    Mykolenko and Andersen
    Hwang and Palmer

Myko & Palmer - although I think the mid choice is closer than the fixtures might suggest. Kind of fancy Hwang to score actually but its hard to ignore Palmer's matchup with Estupinan/Lamptey/March/Milner/Igor all out

Tks. Hwang seems to return even in tough matches, that's why it's difficult. He seems fixture proof. But Palmer has a better matchup.

    Areola (Leno)
    Saliba Tsimikas Cash (Udogie Kabore)
    Salah Son Saka Gordon Palmer
    Haaland Watkins (Archer)

Ah jeez, you reckon? I nearly went for him instead of Saliba last week… also can’t afford him for Cash (SP 4.8m) without a slight downgrade elsewhere (eg Leno, I guess?)…

Because there's 3 GWks in a week now I would use up the 2 FT and downgrade Leno and get Zinchenko yeah. Him or Porro (Who seems to be on free kicks and corners)

Exact cash (no pun etc.), so probably needs to be done today, but will wait until the Europa games. Potential benching headache if Bowen gets passed fit but would be good to have some cover innit. Would give me this:

    Hi All,

I'm after challengers from the Community to take on the Scout Picks. If you are interested, email me at will@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk with the subject heading “Community Picks”. Please include your FFS username and FPL Team ID.

You need to pick 11 players to challenge the Scout Picks in a one-off head-to-head match.

If chosen, you will have a budget of £83m to select 11 players (no subs) but outside of that standard FPL rules apply - you need to use a normal FPL formation with a limit of three players from a team.

And remember to pick a captain and a vice-captain.

The Scouts are on a three-match winning streak and have taken an 8-5 lead overall. The most recent Community winner was The Mentaculus in GW10 with a one-point victory. A win but not enough the threaten Prophet's 24-point target, set in GW3.

The manager with the biggest winning margin at the end of the season wins a £100 Amazon voucher and entry to our Mods and Cons League for next season.

Congratulations to all the winners so far: Prophet, BadgeVilla, THFC4LIFE, Nice To Finally Michu and The Mentaculus

Anyone else kinda tempted to punt on Doku for a few weeks? I can't stop thinking that he's going to tear that Spurs defence apart. Granted he's going to be a rotation risk over the christmas period, but you'd still fancy him to get something off the bench in those games.

I just think at his price point he's worth a punt because the upside is huge. Maybe I'm talking myself into it too much, thoughts?

Honestly without that flukey mental game where he got 70% of his season's output, would you even be thinking about him? Outside of Bournemouth, he's had 1 goal and 1 assist while playing as a winger for the best team in the league.

I know you're joking, but Watkins has at least performed outside of that Brighton game (only 5 blanks in 13).

      2. The Mentaculus
        • 4 Years

I don't think its a kneejerk reaction to that one game. You can see his growing importance to City over the last few weeks and, without having checked the stats on this, he looks like their key creator in games like this where the opposition will actually have a go at City. Its not really a move based on past returns, more present matchups

        1. x.jim.x
          • 11 Years
          2 years, 2 months ago

You say that, but in the last 3 games where that was the case (United, Chelsea, Liverpool) he played 4 mins, got subbed before an hour, and contributed nothing respectively. City have got Bernardo, Foden and Grealish who can easily take his place, and you can probably include Alvarez in there once KDB returns soon.

I think he's a good player, but he's still very raw.

          1. The Mentaculus
            • 4 Years
            2 years, 2 months ago

The Liverpool game was actually the clincher for me - again, not in terms of actual returns but just the way they used him as the main outlet for quicker transitions, the chances he created & the scooping of bonus without a return. I also think Pep will be happy that despite his directness he hardly lost the ball at all - when nothing was on, he could still do the Grealish thing of just progressing up the pitch & retaining possession. So I don't think he's quite as raw as I initially assumed.

Still, I take your point - it is a risk, and perhaps it would be more prudent to assess him a bit longer before committing. But the rest of my team is starting to look a bit too template for my taste so I like to have at least one spot for a spicy gamble.

            1. x.jim.x
              • 11 Years
              2 years, 2 months ago

Makes sense - if we had unlimited transfers, I'd definitely consider him, but his lack of actual output (so far) and Pep rotation just makes him a no-go for me, especially when you've got similar or cheaper options firing.

      3. Maddi Son
        • 8 Years
        2 years, 2 months ago

I'd be lying if I said that Bournemouth game wasn't swaying my decision, but at the same time I don't think his stats outside of that game reflect how impactful he's been. I don't know if you've been watching City's games but he looks so dangerous all of the time. I'm fully expecting his numbers to match his performances soon.

I'm in. Thinking along the same lines for the Spurs & Villa fixtures with their high lines. Might just make it a 2-3 week punt & get out before Christmas but I have a spot to do that now with Eze out

2 FT 0.1 ITB and can't think of a good idea - should I do Turner to Kelleher or is there something more appealing? Son>Diaz, Turner>Raya?

Don't really like Son - Diaz. Owned the latter for quite a while earlier this season and although he was a bit unlucky e.g. against Spurs, he's just not as central to Pool attack as Son is to Spurs, doesn't get anywhere near the same volume of big chances, and rarely looks like banging a 10+ pt haul. Kelleher move looks fine

How best to get Mbeumo in and shake squad up a bit. Probably has to be Son or Watkins, erring to Son as don't like the cheap striker options. 2ft 0.0 itb

    Areola (Turner)
    Cash, Gabriel, Tsim (Taylor, Guehi)
    Salah, Saka, Son, Hwang (Chuk)
    Haaland, Darwin, Watkins

    a) Watkins/Hwang/Cash >> Isak/Mbeumo/Lascelles -4
    b) Son/Chuk >> Mbeumo/Doku (exact money)
    c) Son/Chuk >> Mbeumo/Palmer (rotate wing Hwang)
    c) Son/Chuk >> Mbeumo/Gordon (rotate wing Hwang)

I kinda like Doku tbh. Real differential and they have some good games before GW18. If you play to FH18 it could be a good strategy.

WC'd last week - and already have a James problem (rash pick!).

    A) James -> Zinc or Gabriel (and double up alongside Saliba, benching Lascelles)

    B) Save FT, play Lascelles

Is Dunk, Bowen>Tsimikas, Gordon best way to use 2 free transfers? or should I just do Dunk>Tsimi and save one? Here is the team as of now

    Areola
    Lascelles, Pau, Gabriel
    Salah, Saka, Bowen*, Mbeumo
    Alvarez, Haaland, Watkins

    Johnstone, Dunk*, Guehi, Nakamba
