James Maddison (£6.6m) has come through his injury doubts to start for Leicester against Crystal Palace this afternoon.

The central midfielder was yellow-flagged before the game following comments from Claude Puel in his Thursday press conference.

Maddison starts in the number 10 role for the Foxes as their run of appealing fixtures gets underway this weekend.

Ben Chilwell (£5.0m) was not as fortunate as he missed out on a place in the matchday squad through his knock.

Christian Fuchs (£4.1m) makes just his second start of the season at left-back.

The wide attacking midfield slots are occupied by Harvey Barnes (£5.5m) and Rachid Ghezzal (£5.0m) while a recall for Jamie Vardy (£8.8m) sees Demarai Gray (£5.4m) drop to the bench.

As expected, Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£4.6m) sits out for Crystal Palace, covered at right-back by Joel Ward (£4.3m).

Further up the field for the Eagles, there is a first start for Michy Batshuayi (£6.5m).

Leicester XI: Schmeichel; Fuchs, Maguire, Evans, R Pereira; Tilemans, Ndidi; Barnes, Maddison, Ghezzal; Vardy.

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita; van Aanholt, Sakho, Tomkins, Ward; Schlupp, McArthur, Milivojevic; Zaha, Batshuayi, Townsend.

Predictions for Utd v Pool today? I'm leaning toward 0-0 or 1-1.

You've had 4 predictions and not one for a United win. For some of the Liverpool fans who still haven't come back down to earth, today you will. And Carragher is going to eat his words. Or shall I say spit his words.

Ah, overly optimistic United fan here?
Do we see any logic in your comment? Na. Not for me.

        What if they lose?
With your overzealous nature, you'll be kinda really really affected by that result.

Someone is definitely gonna spit their words.

I dont think overly optimistic is the correct term. My opinion is purely based on the below.

      3-1 United.

Complete neutral, I could not care less, but United will be incredibly up for this, they’re flying at the moment and Liverpool can be shaky at the back under pressure.

Could be wrong, but that’s how I see it panning out. Liverpool have extreme talent going forward though and United aren’t overloaded with great defenders, so I suppose it’s just as likely that Salah and Mané will rip them open. But I’m leaning towards United personally.

      Absolutely no idea!

Momentum would suggest a Utd victory, and if Liverpool fail to bring a level of intensity equal to that expected from Utd, they will be ripe for picking off.

That said, if Liverpool are on their game, I can see a 3-1, 4-1 score line in their favour.

Sitting on the fence with a 2-2 😆

Unlike former managers Ole knows and understands the gravitas of this game, I expect United to be really up for it and for Liverpool to be Spursy 😉

    Which one?
    1. Aubamayang > Aguero *
    2. Son > Sterling *
    3. Both for free but go FH in 31 instead of 32.

    * Choosing Aguero would mean not owning Sterling until the FH in 32 or WC in 34. Same goes for picking Sterling over Aguero.

I’m sure City will outperform Chelsea but Kun and Sterling owners may not be rejoicing that much - I speak as a Kun owner.

More than possible we’ll see early season Kun (around CL time ) - goal then su. On 65/70. Sterling is also due a rest soonish. He plays most but not all.

      I wouldn’t want Chelsea in

    (A) Son > Sterling
    (B) Camarasa > McNeil
    (C) AWB > Newcastle defender

Have exact cash for A this week for Sterling’s 3 plum fixtures - good move?

Doesn’t lend itself to my plan however (build for GW31, FH32). Only have 6 for GW31, and bringing in Sterling would only allow me 8 players without hits. B + C allow me one more player.

    Current team -

    Fabianski
    TAA, Robertson, Perreira, Doherty
    Son*, Salah (c), Pogba
    Aguero (vc), Rashford, Jimenez

    (Button)(F.Anderson, Camarasa*, AWB*)

People trading in Sterling before he plays today?

That’s if you think he’ll start midweek. Or if you think a downbeat Chelsea and porous Arsenal sides aren’t there for the taking.

    A) Lloris to kepa ( because chelsea play in BGWs and possibility of having double GW in 32) or Ederson ( if I choose ederson it would require another transfer for boruc for BGWs)
    B) Son to Mane
    C) Bennett to TAA - wolves next two fixtures are huddlesfield A and cardiff home, so expecting one or both clean sheets so I feel it can wait until gw 31

Teams still with a chance of a double GW32, followed by a game in GW33.

Cardiff if Manchester City lose to Swansea
Spurs if Brighton lose to Millwall
Crystal Palace if they loss to Watford, but DGW could also be in GW35
Watford if they loss to Crystal Palace, but DGW could also be in GW35
Southampton but DGW could also be in also GW35
Chelsea but if Brighton beat Millwall, Spurs v Brighton could played in DGW 32 instead

Rushed to get Pereira in for AWB. Didn't see yesterday's match but seems Leicester defence had a shite night. I'll probably now hold on to him until gw33 due to blanks and decent fixtures but the regret is already there.

      Absolutely not.

      1) it’s perfect for 34 (or 33 if City go out of FA cup)
      2) you gain no new information about DGWs right now
      3) Gameweeks close together: transfer frenzy but also chance that minor knocks could mean missing next weekend.
      4) rotation possible midweek

I wasted mine, don’t waste yours.

I wanted to use it recently but team was always ok. Previous seasons I’ve always used it at the end of the window and got a big bounce from it. This season, not any transfers of note has kept the sides very similar. So uncharted territory for me with the wildcard, 32 or 34 likely now

    1. Digne (or possibly Doherty) -> TAA.
    2. Son-> Maddison (or Almiron) to save cash.
    3. Save.
    4. Other. ( May even be considering a WC)

    Fabianski.
    Pereira, Doherty, Bednarek, Digne.
    Pogba, Salah, Son.
    Firmino, Auba, Rashford.
    Hamer, Camarasa, Felipe, AWB.
    1ft, 0.3m ITB.
All chips left + looking at FH 32.

Probably all in the right order. 1 is good, wouldn’t even consider getting rid of Doherty, it’s not nice being a non owner.
2, I don’t mind Son out but Maddison as a replacement, comes with a disappointing warning.
Defo no need to consider wildcarding that lot imo

    Thoughts on this transfer plan?

    Gw 28: Save
29: Bennett > 4.4 Burnley or BOU defender
    30: Eriksen > Fraser
    31: Sterling + Rash > Hazard + Higuain.

    Ryan Button
    Robbo TAA Doherty Bednarek Bennett
    Salah Sterling Pogba Eriksen Son
    Rashford Rondon Kamara

Leaving me with 8 decent players for gw 31.

Can’t count. Yep 8, no GK.

Might be worth a -4 to get Boruc. As you’ll have 31 and 33 to pay off the hit.

Struggling to fit Aguero into the side. Trippier, Son, Depoitre out for Smith, Hayden, Aguero for a -4 seem reasonable?

Looking to replace AWB with a max 4.4 defender that ideally has a game in GW 31. Options might be:

    1) Lejeune (NEW)
    2) Clyne (BOU)
    3) Diop (WHU)
    4) Schindler (HUD)

Would have liked to go with a Newcastle defender like Schär or Lascelles (or even Yedlin) but my budget is pretty tight. Any ideas?

Would strike 3 and certainly 4 off that list straight away.

Lejeune would be the one if your wanting Newcastle cover. Think his place is quite secure.

The only one i would add to the list of options would be Taylor at Burnley, take it its 31 players your looking for? Their fixtures are maybe not as good on paper but probably the best defensive unit out of the teams mentioned above.

Got 10 players with my plan for GW 31. Maybe I don't need 11 but looking for GW 31 players, ye. Taylor might be an option as well. Would like a route into the Newcastle defence but wasn't sure about Lejeune being nailed on. Started the last 6 now so might be an option. Thx.

Kun or Auba this gameweek..? Considering Sterling, and could also fit them both in but don't want to take Rashford or Jimi out!
