Should I take a -4 hit for a defender? Or rather go with 10 players instead?

    Thinking of these transfers below but only gives me 10 players;
    - TAA/Hall > AitNouri
    - Rogers > MGW
    - Cunha > Evanilson/Beto

    Pickford Fabianski
    Gabriel Kerkez Munoz TAA Hall
    Kluivert Mbeumo Palmer Salah Rogers
    Wood Cunha Isak

Odds very much against a defender making up the 4pts expended for a hit. Top c/s odds this week is Arsenal on 38% I think. Better playing with 10

If you have more than 1GW horizon then yes it's worth the hit to remove an injured defender for starting defender in your team

Agree with both this. If you are bringing in a defender for this and next week then yes. In isolation for this week no. So I think go as you are as you have a good defence next week with 4 to chose from once you have done your transfers.

Hall yes, he is out anyway. same with Cunha (to Evanilson)

I wouldn't bother with Rogers (YET) if he plays GW32 against Southampton, he may be a good keep

      I would

    Which one boiz?

    A) TAA, Rogers > Gvardiol/Ait-Nouri, MGW -4
    B) Gakpo, Rogers > Evanilson, MGW -4
    C) TAA, Gakpo, Rogers > Gvardiol/AIT, Evanilson, MGW -8

Gakpo probably starts GW30, If Trent injury is serious then A. If you dont like Liverpool rotation then B

    My Plan
    By Deulofail

    Pickford (Fabianski)
    Timber Kerkez Williams (Trent Keane)
    Palmer Mbuemo Dango (Salah Rogers)
    Evanilson Raul (Isak)

    2FT. 5.7 ITB

    GW29: Cunha > Evanilson (already done); Raul + Rogers > Wood + Munetsi/Bellegarde
    GW30: Dango > Sarr; Keane > Munoz (-4)*
    GW31: Mbeumo > Gordon
    GW32: Timber/Kerkez/Williams > Livramento**; Wood/Evanilson > Mateta**
    GW33: FH
GW34: Save FT? Players at risk of blanking: Timber & Sarr (43%), Kerkez & Evanilson (34%), Williams & Wood (25%). I would have sold 2 of these already if blanking.
    GW35: WC
    GW36: BB
    GW37: 2-3 FTs

    * Optional: Make transfer if Munoz isn't going to blank in GW34 (can postpone until fixtures confirmed)
** Optional: Make transfer if current player blanks in GW34 and incoming player doesn't (0-2 transfers this week; 2 would mean a hit)

The worst part about this plan, as far as I can see, is that I have to resist making a nicer team for GW29.

That said, I'm considering making it worse by keeping Rogers instead of moving for Munetsi. Then selling Rogers for Gordon in GW31 instead of Mbuemo. That saves 1 transfer, but loses 1 fixture (in GW29). Depends on whether Munetsi (or Bellegarde) is worth the risk. Wolves have great fixtures in the weeks I need them.

Raul could be great against a tired Spurs team concentrating on European football, (bt could be rotated but i doubt it, But i get it if WC35, but you could Save FT to get Mateta in GW30 (if he is fit enough to play 3 times in a week) and move Rogers to someone else?

      1. Deulofail

Thanks for your thoughtful reply, Crunchie. Yes, I've thought about keeping Raul for now, and selling for Mateta later. With this chip strategy, the options are:

        A) Raul > Wood = 1FT. Extra 0-1 fixtures
        B) Raul > Wood; Wood/Evanilson > Mateta = 2FT. Extra 1-2 fixtures
        C) Raul > Mateta = 1FT = Extra 1-2 fixtures

Obviously C looks best as you suggest, but it also means keeping Raul for TOT, ars, LIV, during a time his minutes are questionable, vs Wood for ips, MUN, avl. I think Wood is likely to outscore Raul by 4+ points in those fixtures. Then there's the possibility of keeping Wood for GW34, in which he has a better fixture than Mateta (BRE vs ars), who I only want if he DOES have a fixture that week.

Option A also gives the flexibility to switch to B, while I think being about the same (or better?) for points anyway. C doesn't allow me to sell Evanilson for Mateta, so it might end up being 2FTs instead of 1. Alotta waffle, but it's hard to put this stuff in text form lol.

Why move Rogers to someone else? And who? Looking for someone with guaranteed fixture in GW29 and 34.

          You're welcome

I was thinking if you don't move to Wood you could upgrade Rogers to a better midfielder

Depends on your Rank. Wood is a shield (highly owned), and Raul and then Mateta is a sword (everyone is selling him over Isak due to holding value)

I am the same dilemma (see below) on whether to WC or FH this week.

    B) Take 4 pt hit to play Gibbs White

      B for 2 GWs

With 29-30 in mind, I would sell Dango.

One thing to note, Kerkez is suspended for the FAC and Dango may start LB over Soler. Due to short turnaround between FAC and GW30, Dango may not start in 30

      1. Saka White Rice
        • 11 Years

You could argue though that the short turnaround means it's more likely he'll start gw30 because Tavernier or Evanilson could be benched

        1. Tonyawesome69
          • 6 Years

There's Brooks and Sinisterra that can start on the wings. Evanilson has missed nearly 2 months with a metatarsal injury (not muscle related) so could argue he's has been rested over that period and can start in both games.

The uncertainty makes it an easier transfer out imo

    Best option from below?

Currently have 10 players for GW29 with 2FT. I plan to play WC in GW30 or GW31.

    A) Gakpo > Evanilson. Roll 1 FT.

    B) Palmer & Gakpo > Bruno & Evanilson

    C) Hall & Gakpo > Milenkovic / Gvardiol & Evanilson

    D) Hall, Palmer & Gakpo > Lacroix / Huijsen, 4.3 MID & Haaland (-4)

    Raya
    Gabriel - Myolenko - Robinson - Williams
    Mbuemo - Palmer - Bowen - Kluivert

    1. Tonyawesome69
      • 6 Years
      8 months, 26 days ago

AM chip is across 3GWs and you cannot have any other chip active.

Probably the chip with the highest ceiling so target DGWs or fixtures with tables bonus.

      https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2025/01/24/fpl-mystery-chip-revealed-what-is-it-when-can-it-be-played/

    2. bitm2007

Probably best to play the chips in the order you've listed them.

      WC GW30 or 31
      BB GW32 or GW33
      FH GW33, or GW34
AM 36-38 which is likely to include DGW36

The problem with AM is it lasts 3 GW and no other chip can be used at the same time. So if you use it in say DGW32 you wouldn't be able to use other chips in GWs 33 and 34 either which are likely to be a double and a blank.

My 2 FT to put out 11 boils down to me plying Greaves as a 4th defender, keeping Trent, Salah and Isak and selling Cunha and Enzo.

So it would either be Strand Larsen and Kluivert or Jao Pedro and Semenyo.

And despite the fixture, I’m not sold on Strand Larsen!

A Williams ( already have Sels)
    B Hujeson
    C Semedo

    Should I play...
    Dango (Brentford-H)
    or
    Lewis (Brighton-H)?

    Cheers!

A: Play two of Colwill, Bednarek & Dango
B: Play one of Colwill / Bednarek & Dango to CHO (-4).

Similar dilemma and currently on A2.

Prefer Bournemouth attack and like to target Man City v Leicester in 30

A 1/2 is tougher. 2 maybe if he starts Leicester.

WC31 and have 10 players this week (2Fts)- which is best?

    A. Cunha & Palmer > Haaland & Elanga (bench Greaves)

    B. Isak, Cunha & Trent > Haaland Evanilson & Kerkez/Ait nori (-4) (Bench Greaves & Nwaneri)

A Nwaneri start this GW IMO. Has there been an update on Trent yet (been out of the loop)

Which DEF, MID and FWD do you think has the highest upside in Week 29?

I'll throw out Gvardiol, Bruno, Haaland.

RAN must have highest likelihood of double returns. Agree on Bruno. Haaland is a hopeful one considering he will be the main FH vs non-FH gamebreaker.

    Raya, Fab
    TAA, Hall, Munoz, Huijsen Myko
    Salah Palmer, Kluivert, Mbuemo, Sarr
    Darwin Isak, Mateta

1FT AM to play FH BB and WC.

FH this week or WC? Could play FH33/34 if WC now

Looking at Glasner if he has Bonus still, WC31,32, possibly 33, or change then and BB 36 (or best week)

or WC30, 34/35 and play AM then (BB 32/33)

    Still unsure.
