Who's more nailed and better attacker?

Probably Silva especially with Nkunku's injury. He might get their no10 role for a while.

Shadow forward. On the other hand Konate and Trent may be switching positions, with Konate bombing forward and delivering crosses from the byline.

Thoughts on this team? I could drop Shaw/James and upgrade a forward to Pedro.

    Onana

Being slept on, people are reactionary and are looking at liverpool from last season. Lack of pro-activeness or bravery, some good picks there, expect Liverpool to come back to ruthless form this season especially with injuries clearing up. Klopp rarely rotates too much too

Agree we might be sleeping in them a bit and there’s ruthlessness. But not sure the rotation point is true. Eg last 6 games of season:

        Jota Firm Salah

        Diaz Gakpo Salah

        Diaz Galpo Salah

        Nuñez
        Jota Gakpo Salah

        Diaz Nuñez Salah

        Diaz Gakpo Salah

This suggests to me that Gakpo and Diaz are first choice with risk of rotation with Jota and Nunez. But no one knows who will start so it is an easy avoid for me.

This comment is pure rubbish. It comes down to rotation, which Klopp does do - pretty sure he was putting out different lineups every game towards the end of the season, hence why people want Salah.

True but GW one, out of

Not sure how I feel about Gakpo as he seems to be a midfielder/winger shoved up front and I can't see him hauling like Salah, Nunez, or Jota.

Not bad for a SalHaa team but Jackson and Wissa clear risks considering you have to start them both each week. If Chelsea don’t sign another striker that will help.

Onana being 5.0 and Chilly has always been more attacking. Many have both Rashford and Bruno, so there is no room for 4th defensive asset.

Utd were clean sheet masters last season. Personally not sure that happens this season. Onana changes how we play but takes risks and will inevitably leave gaps. You could see it with his half way line misplaced header in the Real Madrid friendly.

I expect us to do well all in all, especially in attack and improved playing out from back, but I’m not convinced we’ll keep clean sheets. Looks at City last season.

Then in terms of Shaw attacking output, don’t feel he delivers often enough - and personally in preseason he looked short of fitness. Let’s see how he does in tomorrows friendly and assess.

    Soooo first "Richi in" draft

    Onana (Areola)
    Gabriel, Estupi, Walker (Baldock, Kabore)
    Salah, Saka, Bruno, Richi (4.5)
    Haaland, Jackson, Wissa

    Or more balanced

    Onana, Areola
    Gabriel, Estupi, Stones (Chilwell, Kabore)
    Saka, Martineli, Foden, Rash, Richi
    Haaland, Jackson

Onana and Walker to Flekken/Steele/Johnstone and Stones is better – Walker might leave

If you dropped Jackson to a 4.5 FW, you can get Mitoma or Eze in midfield and upgrade Walker to Stones/Shaw/Chilwell

      B Eze or Mitoma

Can't justify wasting a mid spot on a 4.5 personally

        Yeah get that.
If Jackson doesn’t fire there are no other fwds for 7m I want but if the mid I chose doesn’t fire there are lots of easy moves.
        3-5-2 it is

Good point. I'm between Watkins and Jackson as 2nd forward in a 3-5-2 but it's not caused me to have a 4.5 mid

There have been yellow cards for kicking the ball away, waving an imaginary yellow card and having a go at the ref in the Sheff Wed v Saints game. These new directives for the refs are very bad news for Bruno!

Going to be a lot more yellow and red cards for backroom staff and managers too by the looks of it. Extremely bad news if your Klopp or Arteta.

The 12:30 kickoffs will be just finishing up by the time of the 3pm kickoffs. ( VAR delays in the premier league will surely see much more time added than in the championship games this weekend )

6 mins first half and 9 mins second half and there have been no lengthy injuries. Going to be looking at 20 mins per game in the Prem

Having Darwin is bad enough, benching him is even worse. You either have confidence he starts or not, you clearly don't, so bin him. Unless you are going to say you think he doesn't start CHE but starts BOU which is even more an excuse to bin. Having players and guessing which games they will start is completely pointless and a waste.

Im not saying he doesn't start against Chelsea, Think Pedro could do better against Luton though.
Darwin to out score Rich in week 2.
Who starts? Any of them could be benched. We are all guessing at the start of the season.

No guarantee Pedro starts either. So many risks in that team for my liking but it is your team. If you don't know if they will start and guessing if they will start, they need binned. Just my view but if you are happy with it then it is fine, just not for me tbh

    Rate / slate my team

    Pickford
    Henry Gabriel Ake
    Saka Foden Son Rashford Martinelli
    Haaland Watkins

    4m Cash 4m 4.5m

All depends on Son. If he fires it’s excellent. Not sure myself, I would downgrade Son to 6.5 mid and upgrade def but that would make it pretty template

Bench boost GW2, get it out of the way:

    Onana (Pickford)
    Gabriel Estupinian Ruben (Chil James)
    Mbuemo Rash Eze Saka Richarlison
    Haaland Pedro (Jackson)

All 16 starters, then adjust team GW3

    Thoughts?

      Why not benchboost in GW3?
Every player arguably has a better fixture that week than in GW2. You will also have 2 transfers to remove any yellow or red flags in the team.
