Morning. 3ft and 2.4itb. Will not FH in 29

    Pickford
    TAA Robinson Hall
    Salah Palmer Mbeumo Kluivert Rogers
    Isak Pedro

    Fabianski; Wood, Mykolenko, Greaves

How does Hall + Rogers -> Ait-Nouri + Bowen sound? Would bank 1ft

Wouldn't sell Hall if you're losing a lot of value as you might want him back. He could have back to back doubles in 32 and 33.

Morning all, what to do with Gakpo? Cunha an easy switch, and I don’t want to lose money if Gakpo drops again, but surely plays against leaky Toon?

Keep vs Newcastle and assess possible minutes for Southampton. His home form is great and those two defences aren’t watertight by any means.

I’ll be looking to move him on to Cunha too after those I think.

    Gabriel, Wan-Bissaka, Robinson

Most managers probably have bigger fires to put, so thats why he is still in the team. I reckon majority gets rid of him at WC 30/31

    2. Bobby Crush
      • 11 Years

I know. I got him, but you could say the same about Trent or Gvardiol too,

Do we move away from the expensive defenders totally then, and dabble in the big pool of them?

      1. Count of Monte Hristo
        • 13 Years
        1 year, 3 months ago

I own Trent, Muñoz, Hall, Robinson and Gabriel so I think a balance between premium and mid priced is the way to do it. Just Gabriel in particular is frustrating to own. Their clean sheet output isn’t what we expected and I think teams are figuring them out more at set pieces since Arsenal put so much focus on that this season. Add to that no delivery from Saka which they definitely miss.

Marmoush (Spurs) or Wood (Arsenal) for next GW? Neither of the defences they're facing are great but apart from that hat trick Marmoush hasn't scored at all and City are still struggling to say the least. I am chasing, and Marmoush could be a good differential but I think Wood is very likely to score one, and everyone has him...

Yeah, I have Gakpo and Isak as the other two. I do agree that after Spurs Wood is the better pick.I guess the main question really is just how poor are Spurs going to be defensively.

Over the season, yes, and I may have been a bit harsh with the wording. As an owner of two Arsenal defenders I'm probably a bit too aware of the fact that they've had two clean sheets in the last eight games. My point stands, though. I think it is quite likely that Wood will score. I think it's also quite likely that he will score no more than one goal.

44 points from my AssMan chip (Moyes-Emery-Emery). Not too bad and I'm happy with that? How did others get on? 40pts would have been the best if you'd stuck with the same manager over the last 3 weeks (Pereira). 63pts would have been the best if you'd managed to pick the best manager each week (Moyes-Hurzeler-Glasner).

Front line of Wissa, Isak and Gakpo. Worth selling one for Cunha? Obvious candidate would be Wissa, but he has two home games in his next two and does well at home. I have dropped from around 100k to 450k in the last few GWs so need to make the ground back up. Gakpo is going in GW29 for the blank (and also has two home games next and also has a better record at home than away).

Why would you sell Wissa ahead of Gakpo if you plan on selling him in the blank? Makes no sense to me.

2 of Cunha, Wood and Haaland/Marmoush will be a popular dilemma for non FH29 teams assuming keeping Isak on the bench.

Currently leaning towards going against Wood high EO

It's a dilemma for me now I've got Isak, Wood, and am trying to decide if I should do Wissa to Cunha this GW, or leave that spot open for Haaland. For me from GW29 onwards (probably won't need to WC30/31) it will comes down to

      A) Haaland, Mitoma, Aina
      B) Cunha, Palmer, TAA

I could also get Haaland & Cunha for GW29, but that would mean losing Wood for a hit.

Captaincy in 29 and 30 is an important factor to consider.

31: Howe (save FT and likely know doubles/blanks) or target table bonus e.g. Moyes v ARS (H)
      32: Howe double
33: Howe double (assuming Newcastle progress to FAC SF and fixture moves from 34 to 33)

Looking at current table positions and upcoming fixtures, it's likely that Pal / Bri won't qualify for TB in 31, but 32/33 should be ok.
