The Gameweek 25 team news continues to filter through, with 11 Premier League managers facing the media on Friday.

You can find all the key injury updates in this article, which will be refreshed throughout the day.

If you missed the earlier-than-usual pressers of Daniel Farke and Sean Dyche on Wednesday, you can read the key team news here.

And for Thursday’s seven press conferences, check out this article.

KEY GAMEWEEK 25 INJURY NEWS FROM FRIDAY

FRIDAY’S PRESS CONFERENCE TIMES

ARSENAL

Despite Jurrien Timber‘s absence from training on Thursday, Mikel Arteta confirmed the Dutch defender is fit for the visit of Sunderland.

“Jurrien is fine.” – Mikel Arteta

Arteta offered vaguer updates on Bukayo Saka (hip) and Martin Odegaard (muscle).

“His hip is getting much better. So, hopefully, very soon, he will be with us.” – Mikel Arteta on Bukayo Saka

“Martin, again, is getting better. It will be a matter of days, we believe.” – Mikel Arteta on Martin Odegaaard

Mikel Merino (foot) and Max Dowman (ankle) remain on the sidelines.

The Gunners have no fresh concerns.

“No [new injury worries], the rest are all good.” – Mikel Arteta

MANCHESTER CITY

Pep Guardiola is not sure whether Bernardo Silva (hamstring) will be fit for the Liverpool game. The midfielder came off in Gameweek 24 and missed the midweek EFL Cup win over Newcastle United.

“Don’t know yet. Tomorrow, training.” – Pep Guardiola on whether Bernardo Silva will be back

Ruben Dias (hamstring) returned to the City squad on Wednesday night as an unused substitute.

“He’s back, we’ll see if he plays minutes. But good news for us.” – Pep Guardiola on Ruben Dias

John Stones (thigh) is inching his way closer to a comeback, too.

“John make yesterday his first training session with the team. He’s, step-by-step, coming back.” – Pep Guardiola on John Stones

Jeremy Doku (calf), Josko Gvardiol (leg), Mateo Kovacic (ankle) and Savinho (thigh) are all still sidelined.

Guardiola was asked if there was a chance Erling Haaland could be benched at Anfield, with Omar Marmoush bagging a brace in midweek.

“Erling is the best striker in the world.

“I don’t know [if he plays], we’ll see tomorrow. Always, I said, Erling is the best.” – Pep Guardiola

NEWCASTLE UNITED

Bruno Guimaraes (ankle) trained on Wednesday, with Eddie Howe hopeful that his midfielder will be fit to face Brentford.

“Getting closer. He did a training session, I believe, on Wednesday when we were travelling. Felt pretty good, so I will see him today and, yeah, fingers crossed, he’ll be fit.” – Eddie Howe on Bruno Guimaraes

There’s less optimism about Anthony Gordon‘s (hamstring) chances of featuring this weekend, however.

“No major update on Anthony. I think, probably, every chance he will miss this game coming up at the weekend. We hope it’s not a serious injury and he will be back pretty soon.” – Eddie Howe on Anthony Gordon

As for Lewis Miley (knee), he faces further assessment.

“I’ll find out today. I am awaiting an update on him. Again, not a serious injury and I hope he will be back pretty soon.” – Eddie Howe on Lewis Miley

Fabian Schar (ankle), Emil Krafth (knee), Joelinton (groin) and Tino Livramento (hamstring) are all still sidelined.

ASTON VILLA

Amadou Onana (muscle) and Ollie Watkins (hamstring) look set to be back in the squad against Bournemouth.

“Yes, normally yes.

“He rested last week because he had a small injury and he was not ready to play, but this week progressively he was joining us, training normally, and today he trained normally.” – Unai Emery on whether Ollie Watkins is going to be available in Gameweek 25

New boy Alysson returned to training this week but Villa will not take risks with him and he looks set to miss out again.

Boubacar Kamara (knee), John McGinn (knee), Andres Garcia (hamstring) and Youri Tielemans (ankle) are still unavailable.

CRYSTAL PALACE

We are not going to see Jean-Philippe Mateta this weekend, despite the striker’s deadline-day move to AC Milan falling through.

“We will do now further assessments. He will see one more doctor on Monday and then we will all see together and take a final decision. There are two ways how we can do it: either manage it [till after the World Cup], like we did… or he undergoes surgery.” – Oliver Glasner on Jean-Philippe Mateta

Cheick Doucoure (knee) and Eddie Nketiah (hamstring) are still out.

Daichi Kamada (hamstring) and Borna Sosa (muscle) are back fit, while Justin Devenny (ankle) will return either this weekend or, more likely, next Wednesday.

Adam Wharton is also back from a one-match ban.

BRENTFORD

Kevin Schade begins a three-match ban following his dismissal for violent conduct last weekend.

Josh Dasilva, Fábio Carvalho and Antoni Milambo all remain out with knee injuries.

Reiss Nelson (knock) and Kaye Furo, who the Bees were handling carefully after his move, are back available, however.

“We’re pretty much as we were. Two that will come back into the equation will be Kaye [Furo] and Reiss Nelson.” – Keith Andrews

Keith Andrews meanwhile explained why Nathan Collins dropped to the bench last weekend.

“He took a knock a couple of days before [the game], in training. He needed some stitches. It was right at the end of a training session, which was really unfortunate. I felt it affected him where the stitches were, in his lip. Seeing how he was the day before the game, I ultimately made the decision, and I felt it was the right decision, not to start him.

“He wasn’t fully right but equally he came into a battle and I think it shows the character that he has. That’s why he’s my captain, really. He’s an amazing individual who leads by example on a daily basis.

“He’s fine, he’s trained well all week.” – Keith Andrews on Nathan Collins

EVERTON

Vitaliy Mykolenko is fit again after missing out in Gameweek 24 with a minor issue.

“He’s back training, so he’s back and in the squad. He’s fit and available.” – David Moyes on Vitaliy Mykolenko

Other than Jack Grealish (foot), Everton have no injury concerns.

“Everybody else is all good.” – David Moyes

BOURNEMOUTH

Andoni Iraola says that the Cherries will make a late call on the fitness of David Brooks (ankle) ahead of the game against Aston Villa.

No other injured players are expected to return to the matchday squad.

Marcus Tavernier (hamstring), Justin Kluivert (knee), Julio Soler (hamstring), Tyler Adams (knee) and Ben Gannon-Doak (hamstring) will remain unavailable, then.

FULHAM

Sasa Lukic (hamstring) remains out but Fulham otherwise have a fully fit squad, with Rodrigo Muniz (hamstring) now back available.

“Just Sasa Lukic is going to be not in contention, he is going to be out. Too soon, not even training with the team yet. He is going to be some weeks. All the other players, they are going to be available for the game.” – Marco Silva

Kenny Tete was an unused substitute on his return to the matchday squad last weekend and is now “in contention” to feature.

“He is going to be in contention, he is going to be for sure in the squad list, like he was last game. It’s up to me to decide what is going to be the XI.” – Marco Silva on Kenny Tete

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS

Toti Gomes (hamstring) remains out but Ladislav Krejci (illness) has returned to training this week.

“[Krejci] has trained this week, so he is back and available. JJ [Bellegarde, recently back from injury] is another week down the line in training. Toti is still not in training with the team yet so he is still unavailable. Other than that, we’re in decent shape.” – Rob Edwards

New signings Angel Gomes and Adam Armstrong are available for selection.

“The supporters will see both of them at some stage tomorrow.” – Rob Edwards on Angel Gomes and Adam Armstrong

Rob Edwards confirmed that Jhon Arias and Emmanuel Agbadou are both set to follow Jorgen Strand Larsen through the exit door.

BURNLEY

Scott Parker reported no fresh concerns for the visit of West Ham United but loanee James WardProwse can’t face his parent club.

“No real, fresh injuries, really. The longer-term boys are still the longer-term boys. So, we’re pretty fit, really. Obviously, James can’t play this weekend.” – Scott Parker

Mike Tresor (ankle), Josh Cullen (knee), Jordan Beyer (hamstring), Connor Roberts (Achilles) and Zeki Amdouni (knee) are the aforementioned “longer-term boys”.

    Verbruggen
    Gabriel, Timber, Andersen
Saka*, Bruno F, Rogers, Wilson, Garner
    Haaland, Etitike

    Dubravka, Hill, Guiu, Nallo

    2 FT 0.5 ITB

“His hip is getting much better. So, hopefully, very soon, he will be with us.”

What does that mean!? As a Saka owner, i'm now a little torn. He'd be a great differential for DGW26 if back....What do people think chances are?

Issue i have = If i don't sell Saka this week, i'll have to play Gudmundsson - which i don't really want to do. So

    a) Roll FT. Play Gudmunsson. Wait to see on Saka / Timber etc for DGW26

    b) Move Saka to Semenyo this week. Leaving enough cash for dbl Ars defence for DGW26

Same here. Roll FT and start Mane, or switch to Madueke...?

I'm tempted to wait, and have 3 FT's for Tuesday. My other line of thought is just to have a bit of fun with that Saka slot. Semenyo, Mbuemo, whoever just switch to a prime fixture each week.

      1. Ze_Austin

We've been here before with Arteta. "Matter of days", "back soon" etc.

Back soon from Arteta could mean a few weeks. Don't excited with this quote and think he has a chance for the DGW. Not saying he won't but going by Arteta's history I would guess that we won't see Saka back for the first game of the DGW.

Will timber play 3 games in such quick succession?

Thinking timber in for a -4 but quick fixture turnaround has me wary

Also feel Gabriel might be rested one game out of the 3, that’s been happening in the champions league when they play midweek

Really like O’Reilly and Saka to Timber and Mbeumo but then I have no easy route to Thiago later on
Perhaps is Saka to Rice and O’Reilly to Andersen the better option long term? I can do Guiu to Thiago with 1FT next week.
