You are not going to know which of the BHA players start. They will all get minutes though.

Hard to know with RDZ on a week-to-week basis. Would guess Ferguson should get the significant chunk of minutes, but who knows

    Which do you prefer?
    - Son, Maddison, Saka
    or
    - Saka, Ode/Bowen, Maddison
For the next 6 GWs, barring injuries, obvs.

He has the potential to get the next 10 GW's but he is a really really bad player and people don't seem to be taking that into account at all. I'm a Pool fan and think Klopp won't start him in some games.

He's not their penalty taker officially any more from the sounds of things. Arteta:

“Well, there is one but then they’ve surprised me this season! I don’t really know who is going to take it. And sometimes, when I see someone is on the ball, I’m still doubting [whether they will actually take it or pass the ball to someone else]. They have the freedom to do it, they practise a lot, and it’s what they decide on the day is the best thing to do.

“It’s a very particular moment and is very related to game-state and what you’ve been doing, how you’re feeling emotionally and confidence wise. I don’t like to get too involved in that. There is some preparation, there are certain players who, if they’re in contention to take the penalty, the practise has to be there – that’s the only thing I demand them to do. After that, it’s their decision.”

    Salah Mitoma Diaby Bowen (Gordon/Neto)
    Haaland Alvarez Watkins

    B)

    Areola

Dropping Son seems to be the best option but I’m not sure whether if it worths. Was also considering Maddison/Porro to Saka/VDV but I’m more inclined to save an FT.

Considerations for transfer picks to GW19.
Do fixtures outweigh playing 2 games a week? This is a hard one for me. Chelsea and Spurs are going to be less stressed regarding minutes per week being played. The caveat to this is their fixtures are more difficult.
Should we sacrifice TV to get new shiny toys? Should Son, Maddi, Sterling, Udogie; to name but a few, be sacrificed, losing TV for the likes of Saka and Mitoma. There is a good argument not to as it might prove difficult to get them back and rotation is more likely for easier fixtures if playing 2 games a week.
The negative impact of 2 games a week: Not only in my prior point, but it stands to reason playing 2 games a week doubles the likelihood of injury.
Especially for those on a WC. I would strongly reconsider moving towards too many assets playing 2 games a week. I also think playing too many games has an impact on performance as a whole, for the team; never mind the individual player.
There are certain players who are immune from the above, such as Salah, Alvarez, Bruno etc. and one could look at central defenders too. But most are not.
I am interested how others are thinking because I would tread carefully when having examples like Mitoma, Saka, Trippier, Foden, even Haaland, who has had his minutes managed in the past. If your teams are made up of ManU, Brighton, Newcastle, Villa, Wham, Arsenal, Pool and Citeh, which most managers want. Keep spaces for Chelsea, Spurs and a few talisman choices like Neto, Mbeumo and Solanke in your sides for security IMO.

    1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
      • 5 Years

      - Wouldn't be looking at Chelsea assets until GW15 or do

      - Being brutally honest, in their next 8 fixtures (after tonight), I honestly only really see 2, maybe 3 fixtures that I think will suit Spurs attackers (GW12+13 v Wolves and Villa, maybe Newcastle too given their high and intense pressing even if a tough game)

      - ManUtd not going near

      - City aren't in their best moment but this happened last season. They're still doing fine, I think they will have a game sooner rather than later where something is going to click again and they'll be back to full force again. Not dropping Alvarez or Haaland

      - Arsenal fixtures overall are good. Keeping Saka and likely trying to add Gabriel

      - Liverpool are playing well and have a good run. Still considering Nunez (alongside Salah) but can't really afford him

      - Newcastle looking good and although it sounds ignorant and callous to say, Tonali likely facing a ban should be good for their prospects defensively long-term so likely to add Trippier this week

      - Others like Brighton, West Ham attackers I'm considering. Hoping to bring in Bowen this week, may do Diaby to Mitoma next week but I'd hope I feel it's the wrong choice after this weekend and don't feel the need. Villa are looking great and I'm happy to have Diaby over Watkins based on the eye test but need the returns to come through

Thoughts on this WC draft? Alvarez is matching Haaland most weeks, maybe not as good a captaincy option but plenty others here.

    Areola Turner
    Trips Gabriel Tsimi Cash Taylor
    Salah Saka Bowen Son Diaby
    Watkins Darwin Alvarez

      Who you gonna bench?

Very similar to my team. Same midfield: the power 5.

Is Neto a strong hold or should I consider bringing in Mitoma or Palmer (depending on whether I move on Son or Maddison for Saka)

Neto is good value but Mitoma is better. Palmer seems like a sideways move. Fixtures are bad.

    Morning all.
I have exact funds to do Porro & Madders > Tsimi & Saka with 2FTs.
Would you do it before the price rises or wait until Friday and look for another route in? Thanks

    Areola
    Cash Udogie Burn
    Salah Son Maddison Diaz
    Haaland Alvarez Watkins

    Turner Taylor Lamptey Chukwuemeka

    2FT 0ITB

What would you do here? Transfer targets I'm thinking are Tsimikas, Gabriel, Saka, Mitoma, Ferguson, Joao Pedro.

We're reaching that time of the FPL season where people who don't have enough squad value are trying to convince everyone that cheaper players are just as good.

It’s impossible to have ‘the best 11’ & a bench, don’t like trash benches.

I'd probably say the second option. I think that's a hit worth taking.

    I have a team with 2 FT’s worth 103.7 and a sale value of 102.
My concerns are minutes and getting carried away with the fixtures closest to me.

    Areola Turner
    Porro Burn Gabriel Cash Branthwaite
    Salah Son Maddi Bowen Palmer
    Haaland Alvarez Watkins.

Do I need to look at Mitoma and Saka or is it good enough ATM?

Good cash management. I'm half a mill down on you at sale price, and I'm sure I'm above average.

Were my team yours, and I had the luxury of 2FTs, I would probably do Son & Porro to Saka and Tripps, if you can afford that(?)
