It is a short but important week coming up for Fantasy Premier League managers.

There are some big decisions to be made ahead of Gameweek 3 as some prepare to spend their two free transfers, others consider the Wildcard and that’s before we even get on to the captaincy.

So we’ve put together another panel of fine FPL minds to help you with any dilemmas.

Who’s on the panel this week?

Simon March – Former FPL champion who won the title in 2014/15 and has provided excellent advice ever since.

Always Cheating – The USA’s number one FPL podcast duo comprising of Josh and Brandon.

Gregor – Long-time Fantasy Football Scout moderator.

Doosra – Fantasy Football Scout user with some rather popular custom tables.

      Pope

    2. AuFeld

Pope. Burnley has a great track record for clean sheets (usually about 10 per season), save points, and Pope will get bonus points because the defenders are so poor at passing.

Cheers! What do you think about going with adrian for the next three weeks or ryan for the couple "easy" games (not city) and then switching to pope as the fixtures turn?

        1. AuFeld
          • 9 Years
          6 years, 4 months ago

Adrian looks volatile. Ryan and BHA are going under the radar with the lowest xGA after two matches (granted their opposition looked deplorable). Could be a good pick.

I do not advise using FT on a GK. Pick one and stick to them unless an injury occurs.

Yeah I think the same. I just have a feeling that pool cleansheets are just around the corner but it probably isn't worth the usage of a free transfer that can't be avoided.

So Pope or Ryan it is. This is going to do my head in. Burnely has the history behind them but brighton has looked good aswell and you can get Button as the backup.

I think I might just look at my mini leagues and pick the one that is more threatning for my ranking.

There is Dendoncker, but that would most likely come to the same than keeping Perez. Other option is to go with another defender which would mean to play two of Lundsram, Montoya and Cathcart

Thoughts on this potential wildcard would be very much appreciated. I'd like to preface the below by saying that the plan is to downgrade Rashford to Barnes/Kean after the next two fixtures, and use the spare money to upgrade Zinchenko to Laporte and/or AWB to VVD when the time to replace Adrian arrives.

    Adrian
    Digne Zinchenko AWB
    Sterling Mane KdB Martial Mount
    Rashford Pukki
    (Button Lundstrum Kelly Wickham)

Has anyone else noticed that quite alot of people have been incorrectly stating "bad fixtures" as a reason to ditch or not get a player. But half the time they dont actually have bad fixtures, maybe they have like 1 bad fixture (in regards to Bournemouth) or a few spread out (like Brighton) but over-all their fixtures are good.
In that article is says Brighton have the joint worst fixtures??

So from now to 11 I see 3 hard fixtures (if you call Chelsea a hard fixture), and out of these 9 games 5 are at home and only one of those home games is vs a top 4 opponent (spurs).
So no imo those are not bad fixtures, and rotating a Brighton player for those 3 bad weeks would work.

IDK I seen many people saying this, the Bournemouth one jsut makes me lol hard.

Looks good, I personally would go lighter in defense and bring in Ceballos after GW 4 and use funds for someone who more likely provides points in the next 2 GWs and bench Lundstram (he won't deliver on a regular basis and Leicester will get a lot of chances vs Sheffield)
