The penultimate Gameweek of the 2023/24 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season affords us the chance to load up on ‘doublers’.

We call upon a trio of Chelsea, Manchester City and Newcastle United options in the Gameweek 37 Scout Picks XI, whilst Tottenham Hotspur also play a significant part in our thinking.

As ever, we are limited by certain restrictions:

An £83.0m budget for our starting XI
An overall squad limit of £100.0m
No more than three players per team

GOALKEEPER

FPL Gameweek 35 Scout Picks: Palmer among five ‘doublers’ 2

Djordje Petrovic (£4.7m) is our preferred goalkeeper as Chelsea travel to Nottingham Forest and Brighton and Hove Albion on the back of three clean sheets in five. Admittedly, Mauricio Pochettino’s troops haven’t convinced on the road lately, failing to win since February. Still, since Marc Cucurella (£4.8m) began ‘inverting’ in Gameweek 35, it has brought more stability to the side, offering hope that they can deliver. Even if the Blues concede, Petrovic can be expected to pick up save points.

Cracked open a cold one, now mulling over my team, Thoughts on these options?

1. Kelleher + Saka > Petrovic + foden (-4)
2. Kelleher + Salah + Mateta > Petrovic + Foden + Wilson (-8)

Think Wilson could do well this week, and is a better approach that taking -4 to get Jackson, who my rivals all have already.

Saying that, Salah is currently a good differential in my league (as is Saka), and feel like he could smash it on the last game of the season at home.

This Richarlison news is confusing. He's being left out of the Brazil squad due to a 'fresh injury' and there is one tweet where someone posts the video of the Brazil interview, in which it apparently says the injury happened this morning. And there is another quote going around saying 'Richarlison had a calf injury which has not yet been made official by the club. But Spurs press conference was at 1pm today? It's clear enough that he's an avoid, but if you already have him (like me) I'd like something a bit clearer and more official to take a -4 to move him out..

There's a very slim chance (-28pts) I can win my ML by going diff.(c) (there are sufficient differentials & hits also), but because the points are so close between 2nd to 4th, it's risky to my 2nd place, which I can 'probably' comfortably assure (if all goes to plan, which it won't)
