If you’ve had a poor gameweek, never forget it is the players fault, not yours.

    Play one:

    A) Udogie
    B) Andersen
    C) Colwill

On Udoggers at the minute, being up against Salah isn't ideal but I think he could get joy attacking against Gomez/TAA. But MU v Palace probably going to be a tight game and Andersen could be a threat at setpieces with MU's CB problems. Chelsea are poor but Fulham attack seems to be struggling a bit at the moment

    3. Lord of Ings

Logically yes, as gusto was the offensive full back and Colwill stayed behind, you’d expect Disasi to move to rb and Chilwell to play the lb role, the only other possibility is caicedo moving to rb which makes the team too defensive
But then Poch has been playing a box to box midfielder as a CAM consistently even though he looks out of sorts.

800k to 250k. I wouldn't worry about rank too much now, still very early, there's over 80% of the season to go. Out of the 6 weeks so far I've had 4 poor weeks (ranging from 2m rank up to 7.5m rank) and 2 good weeks (255k this week and 58k another) so I should probably worry since I'm relying on random good weeks to keep me going rather than having any consistency

      1. Lord of Ings
        • 10 Years

Lot depends on the magnitude of the drop and rise as well, those gameweek ranks are fantastic and if you have 2-3 such weeks even out of 7/8 that’s great really.

Yeah I'm not sure if I've ever had a GW rank as good as 58k before, definitely didn't last year anyway. But hitting lows as bad as 7.5m is likely going to be a problem too

Not true at all. I had Botman but even if I didn't take the hit to get him in along with Alvarez, I was still on for a good week even with Udogie's 0 likely incoming instead

Disagree, it wasn't like one player went crazy and shot you up the ranks (besides arguably Trippier).

Burn and Botman got a goal and cleansheet, pretty normal return for a defender when they score, nothing outrageous like a hattrick and only one NEW midfielder made it to TOTW and no NEW forward made it to TOTW.

I'm on WC too and rather different. Still looks solid, but lots of players that are tricky to move on from e.g. Neto / Morris (not much in their price range). I do think Son could be great value if he remains up top. Maddison currently flagged, not sure if that is just precaution.

I think a team without Salah (Son instead) & Trippier (Botman instead) is more balanced, those extra funds can be used to upgrade Bell and Morris after the DGW and Neto I think is a good bench player.

Hi guys, would appreciate some advice here please. My head is in the shed so could do with some clarity / objectivity!

I’ve had a nightmare few weeks, fires piling up having tumbled from 20k to 900k (I know rankings don’t matter yet but still) and I’ve been playing with some wildcard drafts today.

I wanted to wildcard 8/9 but I feel the differences doing so now could be minimal (holding on to Saka, maybe Rashford)

    What would you do here?
    A) Stick as is
    B) Jackson to Morris for -4 and bench a defender/mid
    C) Wildcard

    Team at the moment:
    0FT 0.4ITB
    Pickford
    Trippier Schar Cash Estupinan
    Rashford Saka Maddison Foden Mbeumo
    Haaland

    Turner Gvardiol Jackson Osula

Wildcard would have the likes of Salah, Son, Alvarez, Areola, Morris in there.

    Thanks

Fair, thanks. That’s the thing. I don’t hate that XI - it’s just the need to overhaul feels strong. Next week looks the ideal time for me. Can always bring Morris in if there’s significant team news later this week.

How much of your team are you honestly going to change on a wildcard?

Can you not roll the FT then do Dias > Burn and Fernandes to Salah then you've basically got a WC team?

Selling chilwell for anyone except trippier just feels so risky especially with the gusto red card..
Botman and burn are great picks but their ceiling is literally 6-8 points most days and relying on those defenders for attacking returns is a long shot because they’re literally gonna score 1-2 a season..

Chelsea are shite. Other teams aren't.

Up front no doubt they’re trash, they aren’t bad defensively tbh
They’re just one of those teams who don’t score and neither let the opponents score it’s a weird one
I get why people think Chelsea is trash but even yesterday till the red card they were pretty dominant to say the least

If you think you should keep Chilwell then ignore the noise and do it. It's what I'm doing.

If gusto didn’t get a red card it would’ve been so much easier, not sure let’s see what information we get till saturday!

      B) Bowen
      C) Eze

For the next few weeks... Have Watkins so leaning towards Bowen

          Why?

Everyone nailed with good fixtures and from solid enough defenses

Premium defenders not cutting it atm

Are you going to start Gabriel v City, and your NEW/ARS defenders against each other? Or do you intend to use Kabore/Branthwaite?

I guess that could be ok, just about. Tbh I'm still wondering if the Salah/Son/Saka/Maddison (or Bowen here) axis is worth the sacrifices I'm seeing in WC teams now but I can certainly see the appeal. You might have the odd week where Burn/Cash gets rotated but I don't think it'd happen too often

Then spot on really. Great team

Only potential change would be Bowen > JWP and try and get Estu back in but think you're priced out, so maybe double NEW defence + Udogie (if the budget allows it)?

Plan for Estu in gw 10

              Bowen + Burn ➡ Estupinan + Kudus

Hoping Kudus is nailed by then

Bench a little lightweight but looks good otherwise. Be nice to have Trippier, but the extra 2m makes him tricky to fit in there.

I wouldn't block Salah to double up on Spurs midfield. If you didn't have Maddison then Son would make sense, but do you want Maddison and Son before you have Salah? Especially with that Man U double up?
