Who to start? Dendoncker or Lundstram

Was going to use Dendocker, but he had a full 90mins today...

      Would still go with Den.

Can't see Sheff Utd keeping a CS meaning Lundstram would really have to score or assist to keep up with Den.

      1. AndyCook

Dendoncker isn’t likely to do anything either though. Probably two points each

Thanks...the worry is that after the 1st leg Euro, Dend was on
the bench against Burnley, came on for only 30 minutes

Best West Ham option moving forward?

Lanzini is a good midfield option. I'm not convinced on Haller just yet, but saying that if you do get him in there are easy exit opportuntiies to Pukki, Barnes and co. around that price level so not the worst option.

    Lost on last page

With Jota looking slightly less droppable, I am tinkering with alternatives. (Pending any better news re Martial):

    A) Martial > Mount (FT)
    B) Martial, AWB > Mount, TAA (-4, exact cash)
    C) Martial, Jota > Mount, Haller (-4)

    1FT 0.1itb
    Heaton
    VVD, Zinch, Digne, AWB*
    Salah, Sterling (C), KDB, Martial*
    Pukki, Jota*
    (Button) (Dendo, Greenwood, Lunds)

C feels like the popular pick and I get it but it’s becoming so popular it makes me think something’s going to backfire!

    Thoughts? Cheers

Cheers. I’m willing Jota to get in form in the PL as he’s a great player but being realistic there are probably better picks atm

Will see what the presser brings re Martial injury time

  14. Eze Really?
    • 12 Years
    6 years, 11 months ago

Try this rule of thumb way of seeing if a hit is worth it.
Take your player/players next 5 fixtures.
Give a mark out of 10 for the ( player history) (player form) (fixture Home/Away) (Team form). (Captain y/n) (2 points each choice = 10 per game)
    (For example Kane New h (10) Ars a (6) Cpl h (8) Lei a (6) Sou h (8)) = 38
Compare with who you are replacing:
    Firmino Ars h (8) Bur a (8) New h (10) Che a (6) Shu a (8) = 40

I chose Kane to make a point on how things can go wrong. I would want a clear winner (4 pts) for the replacement. A 2 game injury will probably give you that.
Sounds complicated but it is not.

How often has this worked for you?

      1. Eze Really?
        • 12 Years
        6 years, 11 months ago

Funny enough I tried it last year 3 times and all worked. Not enough of a sample I know. I then looked at some of my failures going by gut feel but ignoring sheer bad luck. The method again worked 6 from 9. Sometimes though I never had the player for the time period required. As I said, rule of thumb.

Just after some advice please. I've already used my ft & keeping Martial. Who would you play (1st on bench):
    (a) Jota - unsure as he started v Torino. Could get an early shower v Eve &/or do nothing due to tiredness
    (b) Maitland-Niles - an I being deluded thinking with the state Spurs are in atm that AMN could get a cs (Ars are pretty good at home defensively) or some attacking returns
    (c) Lunstram - can see Che knocking in at least 2 goals but he's a chance of getting something at the attcking end.

Conclusion - I'm tempted to put AMN 1st on on bench

    Thoughts & thanks.

How did you get into FPL?
For me well, my mates were always talking about it so I decided to finally make a team one day.
My very first season I joined like 8 weeks late and finished the season on 102 points lmao (i guess i stopped playing in gw9 or something and all my players got crocked, idk lol).
But when I was a kid man I was football mad, all i was interested in was playing and following football, no idea where it even came from as no one in family had any interest in it. Anyway when I got to like 15 I kinda got interested in other things, like drinking and girls and my love for the game died.

FPL finally revived that love like 12 years later and I love football again, all i miss niw is playing it 🙁

Lads at work kept on going on about knowing more about football! They bet me £20 each that they’d wipe the floor with me on fpl - by Oct I was 209 OR finished 6k OR - hooked from there. Obviously took all the cash too (3yrs running till I moved jobs)

Nice :D. Whats funny is my mates actually knew more about football than me when I started as I hadnt been following for so long, but they apparently could not translate that knowledge into fpl points and I pretty much owned all of them for seasons. These days they seem to have wised up and some of them are pretty serious contenders, at least its a challenge now ^^

Kinda sad, but I started taking it seriously to get over a gambling addiction. Instead of researching bets and losing £££ every week, I started wasting time on here for free. I finally have disposable income and I'm much happier.. who knew.

I've probably been playing FPL for a good 10 years. Although I used to just create a team and then never check it again. Only really started taking it seriously last season.

Nah dont be ashamed of that, its a great reason to start playing FPL.
I used to play online poker so much, I wasnt an addict I dont think but I spent way too much money on it and it was an unhealthy addiction. To move past poker I just started playing free games instead, like FPL and pc games. I just realised one day that I was basically playing out of boredom half the time and that I could replace it with a free game and sure enough it worked.
Honestly that is such a good way to lose a gambling addicition, I hope they teach people that when they go to counselling because its genius I swear.

Cheers mate, I appreciate the kind words.

Yup I was the exact same... betting out of boredom. I love football but for some reason just watching it isn't enough for me. I need something riding on it to keep me interested. FPL was perfect and has no doubt saved me thousands of pounds. I still have the odd flutter but I've managed to gain control over it.

Yea I love accumulators. So basically I normally do a couple of those every so often, but I dont bet so much. Just looking for high return accumulators really.

How I see accumulators is this:
I dont play the lottery, I have a very slim chance of winning the lottery and cant control the odds. Alot of people play the lottery, I play accumulators instead and spend roughly the same money (probably less), but I control the odds and have a far better chance of making a return.

    1. Aguero -4 (BRI, nor, WAT)

    or

    2. Kane (ars, CRY, lei)

Wouldn't captain either in any of these games.. The £1m difference doesn't matter.

For 1 GW yeah, and then make the move with 2 FT if you still want Aguero.

I can't do that. Was planning to get Trent in too and he's priority. I would do Kane + Martial -> Dendoncker + Aguero (-4) this GW and Dunk -> Trent for free next GW.

Well in that case, Kane > Haller and get TAA with the funds the following week.

I'm also tempted to swap in Kun for Kane, but you'd have to change your name 😉
