcements until after the FA Cup quarter-final matches on March 16 and 17, which coincide with Blank Gameweek 31.

Yeah maybe. Paid a premium and he won MOTM too 😉

31 is a gorgeous fixture so let’s pray as 33 is a fixture but awful

Ha. I actually recommended Diop to you earlier 😉

I made a poopy and sold AWB for Clyne. It was between him, Dice and Schindler, and I've just now realised that only Schindler allows me to get Aguero for next GW lol.

Went for Clyne because he has a better GW33, but it was pretty much a coin toss.

Yeah it’s a tough one. West Ham has a poor 33 fixture.

Well I’d want Aguero but Clyne still a solid pick for the set of blanks

Haha.. I mean yeah Chelsea are awful but it’s over a month away so that could all change. Plus I don’t really trust West Ham, i just felt a hit to get an extra player for FUL and HUD in 27 and 31 was a “no brainer”, 33 will be a bonus body

Yeah. Will only need him for GW33 as FHing in GW31. Aguero will have to wait a week, that's all. Cheers for the suggestion 🙂

Yeah. Last 6 weeks it was so close and I was about to get Diop as he’s cheaper, however searching average across season it wasn’t even close ! So that twisted my arm too.

How often will you play him ?

I only see 31 with plenty of first subs before then. Then 33 I’ll start as a body if I have too, but can’t see more than a point !

Yeah, really just for the blanks. Strategy not working in my favour so far. His heatmap looks like a midfielders! It seemed like such a good idea at the time...

Neither did I, but OOP definitely explains the heatmap! I really should pay more attention. Or less. I’m still not sure which works better with this game.

I looked that Diop played since GW3 and did West Ham team stats between then and 26. Rice and Diop almost the same base BPS and Rice swung it with 15 shots 4 on target. I think Diop had 1 shot off target all season

Yeah I guess we made the right choice with the info we had. Diop didn’t look impressive at all.

Of the two, I think I'd prefer Mane and Higuain. They have a bit more goal-scoreriness about them, while the other two are a bit more peripheral/indirect in terms of goal threat. Wait and watch

      For me:

      BGW 31 - FH
DGW 32 - TC/BB (not sure which yet)
      BGW 33 - Cry
      GW 34 - WC
      DGW 35 - TC/BB

      FH32, WC34, BB/TC35

FH31 might be the only option if you have literally have no one playing in BGW31.

But FH32 is perfect option for flexibility for when DGW fixtures are announced and more than 1FT for the international break before GW32. And building for 31 gives you a solid team for BGW33

He’s 5.5m and routinely plays up front for a team that likes a goal. I’ve owned him for 5 GWs now and played him in 2 I think.

He’s the kind of player that has brilliance in him but only comes out every 4/5 games.

Never EVER expected his hair tonight but for that price if he scores anywhere near 4/5/6 points a week over 5/6 week period that’s gold dust.

I don’t expect much more from him but towards the end of the season he could genuinely grab a few more goals.

OOP, cheap, good player, in an attacking team. Great asset for 5th midfielder imo.

TM I really appreciate you running Last Man Standing. There are many times in the past where surviving in LMS has been a consolation in an otherwise dire GW. I'm always happy to see the minileague is still there for at least another week. Thanks for the work you put into running it.

Only just got him and he’s my captain !

I’m gonna save a FT this week as very happy with the general squad but I suppose in 29 I’ll have to use a transfer on one my main stays and he’s prob first on the chopping block unless he can perform.

More value in Doherty Jim Rash and Pog

So I guess Son to Mane in two weeks is an option ?

Well I have TAA and Salah already and Robbo is just so expensive now (6.8). Fair play to those who had since 6.0, but 6.8 too steep for me

Then GK I’m happy with Ederson/Boruc rotiation until 32.. so mane my only true option !

More to do with team structure and the fact Liverpool’s defensive stats have regressed in points and pure stats as well.

Also there’s some great budget options to cover 31 and 33 at the back.

So yeah purely for the situation my team and how the BGWs work, I think he is too much yeah

Woke up to see Deulofeu points laughing at me from first on bench. Had Rashford in the bench all along and changed just yesterday as it didn’t feel right. Now probably Auba will also come on from the bench to get my 2 captain points. Has been that kind of a season this year!

This may be feasable for almost everybody with all chips intact, but just wondering if any of you were considering using the BB in GW34, saving the WC for GW35?

This would mean you can go for a thread-bare bench on the WC for the last 4 gameweeks. For me, a GW33 BB team could look something like this:

      Patrício (sou)
      Boruc, Clyne, Solanke (bha)
      Azpi, Luiz (liv)
      Robbo, TAA, Mane (CHE)
      Pogba, Martial, Rashford, (WHU)
      Sterling (cpl)
      Rich (ful)
      Aubameyang (wat)

Perhaps a bit early to think too hard about it, but it already influenced me to buy Clyne over Rice and Schindler early today, since the latter players travel to United and Spurs respectively.

I haven't put much thought into the team with BB in mind, so it could be imroves if I factored it in and/or took a hit or two along the way.

What are your thoughts? Is this viable for you?

      1. Emp
        • 14 Years

it could potentially be but the allure of 15 dgwers to bb outweighs that option for me

BB in gw 35 is going to be a flop show i think.
The double games are not that enticing.
I have this bloody bench of kamara+hamer otherwise I'd have definitely done the same & poured all the money in the starting lineup for last few gw's.

City, United playing each other's is the main problem imo.(city-spurs too)
I think Arsenal-Wolves game dgw could be our savior (BB player's 35) to fill all Wolves bench.
Remaining not fixtures not decided yet right ??
IF Chelsea game with Brighton is shifted in that gw it could be great though. So i might be overthinking 😀

Far more luck than judgment but I’ll take it.

Had AWB as my 12th player so was tempted to transfer Deulofeu out for Fraser last minute as I wasn’t sure if a) Gray would start and b) Cardiff could’ve easily won that 1-0/scared a 1-1 draw.

Very lucky but this game is definitely about getting luck while you can as well as making the logical choices.
