Salah fixtures are awesome. You can also pretty much be sure he plays the next 3 gameweeks for 90 mins. KDB has 2 very iffy games in terms of starting due to other comps followed by a blank. I’m hoping my -4 is worth it!

One week C punt on Jesus or Aguero or just a 1 pointer waiting to happen?

I have a few from those who are defs in my final squad Salah, Kane, Bruno even. But playing with the idea of not having Son this week and punting on a differential captain (such as City player, Ings for example) and bring Son back next week and also bring in C.Wilson for a punt to end the season

I thí k it's too punty. Neither might play but also neither are in such good form that you captain them. Pick Jesus over Aguero if you captain either though and good luck.

Aguero could get the most minutes out of the 2. He isn’t used in big games at the moment so he might get the run out against Leeds.

Jesus only gets mini hauls anyway as captain

Thinking this also, he played 0 minutes in UCL whilst Jesus played 30 but not sure it counts for much. Might be a coin toss but feel either will at least get 1 minute unfortunately so not sure which to go with...

Agreed, happy to own him for one week to get off template and bring in Son next week as I said above but just worry i'll be looking at another 1 point C after Son punt last week

Ha. Surely baseball can't be as boring as cricket. I mean...it doesn't go on all day, for 5 long days....does it?

(Similar though; great to sit in the stand with some beers and chill out watching cricket, even though I don't care about it. So basically, just nice to have drinks with your mates!)

Was in the US a few years back when you lot were playing in the Copa America. Was probably summer of 2016, good atmosphere around the bars when games were on especially US. Could only imagine what it would be like when the US are in the WC.
Although yes much like in Australia, if there isn't a WC or Asian cup game on people don't pay much attention

San Diego has some “soccer” culture but it’s mostly the Mexican crowd. I went to Chile/Mexico in San Francisco back in Copa 2016 and the Mexican fans were insane, packed the whole stadium. Then Chile racked them 7-0 and the Mexican fans started throwing shite and trashing the whole place. Proper football!

Yeah it’s impossible to watch games with the erratic streaming. I watch the Spanish language stations for CL, but they don’t carry much prem. Thinking about going VPN so I can get motd and whatnot also

I preferred watching the Mexican league to MLS. More skilful, tough lads who liked a row, defences were poor at times. MLS had some pensioner 'stars' from Europe, not bad football at times until the attack got close to goal, poor decision making. Couldn't understand why they didn't have more younger American players in each team to improve them and the level of football overall. Aren't there plenty of lads on college soccer scholarships? How can that help the national men's team. The women's team are world class, confident and brilliant.

I think it’s a matter of having the 5th choice of athletes; MLS could easily have improved that issue by paying kids more, but they are spending 75% of revenues on the name guys that sell advertising. Bad part is that they get paid enough to rob LigaMX of their best players so it keeps both leagues in mediocrity. It’s a poorly run league and may not survive long term effects of Covid.

Our women’s game is great because they get the top female athletes and actually have a decent grass roots system. Klinsmann was on to something, but they dumped him at the first sign of trouble.

Baseball is boring to play, terrible on tv but a good live experience. Nostalgic like a football match; lots of tradition.

If tailgating made it to the UK (which seems almost impossible due to the suburban stadiums) the pubs would probably go out of business lol.
Went to a Bills game for the tailgate in late December a few years back and wasn't disappointed.
Now want to tick off an SEC football match next time I go.

I’m from Green Bay Wisconsin originally; nothing like a Packers tailgate. Stadium used to seat more than the town’s population back in the day; suburban homes across the street. It’s actually one of the things that attracted me to football; actual connection between the town and the team

Sorry meant to say lack of suburban stadiums. PL stadiums all seem to be near built up areas with not much parking space.
Games at Lambeau would be immense though, especially if you can brave the cold haha, its cool the Packers are owned by the fans as well.
That's also why I was drawn to be a Steelers fan. The connection between the gritty steel town with salt of the earth hard working people who have experienced the ups and downs following their team... The Penguins being good helps as well haha

Man; has that narrative made it around the world? ESPN really really wants him to leave so they can do Payton Manning coverage 24/7 on him for two years. I like the kid they drafted and our WRs, we’ve been to two straight nfc championships and 26-6 in last two seasons; I think the national media can kick rocks

Really been put off ESPN recently, we get the telecast here and Sportscenter and the breakfast shows aren't what they were. SVP the only one watching imo. I enjoy listening to Rodgers segments on the Pat Mcafee show so was an all time moment when you guys drafted Love last year. The receivers are fine, they weren't the reason you haven't made it past the NFCCG, you need defense

If there ever was a game KDB is benched, this is the one. Cannot see why a single minute is needed when they have a 2-1 Dortmund league to protect followed by a Chelsea Wembley semi final

No. Leicester need him firing and he won't et match fit on the bench. He wants to impress Southgate too though he might be too late there.

Both but Lingard is peaking and doesn't have a long season behind him. Jota in a less confident team.

      I prefer Lingard.

I bought in Jota on a WC just to get the 2 price rises and sell him for that vital 0.1 profit.

He's great, but he's also potentially a great sub. I prefer to take my benching risks at the back and have a more solid front 7. But there's many ways to skin a cat.

JWP does tempt me though, marginally more than say Armstrong as the set pieces against a deep defending team could work out. Pereira is a shout but just worry I am chasing last weeks points...
