No, he'll surely sub on at least once (and looking at how Klopp has managed Robertson and TAA in the last two, it'll probably be two games) and they have the league cup final the next week so that'll be the main focus

I doubt he starts both in the double after a recent injury as the 2nd should be before the cup final

I might. He would be a big differential and it's not like you can be confident about any of Liverpool's attackers starting both games in a double if they are all fit.

No. Solely because I will likely have one or two from Spurs and Chelsea too - which means i'd be left taking hits in 26 to field 11 - kind feels silly going hard on a double followed by a blank when its the same number of games...

No, I’m going max 1 Liverpool as double with blank next gw is like single gw (cause I will have Palmer Rich Porro who blank anyways next gw)

        Cheers guys...

        Good points.

So triple Man City and even triple Liverpool if you can get there with 2 FTs after gw25 could work?

Looks academic anyway as no announcement shortly means it ain't on.

I'll aiming to triple up on both. Will lose Richarlison for KDB in 25 probably which brings me down to one Spur, so I can sell Jota/Darwin with the FT to field 11 (bench: TAA, Porro, Darwin/Jota)

Good detective work on the previous article re: DGW25 for Liverpool

Which Liverpool asset will be your target for the double?

Jota for me. He could just explode. Highest upside.

Jota for me too. Unfortunately him rising last night has priced me out of doing Foden + Solanke to him and Haaland but I might decide to keep Foden or sell Watkins instead of Solanke instead. Worry it's a little late jumping on after recent hauls but hopefully it'll work out

Jota & Trent already in place. Will wait til 24 to decide on a 3rd, partly to see if Salah makes a quicker recovery. But I might go back for another wild ride with the pizza boy

  15. Biggsy

    Areola, Pickford
    Gabriel, TAA, Porro, Gusto, Pau*
    Foden, Saka, Palmer, Garnacho, Bowen
    Watkins, Solanke, Alvarez

    2FT and £8.8m ITB

Issues about forwards aside, that defence feels a bit shaky with Pau injury, Gusto not nailed and Trent's role under threat. Three of them also blank in 25. Maybe time to downgrade Trent (Estu probably) with 1FT and then either Alvarez to Haaland or a mid to Jota? Would probably free funds for a future move for Kevin too...

    1. The Mentaculus
      • 4 Years
      2 years, 29 days ago

Looks fine to me. Disasi is evidently not a good FB & I thought Gusto maybe had a slight issue going into this game (could be wrong; I don't own any Chelsea players).

I would keep Trent for the prospective double (and after that too, personally). Bradley's performances have been great but I think its a bit of a stretch to say Trent's place is under threat

      1. Biggsy
        • Fantasy Football Scout Member
        • 11 Years

Fair enough, so by extension Porro needs the chop to field 11 in 25?

I probably agree on Trent, but similar to discussions above, you carry too much into the double then you neutralise it in the blank

        1. The Mentaculus
          • 4 Years
          2 years, 29 days ago

I mean if we're just looking at your defence in isolation I would just sell Pau by/in 26 if he's not going to be fit. But if you need the funds or need to play 4 atb in 26 then I guess you start compromising...

Not quite following there, I've got three defenders who blank in 26 so just to get 3 out (presuming Pau fit) I need to lose Porro, Gusto or Trent

I got Estu in this week for Trippier which backfired. Expect he'll come good in next few games.

Would love to buy KDB also, just not sure on his minutes in the DGW given only 2 days rest between the fixtures...

Jota definitely on my radar but need more info on Salah's likely return as others have commented.

Anyone else a bit stuck as to best move this week?

Had intended on doing Alvarez to Haaland, but having second thoughts.

I notice Alvarez's minutes in CL games were always mostly restricted to late sub appearances, meaning he could continue to be prioritised for starts in league games with Bilva/Nunes starting CL games (assuming this trend continues).

Also very tempted to get Gordon in - he looked very sharp against Villa.

Or should I fall in line with Alvarez to Haaland?

    Martinez
    Trent Walker Senesi
    Saka Palmer Jota Gross
    Alvarez Watkins Solanke

    Turner Foden Gusto Porro

If Tuner was at home I'd consider a BB in a single gw with the bench depth.

        Yeah,

I looked and the only times Turner got more than 3 points was at Chelsea and Palace away.

I could transfer him out for a premium keeper but that's 2 transfers and defeats the point of playing it early.

        I'll think about it.

Gordon on a st punt is an option but it's chasing the OOP and Luton look pretty solid, especially at home but might struggle at St James's Park.

        Have a good evening.

Quote 'When Haaland and De Bruyne aren’t in need of minute management, however, there’s likely only one loser from that situation.'

With Pep we really don't know who will start and what the formation will be ... but one thing we do know is that Pep really likes Alvarez and he is certainly going to get some serious minutes, maybe not starting every game but enough minutes to have him as a 3rd FPL forward in a 343

For me it was between KDB and Alvarez. I chose KDB.

Let's go back to GW1 away to Burnley and KDB, Haaland and Alvarez were all in the lineup. So it doesn't necessarily mean Alvarez loses out if the other 2 both start.

Just go with Haaland, KDB and Alvarez and you've probably solved the problem and guaranteed at least 2 of the 3 should play at any one time*

*Terms and conditions apply. All decisions are subject to the Pep Roulette and any implication of guarantee should not be taken seriously.

Yip, my plan. Just get those 3 and forget about it.

Alvarez's minutes have been very consistent this season.

The only game in which he's played less than 60 minutes was in GW6, when a Rodri red card led to Pep having to reshuffle the team and make enforced substitutions

But how much of that is because KDB and then Haaland have been injured?

this is pretty simple.. its not relevant becasue when KDB was in the team so was alvarez , when haaland was in the team so was alvarez. just as he was when they weren't in the team.

No doubt that's true to some degree, but then Kev is 33 in June, somewhat injury-prone, and unlikely to play full games week in week out, especially with the schedule City have in the next couple of months.

      Looks solid.

Roll or if you have 2 FT pull the plug on a Brighton asset would be the knee jerk reaction.

      Good luck
