Johnson is great as a individual option but He always seems to be putting in low crosses for Richy to tap in so I think Richy is the better pick out of the two but a double up isn’t a bad shout

High Risk. City won’t want to rush KDB back too quickly and risk losing him for season so can see minutes being managed for a few games. is Jota nailed? One to watch. Elliot has put in some good performances on right, Darwin seems first choice on left with Gakpo through the middle. So I would think while may get starts across all 3 positions likely to still come off early or come on as impact sub. Finally I see Olise flagged with possible hamstring injury

What is the point of defenders this year in FPL?

I've gotten 15 points from my defense in the last 3 weeks. That's 9 players contributing fewer than 2 points a game.

Yeah I don't have TAA but he's basically double the price of the other viable defensive options.

So... is it worth selling Salah to get TAA?

Defence and goalkeeper have generally been horrific this year with the exception of the odd haul from trippier/Trent

      1. JBG

And now Trippier has turned into a 6.8m waste of a pick it seems.

In the last 3 completed weeks I've had just over 40 points for my 3 defenders - but that does include captaining TAA for one of those.
In my opinion with all the money available from Son and Salah TAA is nearly a must have

      for now yeah.

tripps will come back strong in the new year. theres so many good cheap options in midfield anyways to fund premium prices for defenders

yes. i cant get onboard with the view pep cant move foden back to the wing after 2/3 good performances central. fodens played there well before, and pep has happily stuck him out wide to accommodate others. i mean hes played most the season with alvarez there instead, and kdb is levels above

      Tough one!

I’d say Palmer as I imagine Nkunku will take Jackson’s role and he should be a better finisher for Palmer’s assists.

West Ham might also be quite depleted so who knows how they’ll go! Mind you, they are playing SHU…

As an arsenal fan watching the last few games I can say that Saka isn’t as sharp as he used to be right now. He’s getting into the positions but his finishing isn’t there, even his goal today he miskicked it into the goal.

I expect him to improve soon

Thoughts on Son & Pau > Richarlison & Foden (2 FTs) and keeping Salah benched?

Have had Salah and Son from the start, so have a lot of money tied up in them and not keen on losing both. Also leaves the Salah > KDB move open later if the latter looks sharp.

    Would leave me with:

    Areola
    TAA, Porro, Saliba
    Bowen, Foden, Richarlison, Palmer
    Watkins, Alvarez, Darwin

          For me, Watkins is staying.

Watkins out won’t be immediate, only when we get Haaland news. Still a very good option but a bit too expensive given the other FWD options available to us. It’s between him and TAA for me.

Toney could have NFO in gw21 and then nfo in gw22

He needs minutes for me to seriously consider him. Also, Brentford’s confidence seems to be in the toilet at the mo

Far too early for me to roll the dice on Toney

Tempted to hit the WC button, sitting at 850k…. Thoughts please

    Current team

    Areola Dubravka
    TAA Porro Gabriel Cash Lamptey
    Salah Son Saka Foden Palmer
    Watkins Alvarez Archer

    Would likely change 6/7 players

Don't think it's worth a wildcard. Have plenty of good options there. Just get rid of Salah and Son.

People considering KDB need to really think of the long game Pep will have.

His target is going to get KDB fit for UCL. They will force him to take it slow, he's getting to the wrong side of age and won't be rushed in.

I suspect sub appearances for the next 3 or 4 games. His benching this week was more about respect than actual fitness

KDB also has the Euros he's going to want to be fit for so he's not going to risk it in the first move with a big setback

Those with 2FTs, Son Salah and no Haaland, reckon all depends on the Haaland news?
I can either sell both and add Haaland in for a hit, sell just one and get Haaland (but playing Bailey), or ignore Haaland for Newcastle and just offload Son and Salah (have Alvarez).

Yes, going to be deadline day decisions. Having the 2FT is going to be very flexible and we could even take a -4 knowing others with Huang and Kudas who are in bigger tinker problems.

Might be another week where a -4 is still a free hit (like two weeks ago after all the injuries)

I got rid of Salah and Son for foden and Bowen and have money to get Haaland for a hit if need be.

I'm getting Bowen for sure but no idea about other transfers yet

For me it's going to be lose son and upgrade semanyo or lose both Salah and son.

I'm leaning losing Salah and Perma losing son (bringing maddison in as a cheaper alternative when fit)

No point keeping either at this point in my opinion . Too much money on the bench.

I agree, not sure if I do it this GW or the following. Depends if Haaland is a must. I only need 7 forwards for next week

All group games will be finished by the end of the next gameweek too as well as R16.

Nobody worried about Foden's positioning once KDB is back?

Yeah, Fodens stock goes down without doubt

Sounds like an imminent return, maybe 30 mins vs NEW and possible start vs bur..

Others on here suggesting he'll be eased in over 3 or 4 games. Not sure about this.

I think Foden owners are ok for a few games. Can’t see KdB rushed back in.

Haaland with 1g and 1a vs Newcastle in the last 4 matches he's played against them. Not sure I'm in a rush to bring him in immediately.

It’s more his injury/fitness that’s putting me off as opposed to his previous fork against NEW.

      NEW look shot atm.

Unsure if Estupiñán's price is locked as FPL statistics indicates he may rise tonight, but FFhub shows his price is locked. Drunken guidance much appreciated
