Normally a defender scores 2 pts when no clean sheet. If you take -4, then whatever you get need 6pts to catch up. Chances are that you should never take hit for defender if you have playing alternative

Whilst I agree there are players I need to deal with in future gameweeks
        - Pickford

        - Martinelli
        - Edouard

Martinelli and Estu you don't need to deal with. Both good players that will return the points. Jesus back too which was with him that martinelli shined last season.
Rest you can fix as ft allows, as long you don't chase points by moving sideways to players that did well last gw

    Onana
    Baldock Chilwell Estu
    Saka Marti Mitoma Rash Mbeumo
    Haaland(c) Jackson

    Turner Gabriel Mings J Pedro.

Need to fix Gabriel, Mings & J Pedro spots for upcoming GWs... Should I use wildcard or take hits?... please suggest...

I’m not sure they did it on purpose but it’s just happened & I like it.

There are now 2 type of player.

Player A) Those stuck in the old way of playing with minimal funds on the bench (4m defenders, Cameron Archer sort of thing) & using transfers to chase fix runs in the first 11.

Player B) One premium teams with 15 useable man squads & not being afraid to rotate most spots chasing the best fixs that week using FTs in an almost luxurious way.

Too early to judge now but will be interesting to see how it plays out after 15 or so weeks.

All which is happening now is endless benching headaces and trigger happy "I want all these midfielders and can afford all of them". Does not mean you going to get the points every week if you pick the wrong players. Look at Diaby, if he continues as is, he will get to 200 points no problem.

I don’t understand why people struggle with benching headaches, you back your judgement, pick your best 11 then forget about the rest.

Benching points or the odd headache is not a new thing.

With both Salah and Haaland you can still have a great starting eleven and playable bench. With all these midfielders in the budget and £7-8 mil range you dont need to make 2 or more transfers to swap players in and out.

Players like Rashford at 9 mil are redundant. No players in the £10m range either.

          haha 😀

And player A is settled with a perfectly fine midfield looking like:
          Salah - Saka - Maddison - Sterling - Mbeumo

Henry/Udogie/Cash, Archer, Al-Dakhil can stay on the bench 😉

This exactly and quite frankly, if people don't pick Salah does not mean he is mot going to possibly be the highest scoring mid again. He has returned every week. He will go boom then the sheet strikes the fan...

Salah scored 1 more point than Foden who played 6 mins.

This probably only works as an argument if he’s had 3 weeks of 12, 13 & 12 as opposed to 5, 5 & 5 (same as Watkins)

There are teams who will have midfields Foden Saka Salah Stetling etc. Look at the team @Sallarivederci posted.

The 7-8m midfielders is happy days for teams which own Haaland and Salah 🙂

None of us use arguments like that, because we both know it does not work like that throughout a season, and should not realistically repeat itself the weeks to come.

I'd rather own Haaland > Rodrigo next GW even though Rodri has outscored him by 7 points so far.

I'd rather have Chillwell > Gusto even though...

You get the point. Salah will have a much lower odds for goal/assist compared to Diaz going forward, and if you factor in nailedness and points for playing and so on (which bookmakers does not), then he is the best midfield pick in FPL (price aside)

That’s not really a flex tbf, player B would have Diaz, Saka, Foden, Sterling, Mbuemo, unless player A intends on captaining Salah, 10 points from Salah is the same as 10 points from Diaz.

            1. Salarrivederci

I don't disagree, but what I will say is that it's much less stressful owning Salah compared to any other Liverpool mid.

              On pens (even when missing)
In the starting XI week in and week out (crazy fitness/highly rated by Klopp)

Oh and a defender gets a red card? Salah will stay on the pitch.

You can't compare Diaz to Salah because they are close in points after 3 weeks. Salah is simply a way better FPL pick.

But obviously you will get a stronger bench'. A stronger keeper on paper. The second forward you like the most, and so on.

But Salah > Diaz all day long

You can own both Salah and Diaz and Sterling and Madfison and have Haaland. Bro, FPL towers made a mistake with all these 7-8 mil mids hanging around. The budget mids like Diaby way to cheap as well. Ha ha

Don’t disagree, Salah will score a lot of points but if you compare their stats from the first couple of games, there was nothing in the underlyings, they won’t score the same, that’s obvious but without the captaincy Salah has to score 5m more worth of points which is the debate isn’t it because that 5m won’t be sitting in your bank doing nothing.

I started with Salah, captained him v Bournemouth.

No the 5m will not be in my bank, but it will be on most others benches. And unless they unlocked some crazy 'BB every GW- chip', then it is flexibility and headaches and a tad stronger keeper and Diaz vs. Salah

Salah is going to score regularly whether you want to own him or not. He is the most consistent FPL asset the game has ever had and if he does not leave LFC, then he has another season to to get between 200 to 300 points.

                      Player A:

                      Play 1 of:

I’ve looked ahead & can have something like…

                        Saka, Sterling, Foden, Diaz
Haaland, Watkins, Isak/Jesus/someone in that range

With a 6.5m mid to bench/rotate & Chilwell, Espu, Saliba & two 4.5s at the back.

Don’t think the benching headaches are going to be as stressful as is being made out in here tbf.

Maybe not as stressful, but I had to chose 2/3 defenders to play this GW out of:
                        Estu
                        Henry
                        Udogie

You know who ended up first on my bench...

I don't want to make it 300% harder 😀 Was painful enough this GW

Ok Flower, don’t take it personally lol, he’s only 2 moves away for most given the prices you keep mentioning for anyone swerving him right now.

Pretty soon we’ll see forward lines like Haaland, Watkins & Jesus/Isak etc & that’s going to score plenty of points, don’t think anyone will be crying about you having a player you probably won’t be captaining.

I agree with you 95%. I just prefer to be player A. Suits my whole life situation and all a lot better.

Also Haaland will be 175% - 200% capped every GW, but City has lost a bit of their edge going forward, and we all know it is just a bit easier for defenders and midfielders to haul when they hit a couple of returns compared to the more steady 6-13 pointers from attackers.

                      Salah in GW 5, 8, 10, 12 and 14 could be a good captain > Haaland. It is a strech, I know.

Why is Richarlison playing with tottenham B team? Confidence or dropped?

Sure doesn't make me regret dumping him for Sterling a few days ago.

Because they need him ti score a goal & he’s probably going to fumble that too.

How is anyone talking about Havertz or Mount after 3 games when Richarlison still plays football.

    1 ft, 0,2 ITB

    Which to go with?
    a) Rashford to Maddison
    b) Rashford to Sterling
    c) Rashford to Foden
    c) Gabriel to ?

I'm leaning to keep Gabriel after a 0,2 loss because I think he will play eventually.

See my answer to identical question a few messages up.
As for Gabriel I would just loose him. I see no reason to have him. He needs to be on bench due to those late 1pts he gets anyway

Who is Castagne likely to replace in the Fulham back line?
(I'm guessing Robinson, but he does play both FB doesn't he)

no one, just cover for tete and robbo because our other cover options are not good enough

nah, tete and robbo are 2 of our best performers, will take a lot for castagne to displace one of them

but there's no doubt castagne has quality so should get some gametime to give him a chance to prove himself but he's definitely won't be considered first choice for a while at the very least

1.5ITB & 1FT. What's the move to make? Help appreciated
    Pickford
    Ruben Gabriel Chilwell (Botman) (Beyer)
    Eze Foden Rashford Bruno Saka
    Haaland Jackson (Mubama)

    Eze-
    1. Sterling
    2. Maddison
    3. Anyone else?
Or deal with the Gabriel issue? If so who to?

Probably worth a hit to move on from Gabriel with Botman an injury doubt. Could get Sterling + Udogie.

How would you rank the following for fpl draft?

    Eze
    JWP
    Kudus
    Richarlison

I feel like Eze has to be top. Richarlison has been awful but I feel like if he doesn't lose his spot he'll come good. Unsure on how to rank the West Ham mids.
