I'd honestly hold both Eze and Mbeumo.

Stones to Henry or AWB is an option.

Stones might be fine to play on Saturday evening.

I'm planning to get Eze. Definitely hold. As for Stones I've transferred to Chilwell due to minutes, fixtures and form.

    Morning

Is it too kneejerky to do this so early:

Gabriel & Fernandes to James and Maddison

Gut feeling says it’s the right thing to do to take the hit early to get the team into the best position.

    Anyone else doing this?

    Thanks

I’d hold off a bit so early if it were me. Maddison was great but not sure this is the week to take a hit for him.

You could hold off on Gabriel, he could easily play at the weekend to save on taking a hit but if it looks like he won't be the first few gameweeks is the best time to take hits, to get the team in shape. Fernandes is never going to be a good pick, hardly ever scores from open play

Depends on your squad. i got his 6 points and am parking him on my bench GW2 as i have 3 starting defenders and i'd like to see how City's defence settles with Dias and Stones back. By waiting a couple of weeks, I might be able to feel secure upgrading him to Gvardiol.

Rather than rolling a FT on Thursday/Friday who do you think looks like the weakest link in the front 7?

    Salah, Saka, Foden, Rashford, Eze
    Haaland, Pedro, 4.5

I'm keen on Diaby at home to Everton.

    Good luck for gw2!

True, could look at Maddison but it's tight.

I'm not going to avoid Newcastle because of Champions League, that was never a thing to avoid the top 4.

            Top 7 with Europa League.

Foden maybe? Perhaps a bit early to see how he'll be used but wouldn't expect many points from that wide Grealish role and if they land Paqueta I'd be concerned he doesn't get many more mins than last season

        Yeah, good thinking.

I'm sure Foden will do well over the season but it's itchy fingers with so many pre-season options on fire.

AWB is another one that got away due to uncertainty with Dalot and starting gw1.

Bench Pedro, Mitoma or Mbeumo? Currently going for Mitoma. Bench boosted GW1 and finished on 98 points.

    Turner

    Gabriel Estu Chillwell

    Saka Martinelli Rashford Mbeumo

    Haaland Watkins Pedro

    Pickford Shaw Mitoma Guehi.

They both have penalties though which is why I’m leaning towards Mitoma. Could always be Rashford but I think that’s dangerous. It’s one of those 50/50s that I normally get wrong

Both form and fixture suggest that you should probably bench Rashford and play the other 3.

I'm on Mo atm. Utd fan and don't think Garn has great end product, loses the ball so much - fans were getting well frustrated last night. He will be sacrificed when new striker is fit in a few weeks, Rash will go back on the left. Sancho looked good when he came on so he will likely rotate on the left too

Are you referring to Højlund? Has an unknown return date and Martial is glassman.

Garnacho looks much more exciting than owning one of the 4.5 mids.

Garnacho is my one regret. Fortunately, I have space on the bench for him until I get around to dumping him - or restoring him if he suddenly turns into the player I thought he was.

        *except Rashford and Gabrielle.

When do you get 11 players scoring. This week was a bit of an exception.

Last season it tended to be 1 week on, 1 week off for points in the popular picks.

You don't need to take a hit here. Bring in Mbeumo for Garnacho.

79 same as me 😉 think your first instinct is right with Mbuemo and Diaby. Just take the -4 early doors to get the team in shape, I've already took the -4 to get Diaby and Chilwell b4 his price rise

    Turner
    Estu stones gab chilwell
    Bruno Rashy Marti Saka
    Pedro Haaland

Pickford Eze Udogie osula (1.5 itb)

Eze to Diaz solves two problems
    1) Play 3-5-2 and somewhat control the situation if both stones and gab doesn't play.
    2) Have a cover for Liv-Bou

But on the other hand I don't want to let go off eze and I really really want to roll the transfer.

    What to do?

    Morning everyone:
What is the view on Rodri?
I know his position, but every year he takes more control of a game.
He is nailed and his cost is not much.
Does he have even more license to get forward this season?

    1. Tonyawesome69

Rodris goal came from a set pieces which fell kindly for him couldve been anyone, nothing to do with license to get forward. Waste of a transfer, he'll be back down to 5.5 by GW4 after his usual 2-3 pointers, better to get in mids like Madison, Diaby or Mbuemo

      1. Eze Really?
        • 12 Years

I hear you but I cannot help but think his license to get forward has increased over time. KDB going off could have had an influence this game

Looks like City will be signing Lucas Paqueta. Rodri most likely took up a more advanced role when KDB went off and Kovacic filling in for Rodri.

I do think there's probably goals both ways in Nottingham Forest v Sheffield United on a Friday night.

But they're likely to be the lowest goalscorers over the season.

More difficult than the above. Onana looked great from what I saw despite United looking really leaky. Still probably Onana. Spurs may have looked more aggressive but still looked really disjointed to me, no one impressed except Maddison.

Can anyone tell me whether Saša Lukić for Fulham is first choice? Looking for a nailed 4.5 mid and would prefer not to pick Nakamba cause have Kaboré already.

Nailed until Palhinha returns, so not nailed long term.
Why is having Nakamba with Kabore a problem? They mostly serve as bench fodder, and you will probably never have to play them both. Also tripling on Lutton shouldnt be a worry

You're right, and thanks for the info, just like to spread risk however unlikely, a fixture cancellation could mean I have two fewer bench players than just one. Every point counts.

      Eze

I think it's going to be a tough fixture at Wolves again.

Especially if they struggle to score, they'll have to be tight at the back and I can see lots of low scoring games at home.
