Why I’m lining up for FPL Gameweek 3 without any Chelsea players

A Fantasy Premier League veteran of 11 years, Darren Wiles has an incredible track record with three top 1k finishes in the last four seasons.

With so many favourable match-ups in Gameweek 3, I am feeling confident about the next round of Fantasy Premier League.

It has been a positive start thus far, anyway, with 80 and 90-point hauls in the first two Gameweeks taking me to a total of 170 and an overall rank of 29k.

The goals have been flying in so far and I have been lucky enough to capitalise on the early glut of double-digit returns. But all of that is in the past, and it’s what happens this weekend that matters now.

Here is what my team looks like for Gameweek 3 and the reasons behind some key decisions.

      Given the fact that they have been among the top scoring teams in the past few seasons, that is a very viable strategy.

      The only thing that you need would be for all of them to start. For now, it looks as if they are good to go

      Yes. Sterling can easily swap to a different big hitter down the line. KDB is someone to keep and Foden is great value while starting.

      Barnes you cant not play. Ayew has done a great job so far, cant see CPL changing their starting lineup after those performances. Bowen and Adams have played well but their teams lost both games so maybe could not start. I d bench one of them, would probably bench Adams since WHU play later so i d have sth to wait.

      You're only direction from Justin is down, and the options apart from Taylor are few.

      I guess you know that the Mid is super-cheap, and the plan is a -4 if Son/Pulisic et al become essential, or -8 if there's another fire to put out.

          it's a proper dilemma. Some have gone without the Liverpool defence to get Son in, others drop Werner or Jimi. Basically, you write Werner, DCL, Jimi, Son, Salah, KDB, TAA down... and cross one name off. Only KDB stays for certain with me. After that you're on your own.

    On WC. Here's what I've got:

    Martinez (Steer)
    TAA, Robertson, Saiss, James (Mitchell)
    KDB, Havertz, Son, Foden (Klich)
    Werner, DCL (Brewster)

    - Klich covers Foden when he loses Pep roulette.
    - Somewhat bothered by not having United cover, but I can move to Martial from Werner or double up on FTs to bring in Bruno+.

    Too much Chelsea?
    Anything to fix before my WC expires?
