If the points are wiped, non-owners have benefitted from the incident / abandonment…

If the points stand, the likely outcome has occurred (Solanke goal)…

The latter makes total sense, but I’m not sat in FPL towers…

The ideal outcome would be the lads regroup for a kick about at the Vitality Stadium tomorrow morning to play the last 30 mins and hopefully Solanke gets another

It is, unfortunately, just part of the game. We had C19 cancellations post deadlines in previous seasons that was just tough. Wasn't there also, can't remember exactly, the GW that was cancelled when the queen passed and if you took a hit it was just tough luck?

Well working for FPL, I would expect to work any day of the week, and on some days, not finish until 11pm etc or later.

They work late for sure, especially changing flags, banning people, and putting new players in the game etc.

I actually think FPL has 24/7 staffing.

But I think many people are stressing about it, and its causing unnecessary stress to those people. Solanke owners, and those who capped him etc. So they should say soon as they can IMO and not delay it.

If there are no precedents or written rules around an abandoned match, then I think I have an eloquent solution. I think that FPL owners of any goalscorers in the abandoned match (Adebayo and Solanke) should be credited with 50 points out of hardship.

Why doesn't scout know what it means for a game to be abandoned? The game has been removed from the premier league table. Solanke's goal has been removed from the goalscoring charts. It's not rocket science. The game and all associated points are null and void.

(Non solanke owner) I remember I had Kane and his ghost goal was in the end added the goal scoring charts but Fpl didn’t add any points

yea, its probably the weak employees at FPL feeling bad because people hit for Solanke. Emotions should not enter their heads. But they ofc do, and on occasion, let their emotions dictate the results.

It should ofc be replayed in full, and this result is null and void. But FPL is corrupt like this, so some shenanigans wont be a surprise.

I agree with this. Just seems a slippery slope if they start giving points to players in matches not played yet in the PL-table.

If they go down that route they might just add 9 points to Alvarez owners when he face Brentford next GW. Would make a lot of players happy too after all their pain the last GWs.

'There’s not much of a historical precedent to follow, either, as the last in-game Premier League abandonment that we’re aware of was Watford v Wigan Athletic in 2006/07.

That abandoned fixture was removed from the Gameweek it appeared in.

But even then, that match was called off before the clock reached an hour – so it’s unknown whether the magic 60-minute mark has any bearing on FPL’s decision.'

I don't see why the 60-minute mark would make any difference. The game will be removed, and all points lost, going on that precedent.

That was the premise. And I thought initially that it would. But it takes too long and they don't apply the same use of it from game to game. So it's basically just taking more time to come to as many wrong decisions as it were before. But it's much easier to accept a wrong call from a referee than this process that makes it more bingo.

What? If Solanke doesn't get his points Porro would come on for him.

I got in James then he got a red card, then he got injured again twice. I want like 20 points for that.

1ft and 6.6itb. Surely now is the time I activate the WC? Likely won't be able to field without a hit

I would. Bit annoying having to plan to get Haaland back, but in your situation there's not much point waiting, you've got to play it by GW20 anyway.

Yup bit frustrating having to play it a few gameweeks sooner so now I have to plan Haaland in with free transfer rather than just WC

It would be quite funny if Solanke´s goal count in FPL when it doesn't count in Premier League

Clean sheets do at 60 mins even when you are subbed off but your team doesn't get one.... weirder things have happened

They already do it with assists.

Not as hilarious as the red cards that get rescinded and goals awarded/taken away after the fact but don't count for fpl

Yeah. In this way the FPL loses its appeal as based on the real game.. It is a shame, if it happens. I think they will not allow that.

"Funny" like when March's goal counted in the premier league but wasn't added to my FPL points?

There are precedents - the Harrison OG/March goal, Kane’s ‘goal’ etc. FPL doesn’t always align - basically if the change is made after the cut-off time, FPL keeps with the original decision/points

Sorry fellas but all of those 3 examples are a bit different than this situation. This goal does not exist because this match has no result.

I didn't know, but if there is a precedent in 2006...it becomes shady if you follow a different criteria and take a different decision. But that's just me.

that's probably a bug showing Luton still, but who knows, maybe the cram it in mid week. Neither team plays again until the 23rd, that's enuf time to do it behind closed doors. But probably depends on the broadcasters and who was showing it, they may want it replayed on tv.
