Fantasy Premier League managers will have to entirely re-think how best to invest in Manchester United’s attack for the 2020/21 season.

The game-makers at FPL Towers have wielded their position-changing axe and reclassified no fewer than three key Red Devil assets for the new campaign.

Marcus Rashford (£9.5m) and Mason Greenwood (£7.5m) have been converted into midfielders to reflect their roles on the flanks of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s attacking midfield trio, while Anthony Martial (£9.0m) has moved into the forwards bracket.

Fernandes haul raises the bar for top 10k's most popular captain Salah

These changes are sure to impact squad selection for the new season, but could also affect the appeal of Bruno Fernandes (£10.5m) who has remained a midfielder.

To fully assess which of the Manchester United attackers appeal the most for 2020/21, we have pulled out some key statistics from Project Restart, the only time that Fernandes, Rashford, Greenwood and Martial started matches consistently at the same time.

As this article uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those with a valid subscription can access it in full.

Which United attacker was in the penalty box most often?

Interesting side effect of prices is there’s very little triple Liverpool about. Their premium assets combined are just 0.5 cheaper this time whichever way you go. Everyone else is cheaper bar City who are also at an unappealing combined price - in fact more expensive this time

We’re being pushed onto more teams

Wonder whether this intentional - perhaps even explaining Bobby at an inexplicable 9.5.

Pretty much. Only on 2 now while I play with price points.

But as soon as fixtures are announced, I’m confident I’ll have 3.

City might feature GW1 yet though.. so maybe I won’t have the funds for 3 pool.

Try putting together an optimum team ignoring blanks and triple Liverpool is not a clear and obvious call.

If they get a great fixture run we may want it of course.

Direct contrast to this time last year imo

Beats me why Pep won't start with his best side and bench players like Foden and Mahrez. City's strength is scoring 'many' goals and not trying to negate the opposition.

Think it's the pressure of winning the CL that has got the better of him!

I think he could massively disappoint people at times

Everyone is already used to Salah & Sterling going on the long spells of underwhelming output

But it’ll be new with Auba & will create a lot of dissonance when contrasted with the initial euphoria of the prospect of his extra points for goals & CS’s

He was very flaky at times again this year when he needed to deliver

Still well worth starting with him & Salah as KDB & Bruno placeholders mind you

Plus, you never know, maybe he’ll finally get to play up front rather than POO which would help him

It will break up quickly enough when the manchester teams return.

Also worth bearing in mind, there are still a lot of other players who could arrive into the PL before the league restarts to further shake things up.

And you're guessing a template without knowing the fixtures, one of the single most decisive factors in the teams we will pick.

I know we'll be chopping and changing a lot so it doesn't matter too much but just wondering - what does Werner need to be worth 5m? if Mitro gets 140ish
