    Thanks Zophar!

I have decided to go without Haaland but have setup my team to get him back and still keep Salah if things go pear shaped. The way I have setup could just see me staying without Haaland. Risky business, it is all but a game though.

    Your response is much appreciated!

      enjoy the game

I think taking a 16 point hit is a healthy attitude

Current WC Draft, who to fill in the back of the fodder bench:

    Areola
    Cash - Udogie - Burn

Salah - Son - Maddison - Bowen
    Haaland - Darwin - Alvarez

    (Turner) (Lamptey - ____ - ____)

    A) Kaboré + Chukwuemeka
    B) Bell + Chukwuemeka
    C) Lascelles + Anderson (Triple Newcastle with Burn)

Would appreciate some feedback on the WC too, strapped for cash so going all in on these picks. Cheers!

      Nice team.

I would go C but once Botman is back Lascelles will rot on your bench.

You can always do him to Taylor or Lamptey once Botman is back though, if both are still 3.9m.

Such basic template advice to these questions and easy money for the author . No wonder everyone has the same teams. Is there any content creator out there who actually offers something different. Apart from the FML guys. When you have heard one of these guys you have heard them all

We won’t have the same squads, Salah teams will be down on premium options & flip side those will not have Salah

On WC. Should I go team Salah or no?

Personally atm leaning on 1st option without Mo beacuse of all other players....

    Team without Salah

    Areola Turner
    Gabriel Udogie CASH TRIPPIER LAMPTEY
    Saka Andreson Bowen L.DIAZ SON
    Haaland Watkins ALVAREZ

    Or

    Team Salah

    Areola Turner
    Gabriel Udogie DIGNE BURN ANDERSEN
    Saka Andreson Bowen SALAH MADDISON
    Haaland Watkins FOSTER

Same here. I want Mo but when I see I have to get rid of Son, Tripp and Alavarez not sure if it worth it...think thoae 3 can do more then Mo alone. Also Madders trolls me every damn season. Plus I have faith in L.Diaz, think he will do good.

Still unsure re Haaland or No-Ha on wc.

Basically down to a) Haaland/Neto/Burn or b) Darwin/Saka/Trippier or TAA.

A is the more sensible pick; B looks more fun.

Won't captain Haaland in the next few weeks apart from GW11 v Bournemouth, so if stick with the Haaland draft will mean having a guy in my team who I want to fail.

The way I see it, a no-Haaland team might look good on paper but as soon as he goes nuts and scores another hat-trick the compulsion to tear that team up in order to get him back in again would be too great for me. He is set and forget until injury forces otherwise for me.

    Current WC draft with 0.6itb:

    Areola (Turner)
    Porro Cash Burn (Lamptey Gusto)
    Salah Son* Maddison Bowen
    Haaland Alvarez Darwin

Still undecided between Darwin and Watkins. Head says Darwin as Villa's next 2 games are not at all easy, but imminent Watkins price rise is tempting me to switch (and I will be priced out if he does). I do think Darwin is the better fpl pick, even with the risk of game time.
Also Gusto could become Taylor (3.9m) but having bought Gusto at 4m am leaning towards keeping in the hope that he kicks on from where he left off.

Yeah I think it might be. Would go Maddison. I was a little surprised to read Neale saying (in scout picks) that Alvarez could be sacrificed in some of the tougher fixtures in the name of control - Foden seems like the natural scapegoat in this case (when Pep wants Bernardo & Grealish in the wide roles)

        • Fantasy Football Scout Member

The press conference here could be crucial - steering towards Richarlison currently

TBR football.com are reporting Maddison was limping in training yesterday!! No idea if they're reliable or not though

        1. DandyDon
          • 7 Years

was thinking Richarlison anyway, huge cost saving. Maddison is so injury prone and i've had enough of those the last few weeks!

    4. Joey Jo-Jo Junior Shabadoo
      • 5 Years
      2 years, 9 months ago

I would say Foden is 50/50. Pep's lovechild Bernardo is almost certainly going to play, it's just a question of where. If it's in the engine room with Kovacic or Nunes in Rodri's absence then I think Foden will play RAM. If Bernardo plays out there (more likely) then I think Foden is unlikely to start.

Basically, what Neale has put for front 6 is what I expect, apart from I expect Doku to start. He will rinse Ben White and then Grealish will come on to protect any lead with the tappy tappy falling down.

I wouldn’t do both for a hit. I think with two 4m defenders you have to be comfortable with letting one of them play occasionally, otherwise you’re always using FTs and hits to keep three others on the pitch.

That said, looking ahead I don’t think the Newcastle defensive double up is that appealing and Udogie out scores Botman by now than -4 over the next weeks, for me

His competition is Tete at RB and Tete is being assessed ahead of the next game.

Tete & Castagne did both start together in GW5 vs Luton but I'm not sure that we know they will be the first choice pairing.

Advantage of Castagne is he can play on both sides.

But I would be hesitant getting a FUL defender. Leno not so bad as he can rotate + gets save points. Fulham can barely score atm, so not much in it for attacking returns for their defenders (and a tricky run coming up)

Best 4.5m defender in the game (can't afford 4.6)?. Keeper is Areola so reluctant to go with Coufal.

    Leaning towards Guehi or Mitchell?

feeling like bringing in Richarlison (c) ahead of Maddison to try and jump up the rankings after last weeks 'season ender'.
    Good idea or madness??
Looks a nailed starter this week with johnson and Solomon injured. Johnson may be back next week though.

I feel like Alvarez will start based on his work-rate and pressing. This is in addition to the fact that he is on fire at the moment and probably one of City's most in form players.

Going off 'work-rate' Bilva and potentially Grielish would also be starting.

Why wouldn't Alvarez start? pretty obvious...

Foden, Bilva, Grielish, Doku are all fit and showing form / fit the profile of players Pep likes in big games.
