Think Amad will play the first couple of matches?

Between him and Bobb as 5.0, Rogers not so tempting as less attacking

But as I posted yesterday, MU will have the first fixture GW1 and 2, so a team leak will be likely both weeks... so you could risk it if you get the news that Amad starts GW1(which I personally think he will).

help, Im not super confident, not sure what to change tho

    Henderson/ Turner

Gvardiol, Hall, Pedro Porro, Harwood, Barco
    Salah, Eze, Gordon, Bobb, Rodgers
    Jesus, Haaland, Isak

    Really doubt in the midfield

Downgrade Jesus to 6/5.5 and upgrade midfield a bit. I would go with Wood and ESR with 0.5 ITB or reinvest somewhere.

    Martinez (Turner)
    TAA-Porro-Livramento (Gvardiol-HarwoodBellis)

    Isak-Solanke-Watkins

    Good to go?

      - Tino may not start GW1 and if he does, he is still a doubt beyond that GW.
      - Don't understand the Gvardiol benching
      - Foden ain't starting

Which pick is better as the 3rd FWD?

    Pedro or Solanke?

    - both have similar high xMins imo
    - Pedro likely has pens, Solanke probably doesn't
    - Pedro is 2.5m cheaper
    - may depend what formation is preferred 343 or rotate with 5th mid 343/352

I was uncertain on his mins but his strong preseason has swayed me. I think it's worth the risk. And I think he's a nicer bet than Muniz since he's 0.5m cheaper.

      Hi G40,

      Hope had a good summer.

Dilemma is always the first game week - every time I look at my team
I change again - team with Haaland / Salah one with only one etc. TBF whatever
team you put out all are equal before a ball kicked.

Euro's is my big doubt & who actually starts - on paper looks ok - bench week
which possible main concern with your squad if needing to change things in GW2 or riding out until
      WC
      ---

Barco - Unknow Manager in Premier League Fabian Hurzeler - could be a Gem if starts.

Hall - will he start GW1/possible alternatives at 4.5m to yield points (Guehi possible signing for Newcastle) /Konsa/ Mykolenko/ Robinson/ Anderson/Martinez/ Wan-Bissaka (if transfer goes through & starts)/?

Saka - will he start GW1?

Mathews - A good alternative backup to Hendo if no 2 but feel still uncertain if Johnstone returns will be fitting with Hendo

I thought this too because of the 'hard' fixtures. But I looked again, and it's really only Arsenal in GW3 away.

eve is an attackable fixture. And United at home with their injury problems is maybe even better than the first. I think I'm gonna risk it. The guy has real talent and explosive potential.

It’s a difficult one because in the first 6 I think Arsenal have got 3 pretty much guaranteed clean sheets. Whereas Liverpool for example have better fixtures but I don’t think a clean sheet is as guaranteed in the easy home games.

So the non Arsenal assets have a higher ceiling but also a lower floor I think. Making Gabriel a safe pick, but yeah it’s boring lol

    10.0m 7.5m Eze Nkunku ESR
    Haaland Isak 3rd FWD

4.5m DEF - Mykolenko, Quansah, Hall
    4.0m DEF - likely Barco
    10.0m MID - Son v Saka
7.5m MID - Currently Gordon over Jota

I don't think there is a "go to" until things settle down. I agree Hall is a better player, but Howe likes Burn so he could easily shift across if Guehi signs

        3. Toon lurk
          • 8 Years
          1 year, 4 months ago

Hall is a very talented player and could score big, but the risk you take is he has a bad game, gets hauled and gets benched for a few. It's happened last season. He's still young and a bit raw. Burn, Kelly and Livramento (displaced by Trippier at RB) can all play in the position too. So it may be just the case he is rotated for tactical reasons.

            • 10 Years

Hall does take a bit of risk in possession at times which might excite the crowd more than Howe! I wonder what Howe's thinking is with Kelly. I know he's only played LCB in preseason, but maybe he could challenge at LB. All a bit up in the air!

He is in my team, still deliberating slightly, mainly because of the Nkunku noise.

      For me, currently this order:
      Bailey
      Nkunku
      MGW

I think he was best at home and he doesn’t get a good home fixture to begin with. If he did, he would be in my team.

Think B is more nailed, but A is probably the better player, just minutes that are an issue. So if you wanna risk it, go for A.

      B.

I don't want Bobb as my 3rd City in case I want Foden. I have Gvardiol and Haaland already.

Yes, likely first choice RW but expect early subs and Newcastle are still looking to buy RW

He's not 'first choice'. Murphy has had a good preseason and will likely start gw1, but Almiron has always been first choice and I don't think a few preseason goals will change that

          Don't agree with that.

Look at the starts in the second half of last season

Murphy should start, but always a chance that Howe makes subs at ~60 mins to freshen up the attack. Miggy hasn't looked good in his limited preseason appearances, so Murphy probably has the edge to start with.

Barnes has played LW and also as a second striker in preseason. He hasn't looked too good until his goal yesterday. I'd say he's behind Gordon, but will probably get minutes and Gordon may not play a full 90 to start off with.

Not sure if Newcastle are still in the market for a RW or if the budget is going solely on Guehi. Might depend on any outgoings.

Seeing very little discussion around Andy Robertson, stats and fixtures wise he's right up there with the best of them.
Is it cause everyone's choosing TAA if they want a premium liverpool defender?

Someone around here told me that Slot likes one of his FBs, usually on Robertson's side, to tuck in when in possession and play as a CB. That was enough to put me off Robertson.

Been carrying an injury and played 0 mins in preseason. However he has been taking part in full contact training this week and is expected to get mins today so there will be an increase in Robbo interest soon

Burn to any playing 4.0, play Anderson

Thank you. But I don't see any 6.5m mid better than ESR and Minteh. My plan is to play Nkunku most weeks and then rotate between ESR and Minteh depending on fixtures.

    Roast my team. 0.0 ITB

    Pope - Flekken
    TAA - Porro - Konsa - (Sugawara) - (Barco)
    Salah - Son - Matinelli - Kamada - (Nkunku)
    Watkins - Isak - Muniz

GW1 transfer of Martinelli to a MCI player (Grealish if injury was not serious, Bobb if there is bandwagon, someone else for 6.5)

GW2 transfer of Porro to Gabriel

no transfer just rotation until GW6 - likely getting in Haland for FUL-WOL-SOU-BOU-BHA run and selling Salah

    1. Tonyawesome69
      • 7 Years
      1 year, 4 months ago

      - Too much money in GK spots. Pope set and forget + 4.0m fodder and improve 4th def
      - Martinelli isn't nailed, competing with Trossard
      - Watkins 0 mins in preseason and no friendlies left
      - hate the booked defender transfer in GW2

      1. Tonyawesome69

Fair. But I want CRY coverage as fixtures are great and it fits my rotation extremely well. + I think people here do not watch Bundesliga games at all, Kamada is a menace.

        - Martinelli is there just for one GW and if line-up news sound like Trossard is starting, I will get him in of course. I just like Martinelli more for FPL threat.

        - even if Watkins missed GW1/2, which I highly doubt, he is a must-have in Haland-less draft for me with those games. That´s why I have bench (Barco v EVE GW1, Sugawara v NFO at home in GW2 - he is a menace)

        - the transfer of Porro to ARS/MCI defender (currently Gabriel) is amazing 🙂

        1. Tonyawesome69
          • 7 Years
          1 year, 4 months ago

          - why is Martinelli only for 1GW? You are already have a planed GW2 defender transfer?

          - concern is more lack of match fitness/sharpness so slow start.

          - booked transfer potentially puts you behind any bandwagons or injuries

          1. Club-De-Belon
            • 4 Years
            1 year, 4 months ago

well after GW1 I transfer Martinelli for a MCI mid

then after GW2 I transfer out Porro for ARS (or maybe MCI) def

thanks for the fitness info, I did not know, but still it´s between him and Trossard so I will get one in (same price)

The transfers are for GW2 and 3 then. Still hate the idea of 2 transfers booked consecutively when we have no idea what is expected beyond GW1.

Konsa is decent pick imo. no need to save 0,5 on GK while Flekken also covers nicely for Pope´s meetings with MCI, ARS, CHE and TOT (Flekken has SOU, WHU, FUL, IPS instead)

I am with you if people plan to switch them constantly (GW 1-3-5-7-9 vs 2-4-6-8 etc) but I want Flekken only to cover 4 games in first half of the season. I like to wildcard late.

Good balance. Have you considered downgrading Trent and Muniz to Solanke.

      1. Club-De-Belon
        • 4 Years

I do not think TAA+Muniz combo can be beaten by any defender I do not have + Solanke + penalty on Son.

But I definitely do plan to sell Son for Saka and get in Solanke later on.

*penalty on Son = unless you expect TOT to score shitload of goals, your attacking players could steal each others points unless you expect them to be the only two involved from the whole squad, non-stop.

I rarely double-up on same-team attackers, only in ideal conditions. Spurs are not in one at the moment (NEW + ARS + solid EVE def) in first 4.
