    Ramsdale
    TAA Cancelo Cucurella Perisic
    KDB Diaz Martinelli
    Haaland Jesus Toney

    Ward Andreas Neco DaSilva

    2 freebies.

Obviously wait til tomorrow but early thoughts are Cucurella to Trippier.

The only Chelsea asset I want rn is Reece James (and even him im unsure). Chelsea just look miles off.

Trippier would be a good shout (assuming he is healthy)

      Absolutely.

They're kack in a back 4, Koulibaly & especially Thiago Silva can get easily exposed in it.

He should sure them up a bit. I’ll get him in once he’s a sure starter.

Maybe even for Cancelo to get some cash for a Darwin, Jesus and Haaland front 3.

Yeah Cancelo's positioning and stats are very frustrating for that price.

Hopefully Fofana himself & James become even better options as a result.

Why on earth do you need Chelsea, you'll be getting forfana just for cleansheets which in 2022 they've barely seen. He has no attacking threat at all

in a 4, second half was alright even with basically no midfield and Pulisic @ RWB.

you know Fofana/Koulibaly/Silva will be solid, Mendy is the worry for me now with double Chelsea defence. He's in awful form. for the midfield if they don't sign anyone you need Kante to stay fit or Gallagher/RLC to step up next to Kova (who in turn needs to stay fit himself for longer periods)

    This is what i did:
    Ederson - Ward
    TAA - VvD - Cancelo - James - Fofana
    Son - Diaz - Martinelli - Andreas - Reed
    Haaland - Mitrovic - Archer

I gor very lucky with Andreas coming in for James, but i'm not too happy.

Chelsea will shore up and get back to being good soon. Everyone forgets their good games(they were immense vs spurs and as 10 men vs Leicester). Once fofana comes in and the backline is more or less fixed as 5 ATB with James Fofana Silva Koulibally Chilwell/Cucu they are going to rack up some clean sheets. if James is fit he is going nowhere for me. He was dearly missed today and really is key to many of their attacks. Sterling had a rough game and still came away with 8 points too.

Brighton were poor. With a team like them you just need to hope this was a blip and that they haven't ended their good run of form. Fixtures still in their favor so Sanchez/gross etc going nowhere.

Mitrovic.. be warned.. this has shades of the last time he was in the EPL. scored in almost every one of his first 8 games and then scored naught for months. when everyone touts a sub 7 striker as fixture proof when he has tot and CHE next you know that things are not going to end well.

Brentford were poor.. Toney really should've had an assist at the end though . He will be frustrating to own but will tick along nicely over the next run of games. I miss Zaha already btw.. sold him for sterling due to the injury doubt and already looking at getting him in next week with 2 Fts for gross IF Brighton look like they've lost their spark at the weekend

Overall, seems a good week to save a transfer(unless you own Rodrigo) and last chance saloon some players/not overreact too much either.

Ah was the 2018/19 season then. He just wouldn't stop scoring in the first 8.. and then everyone bought him and he scored 3 goals or so over the rest of the season. Things change of course.. but it's Fulham end of the day. And tot and CHE won't be easy

    3. Bartowski
      • 15 Years
      3 years, 6 months ago

Mitrovic didn't get on with Parker and found himself not starting games that season. Silva has set up this team to get the best out of Mitrovic.

      Nice post.

I agree with all your assessment. However, I had to sell James before tonight in order to play 3 defenders - other 2 were Trippier (flagged, vs Liverpool) and Neco (vs Man City). To me, they are more valuable than James especially with the fixtures for Newcastle. I am eagerly looking forward to buy back James after GW8. I think that will give Chelsea enough time to settle in with their new-look defense.

Zaha's performance always drops a little after the transfer window closes. It is strange, but it happens. The same way as you explained about Mitrovic. I will wait for the better fixtures of Palace.

Toney is frustrating to own, as you observed correctly. No obvious replacement at that price. I would like to buy Darwin, but that means I need to sell Sterling. So, its going to be a difficult decision. I will be eagerly watching how Liverpool plays in the meantime, as I don't have any of their players.
