In FPL? Lots of rotation. They have many players of similar quality/potential, imo, outside the spine of Martinez, Pau, Konsa, Onana, McGinn and Watkins. Even these nailed outfielders could get 70th minute subs

MU defence didn't look solid enough and he is not worth two early transfers even if 0.1 could be possibly banked. With WC4 strategy (and only with it) worth a punt for those who need a starter though.

Eze looks better. But let us see if Neto gets midweek minutes and what happens in next match. Neto is injury prone and Nkunku has been out for long time, so no reason to worry too much about his minutes yet.

In the past I have picked Bowen at random times when something good has happened in his personal life and I think he is happy. Its worked well lol. For example, when he first got together with Dani Dyer.

If I’m honest it was 50:50 between him and a few others including Bailey.

So no plan as such, I just knew I wanted a 6.5m midfielder, him and ESR were the spots I weren’t sure of and expected to rotate about

If Ramsey starts left, McGinn could potentially move in behind Watkins.

I think Emery probably prefers him out wide but he's played in that position before, so it's at least something to be aware of.

Pep pretty complimentary towards Lewis ... probably means benched next GW!

        https://x.com/City_Xtra/status/1825244688162619850

Pep Guardiola on Rico Lewis: "He saved a goal [vs Chelsea] because always he's in the right position. In the one-against-ones defensively, he's UN-BELIEVABLE.

"Arriving in the final third, as a full-back, in the inside channel, how many times?! In the pockets, he moves like a player few times I've seen in my life!

"He does EVERYTHING good; one-against-one defensively, blocking shots in the first-half from Nkunku, he's always ready, he moves inside and outside perfectly.

"Honestly, Rico is a top, TOP player! A top player!" [via @SkySportsPL]

        Saka Jota ESR Murphy
        Haaland Isak Solanke
        Flekken // Rogers Hall Barco

        1.0m ITB.

Flekken looked better than Henderson, but probably got to bet against him with Liverpool playing at home.

Fine with the rest of the squad for now - with Murphy the one as a planned short term punt (unlucky due to Schar...) - stick him or shift (to whom?)?

If you can field a defence without issue hold, but otherwise it feels like a sell.

Feels like Robinson would be a safer pick than Hall, because Hall has a bit of competition (e.g. Kelly), but maybe I'm being a bit cautious on that.

          Newcastle are the better team.

Views on Eze based on that game?

Tons of shots for him and the main man on that team, clearly—on the plus side.

Palace looks pretty messy and lacking play making, though, no?

I likely won’t do anything with him but the expectations on him and his ownership are a bit anxious. And not sure if there are better options at the price point.

You probably gotta keep him for the home fixture against West Ham.

It's not like there were huge hails from other players at his price, and he at least showed good signs.

But yeah, Mbuemo & Mitoma have started this season better points-wise than him, just like last season 😆

So my bench boosted no Salah AND no Haaland team is on 83 with Son and Porro to go. Thought Id have a go at doing the exact opposite of content creators advice 😉
Working so far…now need to get a grip and figure iut who to bench 🙂

Thoughts on this wildcard team - plan to stick with this till GW7 then make 5 free transfers when fixtures swing to get in City and Spurs assets. Trying to pick out the teams who have the best fixtures GW2-6 (Liverpool, Palace, Southampton, Fulham, Villa)

        Henderson
        Trent, Robinson, Harwood-Bellis
        Saka, Salah, Jota, Eze, Rogers
        Haaland, Armstrong

        Bench: Konsa, Winks, Jebbison
0.5m itb in case I need to move Saka to Palmer or upgrade Rogers or Armstrong

3 players are too weak, Rogers, HB, Armstrong.

Thanks, yeah that’s my worry but the only way out is to downgrade one of Salah, Haaland, Saka, Trent and I don’t have the heart to do it

I liked Armstrong’s performance against Newcastle although he didn’t score, I’m thinking surely there’s 2+ goals between GW2-6

Only way I can see is downgrading TAA to Saliba/Gab/Gvard and upgrading Armstrong to Wood. You would have 0.5 left then to potentially upgrade Rogers to someone like ESR. But no 5.0 pr 5.5 has done anything yet so we don't really have info. You could keep Rogers and upgrade Winks to Kamada or Traore. Not great really but gives you more flexibility.

oh I didn't see you have 0.5. Get Wood or Muniz for sure.

I think that’s the rational thing to do. As a Liverpool fan though I can’t not have Trent - I think he’s gonna haul pretty big next few GW.

I think its better longterm after week 2 to downgrade Haaland and spread the cash

              The extra cash does this:

              Henderson > Raya
              Robinson > Gvardiol
              HB > Konsa / Davis / Munoz
              Jota > Foden
              Rogers > mBomo
              Haaland > Watkins

Getting more higher min players and pen takers

to save 5t/f imo you need a strong bench to cover potential reds and injuries eg schar, tough to do that with haaland salah and saka ,but good luck

        Early thoughts folks…..

Double Arsenal defence or Double Arsenal attack this season???

What do we thinks going to be the way forward there???

Currently on Raya, Gabriel and Saka myself but I think One of Raya, Saliba and Gabriel with both Saka and Havertz may be the way to go!!

Yeah, just might want to wait on the dub defense with fixtures and seeing how he uses Calafiori

Yeah I think after gameweek it may be time to look at double defence long term, I went for it from the start for the first 3, I wonder if Raya, TAA and Gvardial is the way to go long term

arsenal attack is nice, but their defense is too good. Just Saka will have to do.

I’ve done a wildcard every season for the past 19 years in GW2 or 3. I ain’t gonna stop now because some content creator says you have to do it GW6

Gw 3 or 4 is the play for those of us who went Halland to start to spread his money around

This fits nicely for week 3

            Raya
            TAA Gvardiol Davis/Munoz
            Foden Salah Mbeumo Eze Saka
            Watkins Pedro/Armstrong

How can your judgement be so different from GW1 to GW2? Like unless you're certain you wanna change over 5 players or so what is the point? It's obviously way too early surely

I think it's too early, especially considering you can do a mini-WC by saving up FTs now.

Downgrade Haaland, upgrade 2 others to premiums and you should be fine.

Hasn't been anywhere near enough data to spot this year's key trends yet.

Looks like Barco and Johnson might be the wrong two 4.0 defenders. But I’m happy with 69 points with Porro and Solanke to go. My biggest issue is sticking with the plan and holding free transfers. Good luck to everyone with players still to go.

Quansah's fall from grace is a boot in the testes and ESR's minutes have got me a bit worried but when I think of some of the players who spent a considerable amount of time in my team during pre-season tinkering but didn't make the final cull, things could have been a lot worse...

Pickford, Virginia, Mykolenko, Barco, Pedro, Nkunku, Eze, Muniz, Luis Diaz, Areola, Fabianski, Bowen
