Took a punt on Garnacho and got lucky with a late goal from him, but with Amorim taking over I'm unsure he will start. Would you get rid for Rogers this week?

tough situation, if he is a starter good option to have. i guess if theres somewhere else to put the FT to good use, then hold and hope he starts. maybe amorim says something in his press conference/or a leak to give an idea of how they might line up

ah ok. not sure, would wait to deadline and then just gut feeling. with rogers, he's never played a full season before, let alone at the highest level, and now is being asked to play up to 50 matches this season. owners should keep, but not entirely sure about being a buyer at this point, can see his minutes being managed, could look towards semenyo or esr.

just what i would say is rolling is good this season, surely not many can say with a straight face they'll never take another hit this season so at least a roll when you arent sure on using a FT is likely to be saving you 4 points down the line.

end of the day if you sell and garnacho starts and he looks good, will you feel more regret than if you keep and he only gets a 1 pointer from bench, but at least 2 FTs to sort stuff out. more often than not there's less regret with the latter, granted sometimes the possible replacement hauls but much more often than not that doesn't happen.

    TAA Gabriel Lewis Mykolenko Greaves
    Palmer Johnson Mbuemo Semenyo Rogers
    Haaland Wissa Cunha

Actually activated the wildcard last night, aside from the triple Villa which I assume is a no go for most, if not all(!), what do we think?

    Verbruggen
    Konate Digne Hall
    Salah Palmer Mbeumo Rogers
    Watkins Isak Jackson

    Fabianski Damsgaard RAN Milenkovic

    1. HelmutCool

      Question of preferance really.
Villa with european games is a bit of an risk with triple-up.
Brighton keeps quite a few clean sheets. Damsgaard interesting choice.
Isnt Digne rotation risk with Moreno returning?

      1. Athletic Nasherbo
        • 9 Years

Moreno doesn’t play for Villa - they have Maatsen but clearly not in favour for Prem Games and Digne has stepped up massively this season.

Eyh Maatsen. Thought he was pricey, and promising.
Perhaps he plays in Europe then.

2x Villa attackers and 2x Brentford attackers isn't ideal, especially ahead of such a tight schedule.

      1. Athletic Nasherbo
        • 9 Years

Brentford are scoring goals for fun and not sure how a congested schedule links to that potentially reducing…? Rogers will play; Damagaard is purely for cover.

        1. Count Olaf
          • 1 Year

Doubling up on a team is relevant because it means you can't bench said player when they have a tricky fixture, as you have 2 of them - and in your case 2 pairs.
Also, Brentford are scoring goals for fun only in their home games, they are struggling away, which is half their games.
And I know Damsgaard is an 8th attacker, but during such a busy period I'd like someone better in that spot. Even more so when your 7th attacker is Rogers.

Perhaps, hoping Isak and Watkins go on a good run which the former is already. Fixtures are there for it. Trust them more, I think. I like having a cheap 4th attacker - some great options this year to move around.

Which order would you put these keepers in for FPL:
    1) Raya
    2) Sanchez
    3) Onana
    4) Pickford
    5) Alisson/Kelleher (depending on health updates for Alisson)

I currently have Raya but need to downgrade to upgrade Lavia to Palmer. If Raya is the top pick though, I need to find 0.1m elsewhere, as that is how much I am short.

No - couldn't afford one either I don't think. Used to have Saliba but sold when their defensive started to dissolve around GW6 and just kept Raya.

        1. Count Olaf
          • 1 Year

In that case I would consider keeping him. But if you can't downgrade anyone else, getting Palmer in is a top priority.

            • 9 Years

So in which case, which keeper? I am thinking Liverpool or Chelsea.

Yeah it is a tough one...... Was thinking United defender though as I will be able to upgrade Barco if I went for a cheaper keeper (Sanchez, Pickford or Kelleher) and could get a United fullback when it was a bit clearer who was in the first 11. Double up with the keeper is probably a bit premature. I am honestly so stuck on this question. As you say, the priority is getting in Palmer but it is how. Can you lend me 0.1m mate?

  7. Count Olaf

    Raya
    Trent Gabriel Ait Nouri
    Salah Saka Palmer Mbeumo Semenyo
    Welbeck Raul

    Bentley Wood Aina Greaves

2 free transfers, 0.5 in the bank

Assuming Trent isn't available for Southampton, I'm thinking of simply doing Trent to Konate and saving the second transfer.
    Any objections, thoughts or comments?

    1. The Big Fella
      • 9 Years

I would do it. I do not think Trent is worth the extra 2m. I decided this early on and got Konate in and haven't looked back. 2m cheaper and only a couple of points less than Trent.

I'm leaning towards doubling up on Arsenal's defence as my replacement for Trent. Arsenal's fixtures are about to get better and I think I'll go for a Liverpool defender after they've played City and Newcastle at SJP

Well, they were garbage at Wembley against pretty much the same Greece side a few weeks ago.
England have lots of very good players and, as ever, the key is building an environment where they all want play, enjoy it, and gel together.

With Ben white out for a while, what are our thoughts on Timber at 5.5?? Seems a cheap way into the arsenal defence and he does get forward a little.

Think Arteta does favour Timber over White for RB when both fit as timber is a really good defender so there is a chance he could hold the spot long term too.

I'd say it's about 90% he will be a regular starter.

However, that doesn't mean he will start every game, but I reckon he will start about 9 out of 10 PL games. For two reasons: He has been better than Dalot this season, and Shaw is too injury-prone.
