Yeah I feel that, but still feels slightly punty considering the number of good options with better fixtures. Still a good pick if you back your instinct.

I'm more worried about the effect of the Europa league. Sunday performances always seem to suffer after a foray into deppest Europe.

      AC
      Foden because he is Foden
Bruno has a great set of fixtures after the Arsenal game, think 5 relatively easy games if I’m not wrong
Either way he’s just been at the heart of everything and with Kudus coming in, the goals might be a bit more distributed at Ham because they have quality attackers now

You know it's Fantasy when people are clamouring to bring in Sterling.

    I get the appeal though.

Seemingly nailed, cheap and good fixtures.

Could easily flop, could easily explode - I wouldn't argue if someone was dead against or desperate to bring him in.

People tend to ignore all context and history after a haul.

      1. TheTinman

        3 years, 16 days ago

I went on Jackson last week which finished my Chelsea triple up, so I guess he was never an option for me. Probably why I'm slightly negative on him.

        1. x.jim.x
          • 12 Years
          3 years, 16 days ago

I went Jackson too, though I wasn't massively confident, but at least he looked the part. Sterling had only taken 1 shot (off target) before that Luton game and the points he got were hardly sustainable. Both goals were proper Sunday league defending and his cross for Jackson was a deflection.

0.9 xG from 5 shots and 0.3 xA from 2 key passes. That's 86% of his total xGI coming in the easiest fixture anyone will play this season. Worth keeping an eye on him, but it's mental you've got some on here taking hits and wildcarding to fit him in.

            • 11 Years

My best seasons were when I remained patient. That's what I'm going to try and role with again. Bandwagon is going to have to look very strong before I take any hits.

Jackson can be moved to Hojlund easily. Let's see how he goes in the next 2 weeks or so.

The worry is when you don’t think of getting a player and then suddenly the following week you are desperate to get him in. That’s where there is a concern. Those who have monitored him and see his stats realise they are not as good as others but I guess it’s the fear of missing out

      1. TheTinman
        • 11 Years
        3 years, 16 days ago

And, although I don't have evidence, I'm almost certain he will underperform his xG consistently

        1. Lord of Ings
          • 10 Years
          3 years, 16 days ago

Sure thing, we have enough evidence from his time at city honestly.. if he finished atleast 50% of the big chances he missed de bruyne would have been close to a 35-40 Assists kind of a season.

Then there is me who talked myself out of getting him last week, then he hauls and again will be going Maddision over him this week, get ready for another Sterling haul

I expect he will frustrate. He'll be a world beater and a complete donkey. But the points should be decent enough. The big change I've seen is how focused and confident he is. He's loving his leadership role with Pochettino

Hojlund supposedly debuting this weekend too - should make the attack a lot more potent. The 5 games after Arsenal is a really nice run too - BHA, bur, CPL, BRE, shu

        1. TheTinman
          • 11 Years
          3 years, 16 days ago

Yup he has performed in line with his xG, so if Bruno is teeing them up he should be knocking a few in.

Still think the Brighton game will be very tough for Utd unless Casemiro picks up some form.

          1. x.jim.x
            • 12 Years
            3 years, 16 days ago

Yeah, the Brighton match is easily the toughest of that run, but at least it's at home where we're a much better side. Mount being injured should see Casemiro get a bit more help (especially if we get Amrabat over the line today) because he's being asked to cover the whole midfield alone, which is a huge ask especially when half our players treat the ball like a grenade.

He's in a more awkward price for most people. Either two transfers, 'sideways' from Rashford or an Arsenal man out.

I don't bother with the algebra noise. Bruno is of course a very good pick. As is rashford. I haven't owned either this season but I'm leaving a couple mil itb on this wildcard and it's most likely gonna get spent on rashford or Bruno or bringing Watkins back. If I had to pick one now I'd go rashford

      1. x.jim.x
        • 12 Years
        3 years, 16 days ago

The "algebra noise" is to combat the claims that he's only had "one good game" - it doesn't even account for the blatant penalty we should have got against Spurs.
