Which is the better BB option:

    A) Kelleher vs United
    Reguilon vs Villa
    Zabarnyi vs Luton
    Muniz vs Newcastle

    B) Petrovic vs Everton
    VDV vs Newcastle
    Zabarnyi vs United
    Muniz vs West Ham

      I'd juuust go A (Sorry!)

The way I would look at it is pair by pair, but of course the percentages are my best guess 😀

      A1 50:50 B1
      A2 50:50 B2
      A3 65:35: B3
      A4 45:55 B3

Probably when your second keeper and 2 sub defenders are at home and have decent fixtures.

Or when your 8th attacker looks primed.

Brentford is lucky to be in the same league as Luton, Sheffield, and Burnley. otherwise, they would most likely be 18th at best. I sincerely hope that Frank will move to a club with bigger ambitions in the summer because he fully deserves it.

      Complete tosh.
8th in the league for xG, and 9th best for xGA. This tallies with where they have been for the past two seasons under Frank. It's just been a challenging season with bad luck, and missing key personnel for long stretches of the season.

They are also a model of how to run a football club responsibly, scouting well, and spending within their means.

Frank also lost 8 of his first 10 games in charge. Two things from that:
        1- Loyalty is mutual
2- Do you think, say, Chelsea or Utd would accept a similar start if he were to move there next season?

Who cares for xG and xGA? They knew they will be without Toney for a half of the season and they brought who? Maupay...The only good transfer was Collins, that's all about their scouting. Just look at Brighton. They managed to elevate their game from the 2021/22 season and secure a place in Europe, they are a true example of phenomenal scouting work and can afford themselves a "weaker season," if we can even call it that. And what about Brentford? They've brought themselves to a position where they'll be fighting relegation until the end. Frank is a great coach, and it's evident that the club hasn't supported him by bringing in quality defenders, wingers, and forwards.

Scouting at BFC is a seven stage process with input from Frank at every stage so it's clear you don't know what you're talking about re internal support.
They didn't buy a replacement for Toney because there was faith that Wissa and Mbeumo were a capable enough duo (they are) and they bolstered that with Maupay (free transfer for a 15m player for Everton), who Frank personally selected because they have worked well together in the past. Again, internal support for TF. And spending within their means. I'm sure Everton don't regret spending 15m on him...
They have the 17th highest wage bill so they are "supposed" to be fighting relegation but have finished 13th and 9th, now 15th so still overperforming in a year where they have been decimated with injuries. Henry, Mee, Pinnock, Mbeumo, Norgaard, Jensen, and Toney suspension.
xG and xGA are metrics to assess expected performance so the fact they finished 9th last season and are currently 8th and 9th on those metrics tells the story.

The scouting network is not as good as Brighton's. Well, who's is?

Maybe - would it not be more lucrative in the upcoming doubles though? Added to what TM has said, Toney isn't exactly in red hot form and Villa are no pushovers despite their injuries

    Would you roll this?

    Pickford
    Gabriel, Porro, Gusto
    Salah, Saka, Foden, Son, Palmer
    Watkins, Darwin

    Areola, Toney, Pau, Doughty

Gives 2FT to get Haaland for 33 Vs Luton before FH34 and WC35. Toney vs Villa not a terrible bench option if Watkins still out, although could be tempted to do Watkins to Solanke or Isak if he was out but with the FH and WC not sure that is better if it means a hit for Haaland vs Luton.

    Good morning all!!

    Early Thoughts …..

Have the exact money to do Saka and Robinson to Odegaard and RAN….

    A- Yes
    Or
    B- No

Odegaard would become Foden eventually… Would leave me with Havertz and Gabriel as Arsenal assists

    Thoughts welcomed!!

    Cheers everyone!!

Why Saka to Ode? Surely the former has had his rest and should be ready to go at the weekend. Feels like its too sideways - would just do the Robinson to AIt Nouri bit.

In 34 whole Bournemouth have 2 away fixtures, don’t have FH left, might do those moves!! Can do VVD and Havertz to Foden and Walker in 35 or so then and keep Saka

Just sounding this out for a strategy... What do you think?

34 - Load up on arsenal and Liverpool players , and play a team that's 8/9 doublers
    FH37 to have 11 doublers
BB38 where I'll still have triple arsenal and Liverpool.

Rotation risk a big thing though for 38 is the one thing that's holding me back from committing to this.

Otherwise it's FH37 and BB in a random week

    1. Biggsy
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Why not BB in 34 with all those doublers? Still some nice single GW fixtures if you have the players. BB in 38 seems ridiculous as there will be rotation so the chances you get a full 15 playing is slim.

Fair enough, makes sense. I think my point stands about BB38 - better to have tough games than no games. I think realistically you probably need to check the RMT tool and see what week looks best for predicted bench points from current squad and then maybe target some moves to improve it

Yeah that's a good shout. I did also consider BB37 and FH38 but I doubt I'll get many of the key players for 37 with free transfers.
Likely to only get 10 points from a BB whenever I'm playing it tbh!

Hi all, along with Salah, which pair would you prefer for the double and beyond?

I am assuming Trent is fit and Bradley is not an option:

    1) Trent and Mac Allister (+Semenyo)
    2) Virgil and Darwin (+Sarabia)
    3) Mac Allister and Darwin (+Saliba/Whie/Zinchenko)

It does depend on wider team. Assuming that everything else is the same other than the players you mentioned, I am thinking 3 scores more - simply because I expect the Arsenal defence to keep more CS than Liverpool. However I think the midfield slots are where the points are, so using two on Liverpool isn't ideal personally.

Hi all, having to activate the WC this week with FH and BB remaining, struggling to decide which week to use them. Can anyone sway me?

      BB34 FH37 should suit I'd imagine

He wants to do it but can't get away from Chelsea and Spurs in gw37 and 37 etc.

Rolling FT into GW35 could help, could hang onto Palmer and get another 3 between Spurs and Chelsea for -4? That's my plan anyway

    hey all,

Play double arsenal defence again away to brighton, or bench one and play Zabarnyi away to Luton instead?

    thoughts?

thanks both, thats what I'm on at the moment but always wary with the double defence!

If that's the case why did you bring ARS double defense in the first place?

well mainly for the easier fixtures, but given Bou also kept a clean sheet this week, and have luton up next, it gave me pause for thought.

Luton scored in 18 consecutive games before Arsenal shut them out last night.
A single stat that should answer both parts of your question.

Yes, if you did it on Monday night.

This weekend it could be a completely different outcome.

its not just about this weekend tho, it bout now till the end of the season, will like do this swop for the double (of not saka then salah, and upgrade sarabia) so the question is more do I go earlier, does foden out sore saka from now till the end of the season

No. Saka has had his rest, Foden may get his against Palace or Luton.

Saka came off the previous match with a knock and was not able to make the squad.

Because of the opponent, he was able to be given the night off. He’ll play against Brighton

I'm considering Saka to Odegaard (luxury move) and even that makes me nervous.
      Foden would be even worse.
Buy low, sell high (so should we be selling Foden to Saka... 🙂 )

    Buuuuuhuuuu

This season could easily be my worst in 9 years. (My worst season is 162k in 17/18 and now 320k OR).

Foden haul after selling him on WC was a kick in the nuts. Went safe with Saka (because of Luton) instead of following my guts and gamble on Foden against Saka and get Saka at FH34.

From now on in I will try to play with my heart and dont care about EO. But its hard when most of your 50/50 calls seems to turn out bad.

    Kelleher
    Gabriel, Saliba, Gusto*
    Salah, Saka*, Foden, Palmer
    Watkins*, Haaland, Solanke

    (Areloa*, Garnacho, Doughty, Senesi*)

1FT + 0.2 itb (WC left but keeping for GW35)

    Any transfer ideas?

      Foden to Son?

Watkins to Cunha to free up funds.

Or failing that a new defender, or 2?

If Watkins is fine, I would be tempted to save FT. Flexible for any injuries /replace Kelleher

Hey guys, what do you think of the below team?

    Neto

    Gabriel Porro Doughty
Palmer Salah (c) Foden Saka Son
    Darwin Toney

    Areola Zabarni Reguilon Mubama

    £4.0 itb 1ft

Plan to FH in GW34, was wondering whether to get Haaland back this coming GW especially as he's rested now, and we may get leaks if he starts. Thanks guys!

    1. Saka to Gordon and Toney to Haaland for -4
    2. Saka to Barnes and Toney to Haaland for -4
    3. Saka to Macallister and Toney to Haaland for -4
    4. Saka to Garnacho and Darwin to Haaland for -4

In the RMT tool, United players are given a very high score for GW37, but they play Arsenal that week

    Have I missed something?

    Help!

    Bench Darwin or Solanke

I’m thinking Darwin it he blanks tonight, as Klopp might drop him? But play him if he scores.

Luton are quite tough at home for Solanke.

I don't see how a Darwin attacking return tonight dictates if he starts or not in the next game. As long as he keeps working hard for the team and getting chances then Klopp will continue to consider him for selection

You’re probably right. I have a memory of him being dropped after the Chelsea home game when he blanked. He was then on the bench v Arsenal away. Seems more nailed and integral now.
