He's a good pick but I think the prices are about right. Isak and Jackson should score a fair bit more than him over the coming weeks. People will shoot me down for saying this (pick the player not the team etc) but he plays for Wolves and the goal ceiling will always be lower for Wolves than Newcastle or Chelsea. I think if I was fishing in the lower priced forwards I'd rather a Brighton option than Cunha too with the coming fixtures for the same sort of reasons, Brighton will score more goals than Wolves.

Yeah but he asked next 2. And Villa is the 2nd game. So Palmer only has 1 game to be a flat track bully. He returned against everyone last year, now he's 1G +1A in last 5 games.

      Atimis,

I have been wondering about Bruno but cannot afford him at the moment
however GW10 10 points & GW 17 points since manager left - only concern
next two fixtures good but then some tougher games & unsure system with
      new manager.

I would keep Palmer as fixtures looking good.

Possible FT & utilise Haaland transfer if selling following week after assess new manager
      & where Bruno will play

Just can see Isak hauling home to West Ham. If he does I’ll no doubt bring him in next week anyway so is there really any sense in not having him for such a plum fixture? Nothing to say haaland won’t continue his distinctly meh form against Spurs.

Haaland will haul again, but that’s not the problem. The problem is what having him and Salah does to the rest of your team.

On a points per million basis he has to virtually double Isak’s output every week to be worth it.

          1. Tommy Template
            • 11 Years

He doesn't if you captain him every week but therein lies one of the issues, most of the weeks coming up Haaland isn't the best captaincy option

Very happy with the rest of my team tbf. This week anyway…

            Raya
            Gabriel - RAN - Robinson
            Salah - Palmwr - Mbeumo - Rogers - ESR
            Haaland - Cunha

Only Faes on the bench though. Will need to address that for the upcoming packed fixture run. But maybe rolling to have 3FTs next week wouldn’t be the worst idea given I’ve no real fires to put out. Gonna sleep on it I think.

    3. Honker Muddlefoot
      • 6 Years

I would probably delay a week and make the move next GW, but if your gut’s telling you Isak v. West Ham is the more explosive option this week/it would feel worse to you missing a potential Isak haul by not making the move than missing a potential Haaland haul by making it then I say go for it! I can see them both doing well this weekend, so I don’t think it’s a move that would hurt you massively, but not making a move sooner than needed just fits my management style and temperament watching the matches better, personally.

This is looking likely. The more I think about it the less inclined I am to ditch Haaland. If I do and he get a double digits return, I won’t be happy. Especially as a City fan!

If he doesn't get himself banned for one of them Ait-Nouri is fine for 14 & 15 (Eve and West Ham away). The ban is the risk I suppose. Man City would be the other but good luck finding a starter from them.

Thank you all. I tend to go to Dingne (BRE, SOU), maybe the best I can get.

Kerkez, hall or dunk over the next 5 fixtures?

Prefer dunk’s fixtures, but he probably doesn’t start this weekend.

Kerkez’s fixtures also good, but Bournemouth the weakest defence.

Hall a popular pick, fixtures are a mixed bag with Liverpool and brentford in 14/15 though.

All depends on who you can rotate in and out and where you will need them. Brighton probably have the best consistent run where you would be ok playing them from 13-17. Bournemouth pretty good from 15 but I wouldn't want them this week or 14. I probably wouldn't want Hall in 14 or 15 either. That 14 week could be crucial actually and its Brighton's worst fixture away at Fulham but not as bad as Liverpool or Spurs for the other two. I'm on a wildcard and I've taken Van Hecke over Dunk because in my rotation I really need a starter for that Southampton game in 13 and I can't stomach any doubts over Dunk if he gets no minutes this week for the sake of 0.1m.

Start Brennan Johnson away City and hope City defence stays leaky or Garnacho away Ipswich and hope he starts/plays enough off the bench in the new Amorim system?

Might be a silly one but relatively set on Isak prior to the news Wilson is slowly returning… would anyone let this put them off?

(Trent down to 5 or below, Strand Larsen up)

      Not a concern

Wilson is just an impact sub, wont be long until he is injured again. Isak is way too good anyway to be threatened by him.

not really, if anything they'll be on the pitch together like end of last season in a 442. howe has changed their set up recently to allow for 2 CMs to stay compact and Joelinton floating as the 3 wasn't really working and they were so open

admittedly isak does look gassed by 80-85 so maybe a few mins lost

    Is the below worth 2FT?

    Mbeumo + TAA -> Palmer + Mykolenko

Yea I'd probably do that. Palmer is a long term hold and TAA injured anyway.

Yeah I have him but unsure whether to downgrade to upgrade Lavia to Palmer. I am 0.1 short. Alisson could be good. Pope or Onana. Alternative is downgrade my non-playing keeper but it seems a waste of a FT

Maybe Verburggen? He might be shite though, idk. I was thinking about getting a Brighton defender for Myko.

Brighton are shite in defence. I am a bit stuck. May keep Raya and downgrade my 4m to a 3.9m keeper and see what happens next few matches

Probably any cheap (4.5-ish) option. Expensive picks have been bad value, can't see that changing when the schedule is congested

Yeah it’s tough I don’t know what to do to be honest. Debating pushing the decision down the road a few GWs and just keeping Raya and wasting a FT on my fodder keeper to downgrade him and get palmer

    A) lewis foden wood to palmer + RAN/mazraoui jpedro (or) hall welbeck
    B) haland diaz foden raul to palmer salah isak
    C) lewis foden to burgess/4.1 def. palmer & roll 3rd ft, gw13 diaz raul to gordon welbeck/jpedro
