Cristiano Ronaldo’s FPL price and position revealed

Cristiano Ronaldo has finally been priced up by Fantasy Premier League (FPL) following the completion of his transfer from Juventus to Manchester United.

The 36-year-old striker has been listed as a forward in FPL and comes in at £12.5m, making him the joint-most expensive player in the game alongside Mohamed Salah.

Ronaldo is £1.0m pricier than Romelu Lukaku (£11.5m) and some £400k dearer than Bruno Fernandes (£12.1m), who many Fantasy managers are seemingly offloading in order to fund a move for his incoming compatriot.

The former Juve and Real Madrid man’s FPL price, as is the case with all new additions, will be locked for seven days upon his Tuesday lunchtime inclusion in the game.

Fernandes remains, for now, the most-owned player in the game despite the 100,000+ sales since the Gameweek 3 deadline.

      cant see it personally. those that will have sold, have sold. whilst most are now scrambling to get in Ronaldo, and you cant get funds from White to do that, or its on wildcard so it wont count anyway.

      might be a slow drift there over the next few GWs if he doesnt get a return. he is good value @4.4 with those fixtures to be fair.

    Any obvious errors with this WC draft? It's a toss up between Jota and Greenwood for now, can't really decide, think Gray could well be the bargain of the century and at 5.6m is an absolute steal, Ronaldo can easily be changed to Lukaku from GW7 onwards.

    Looking at this at the minute (on WC):

    Sanchez (Steele)
    Chilwell VVD Marcal (Liv Duffy)
    Salah Raphinha Sarr Gray (Gilmour)
    Antonio Ronaldo Lukaku

    Have the option of going with Matip over VVD, lets me go with Semedo over Marcal and upgrading Gilmour to a 5.5 (thinking Cantwell as a punt), but VVD makes me feel less bad about having to drop TAA and might be easier to get back to him if I need to.

        Tuchel said he's not been involved as he came back late and hasn't been up to speed and he didn't want to throw him into the deep end, but he's ready now. I know Alonso might still end up playing v Villa but I'd still take the chance, Chilwell for 5.8 (probably 5.7 by the time the deadline is upon us) is too hard to resist

      Imagine if there were a GW1 squad. The likely response you would get is that it has a lack of flexibility, particularly around certain price points. If the likes of Sarr/Gray dont work out where do you go from there? Not having TAA, or the ability to invest in the "false" premiums such as Jota, Torres, Grealish, Greenwood, Mount, Havertz etc can really hurt. The premiums are not good value in a vacuum, they only work with the captaincy. At this stage of the season I would caution against having 3 as team value isnt really enough to sustain it.

        Cheers for the response, good points. I've had Lukaku since GW2 and think I'll be keeping him for the majority of the season, I think Chelsea are the team to beat and that he'll do well. Not to say the likes of Mount, Havertz, Ziyech (if he can stay fit) won't do well but I like to try have the majority of my team be players I can trust will play nearly every game.

        Sorry hit post by accident.

        Not keeping TAA was a hard choice for sure, definitely wasn't taken lightly, but Salah looks so sharp to me that I don't feel I can drop him. Not to say that I wouldn't get TAA back in (going with VVD as above would make it easier), if Firmino is out I'd likely move Salah to Jota and VVD to TAA after a couple of weeks. I don't have Bruno or Greenwood currently, I wasn't keen on Bruno after his poor form at the end of last season and in the Euros, but I I Ronaldo will monopolise a lot of ManUtd attacking points. He will absolutely still give Bruno scope for assists and can make space for the likes of Greenwood and Sancho (and Rashford) but I think he's generally too greedy to give them any chances where he has anything near a half-chance himself (and that makes a great FPL asset of course, like Salah).

        Definitely food for thought though, maybe TAA and Jota over Salah is better, might help me to keep Son and you're right, there is little flexibility there.

        Thanks! Although it can be a headache having so many good players and potentially good players to choose from, it's fun seeing some more variety around in some teams and in trying to find good options for my own. I don't think I've ever had so many different drafts in my head at once.

    Not keen on losing Salah.
