FPL team reveals: Mark Sutherns reveals his final draft for Gameweek 1

Fantasy Football Scout’s very own Mark Sutherns has been discussing his final Fantasy Premier League (FPL) team over on our YouTube channel – subject to any last-minute tinkering of course.

This is an exclusive for Premium Members – and there’ll be plenty more to come in 2021/22.

FPL pre-season: Trossard hits hat-trick from wing-back role 1

In his latest video, the FPL BlackBox co-host discusses Bruno Fernandes (£12.0m), Kostas Tsimikas (£4.0m) and a couple of intriguing mid-price midfielders.

Mark explains his 3-5-2 set-up, premium midfielder choices and the omission of Danny Ings (£8.0m), plus lots more.

One thing to note, since the team reveal was recorded, Mark has switched Ben White (£4.5m) to Luke Ayling (£4.5m), something he touched on in the video.

      Wilson is a contender for me too (as is Bamford). KDB-less Gundo seems like a no brainer but I'm just concerned as to whether hrealish starting alongside gundo makes him less attacking? Plus the consensus seems to be that Mahrez is on pens... what are you thinking?

    Hi all. For the first time ever I am going with a GW1 BB. I am usually quite firmly in the camp of DGW usage, however the opportunity of a second Liverpool defender vs Norwich, two Arsenal ‘starters’ vs a newly promoted team and a quality keeper option (to downgrade almost immediately to free up funds) tempted me to use it.

    It hasn’t affected my first choice XI, and I was always going to waste my GW1 transfer, so I will get chance to use that transfer to get a no -playing keeper.

    Also, it is like using two chips in the same week without having to plan it for weeks in advance and inhibit my lineup over that period. What are people’s thoughts on this line up?

      BB is a crap shoot anyway so why not? Only downside is GW1 is usually so nuts with templates disappointing and big points from forgotten players. GW1 is unpredictable for starting lineups but why not. Go for it.

        Thanks, that’s why I thought. As much of a gamble as GW1 can be, most of these players are quite important to their teams so should start. At first I thought it was a big risk, but I’m not relying on key players who have returned from the euros, so GW1 seems the most likely week that this group will have the best chance to all start

          I am going with the same strategy and logic. Going without Bruno unlocks it perfectly. I might even do Salah to Bruno in GW3 as looking to WC very early.

          It's a fair question but no, in fact I do have the .5 in the bank but I'd rather keep it right where it is as a contingency. I think Rich has probably had the best pre-season of anyone, has got to be riding a high right now. DCL more or a risk for me Vs a Gold Medal winning, Golden boot winning Olympian who seems well up for jumping straight into the new season
