We’re down to the last 64 managers in both the FFS Open Cup and FFS Members Cup.
We’ve got the Gameweek 16 results for you in this article, as well as the draws for the next round of each competition.
A total of £600 worth of prizes are on offer across the two tournaments, with a full breakdown towards the bottom of this article.
A reminder that these cup competitions are independent from the ones that you can see on the FPL website.
FFS OPEN CUP
All of our former winners had been eliminated by the round two stage of this year’s competition.
Elsewhere, our previous highest-ranked manager, ulafhai, exited in the third round.
Sitting at 101st in the world ahead of Gameweek 16, they were defeated 48-45 by AnhBuLaHo.
With Bullet Tooth Toney – who is ranked 3,517th after the Gameweek just gone – also losing narrowly to fizchelsea, it’s dankoottatep who is now our highest flyer.
They defeated FPL Insanity 53-47 in round three and now face Minhquan0409 for a place in the round of 32.
A Gameweek 16 total of 79 made Dollyems15 our highest scorer of round three, with opponent Parkgrange comfortably seen off.
Only The Fantastic Mr. Fox, who beat Haalandaise Sauce 67-25, had a bigger winning margin.
longvu1905‘s tie with todmod ended 43-all, the latter progressing because of the better overall rank.
The full round three results can be viewed here.
The fourth round draw is available here.
FFS MEMBERS CUP
There are two former champions remaining – but one ex-winner was defeated in round two.
2021/22 champ Scrumper was beaten by prbaker1980.
But rrcmc and Mohd Rodzi live to fight another day, having seen off sandgrounder and Boleyn Boy.
It’s Berries up next for Mohd Rodzi, while rrcmc now faces the second-highest-ranked manager left in the competition, The Dinkum Donuts (4,162nd).
Only KISEKLUND has a higher rank, reaching the heights of 3,372nd after a Gameweek 16 score of 67.
That was more than enough to see off iceball in round two. Tommy J is next up for KISEKLUND.
The aforementioned Berries posted the most comprehensive victory of the second round with a 62-25 win over Haalandaise Sauce.
Julius the Honk was all out of luck: despite a well-above-average Gameweek 16 score of 64, that total was matched by Daitheboot – who went through on the rank tie-breaker.
The results from round two are here.
The third round draw can be found here.
HOW DO THE CUP COMPETITIONS WORK?
The FFS Cup is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own cup game.
Entrants who qualify for the first round were randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores).
In the event of a draw, the manager highest in the overall FPL rankings after the tie will progress.
