It’s a short turnaround to Double Gameweek 26 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) – and the pre-match press conferences are already underway.

There are 10 managers scheduled to face the media on Monday.

You can find all the major team news from each club in this article, which will be refreshed throughout the day.

We should hear from at least eight more Premier League managers on Tuesday. Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta and Brentford’s Keith Andrews may not host their pressers till after the FPL deadline, however.

KEY GAMEWEEK 26 TEAM NEWS FROM MONDAY

MONDAY’S PRESS CONFERENCE TIMES

CHELSEA

Reece James has recovered from the knock that saw him miss out at the weekend but is now ill. Liam Rosenior is still hopeful of his involvement in midweek.

“Reece is fit. The issue, the small issue, is that he is feeling unwell today. It’s no conspiracy, it’s the truth. Hopefully, he’ll be feeling well enough to be involved in tomorrow’s game.” – Liam Rosenior

Tosin Adarabioyo (hamstring) and Romeo Lavia (quad) are both back in training.

“Tosin is looking good, Tosin trained today, as well, it’s great to have him in and around the group.

“Romeo, we have a really detailed plan for him. He was back on the training pitch with us the last two days; it has been great to see him. He’s such a great player, we all know that, but what we have to do is make sure that when he’s back, he’s back for good. We are just making sure that he gets the right plan over the next 10 days to two weeks to achieve that.” – Liam Rosenior

Cole Palmer is available, meanwhile, after his hour-long hat-trick heroics on Saturday. So too is Andrey Santos, who took a knock to the ankle at Molineux.

“He is available for tomorrow.” – Liam Rosenior, when asked if Cole Palmer is ready to start and/or last 90 minutes

“Andrey trained today, he’s absolutely fine. He’s a soldier. He had a swollen ankle, it wasn’t a great tackle on him and he couldn’t continue but he’s absolutely fine for tomorrow.” – Liam Rosenior

Jamie Gittens (hamstring), Dario Essugo (unknown), Levi Colwill (knee) and Mykhailo Mudryk (suspended) remain on the sidelines.

MANCHESTER UNITED

Patrick Dorgu (hamstring) and Matthijs de Ligt (back) remain sidelined, while Michael Carrick suggested on Monday that Mason Mount (unspecified) will also miss out again.

There was no mention of Bryan Mbeumo, who was spotted hobbling out of Old Trafford on Sunday.

“Mason will be probably not for Tuesday, probably after, but definitely going into the Everton game, he’ll be back.

“Matta, we’ll see how he develops over the [coming weeks]… the Everton game feels like a long time away at the moment, so we’ll see how he develops, but he’s positive, he’s moving in the right direction, but Mason’s a little bit closer than him.” – Michael Carrick

NEWCASTLE UNITED

Eddie Howe will check on Anthony Gordon (hamstring) and Lewis Miley (knee) ahead of the trip to north London.

“Miley, I need to see today – we’ll get another update on his progress. He got a nasty bang to his leg so it’s sort of a dead leg that’s dragged on a little bit longer than we thought, so we’ll see how he is.

“Gordon, we’ll make a check on today and see how he’s progressing. Hopefully, a big improvement in him.” – Eddie Howe

Fabian Schar (ankle), Emil Krafth (knee), Joelinton (groin) and Tino Livramento (hamstring) remain out.

Howe, who repeated his belief that he was the “right person for the job” amid the current slump in form, was asked about how he goes about finding a solution up front amid the decidedly mixed displays from Yoane Wissa and Nick Woltemade.

“Yeah, I think it’s a valid question. That’s part of obviously the preparation when you were reviewing a game, which I did late Saturday night and most of yesterday. You’re looking at the structure of the team, the most important ends of the pitch: how you defend your goal and how you attack the opposition goal – and we need to find the best solution for the next game. And that may well be something that keeps evolving until we find the solution that we like. We’ve got new players that we’re trying to bed in to the team format. I’ve got to be honest, it’s not quite functioned fully yet with the players that you’ve just mentioned.” – Eddie Howe

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

Cristian Romero begins a four-match suspension following his red card for serious foul play on Saturday.

There’s further woe at the back as Destiny Udogie (hamstring) has joined the injury list for the next month or so.

“Unfortunately, Destiny has a hamstring injury. He’s out for the next four to five weeks.” – Thomas Frank on Destiny Udogie

Kevin Danso (toe), Lucas Bergvall (ankle), Pedro Porro (hamstring), Ben Davies (ankle), Richarlison (hamstring), Rodrigo Bentancur (hamstring), Mohammed Kudus (thigh), James Maddison (knee) and Dejan Kulusevski (knee) remain out, too.

“Kevin, he met the consultant. It’s going forward. It’s still weeks before he’s available.

“Deki [Kulusevski] has got another appointment at the end of this week where we’ll know more, but of course, [being] out of the Champions League squad, it’s a sign of that it’s not tomorrow.” – Thomas Frank

Djed Spence (calf) is back, at least, and there are no fresh concerns beyond Udogie.

“We lose two players for tomorrow but Djed Spence is back. And I think [Radu] Dragusin looked good when he came back in. So, I know we’ll put a very competitive team out tomorrow, as well. And then there should be, hopefully, a little bit more after that coming back for the team.” – Thomas Frank

“The squad that was available from Saturday is available.” – Thomas Frank

BOURNEMOUTH

The Cherries have no fresh injury concerns for the trip to Everton, although fatigue could be a factor.

“Let’s see if we can train with everyone today and everyone ready to go again. We don’t have any, like, injury concerns, but it’s true that a lot of players finish with cramps, finish with some small things that I hope are small, and they are ready again to go tomorrow.

“I think in this short turnaround, it’s true that for me it’s key to analyse today who can go again. I don’t think we will repeat the same starting XI. Probably there is, I don’t know, but probably there is going to be some change because we did a massive effort the other day against Villa.” – Andoni Iraola

David Brooks (ankle) returned as a substitute in Gameweek 25, and it sounds like he may be facing bench duty once again.

“Brooksy, it’s good that he played a little bit the other day. I think he’s still probably not 100%, but it’s good that he can give us some help.” – Andoni Iraola

Marcus Tavernier (hamstring) and Tyler Adams (knee) are getting closer to comebacks but this match definitely comes too soon for the former and possibly also for the latter.

“Tyler is… let’s see, he will train today. Maybe it’s [too] early for tomorrow, but I think he’s getting closer.

“Tav is still not there. Tav has been still training on his own and he is the next one after Tyler, let’s say. But I think it’s going to be for even the next one against West Ham, maybe too early.” – Andoni Iraola

Justin Kluivert (knee), Julio Soler (hamstring) and Ben Gannon-Doak (hamstring) remain out.

There was praise for one of FPL’s cheapest starting defenders, James Hill, who has made the line-up in the Cherries’ last seven Premier League games.

“I think James Hill is the dream scenario for a coach, to have a player like him. I told him when he was not playing, I would renew you for 10 seasons – and you are not playing! If it was up to me, I would renew you forever because it gives quality to the squads.

“Because they don’t play and they train top level. They come every Monday, the +1, that is a difficult day for training, and they train at their best. And I’m very happy that now he’s getting the rewards.” – Andoni Iroala

EVERTON

David Moyes confirmed that everyone bar Jack Grealish (foot) is available for the Bournemouth game.

The Toffees are, however, monitoring the workloads of players who have recently come back from injury. Jarrad Branthwaite, for instance, dropped to the bench in Gameweek 25.

“I think apart from Jack Grealish, I think everybody is fit. We’re still sort of nursing one or two – obviously, [with] Jarrad Branthwaite, we’re trying to just gauge the minutes he can play at the moment, coming back from injury… Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, as well, Charly Alcaraz.

“We’ve had a bundle of players who’ve been out injured, but they’re all back training, they’re all fit. You’ve seen that with them playing some games or being on the bench. We’ve got everybody fit.” – David Moyes

WEST HAM UNITED

Nuno Espirito has revealed that West Ham will be missing some players through injury on Tuesday – but wouldn’t say who.

“Yeah [we have some new injury concerns], unfortunately. Yeah.

“We’re going to have some players out, unfortunately. Knocks and… it is what it is. I’m not going to tell you who, I’m sorry.” – Nuno Espirito Santo

Jean-Clair Todibo remains suspended.

Meanwhile, Nuno discussed his decision to recall Mads Hermansen at the expense of Alphonse Areola.

“The goalkeeper situation is a special one inside of the group. We decide to put Mads [in]. I think he did a good job. They are helping each other, everybody’s working and it’s up to us to make decisions, looking always for the best of the team, trying to achieve better things, different things. But we are happy. We are happy with the performance of Mads.” – Alphonse Areola

NOTTINGHAM FOREST

Matz Sels (groin) looks set to miss out again, along with Nicolo Savona (knee), Chris Wood (knee) and John Victor (knee).

“Matz Sels is settling down but… it is not going to be days. We’re not sure on the extent of how long, but it is certainly not going to be days. We are just hopeful it settles sooner rather than later but he is feeling pretty good at the moment.” – Sean Dyche on Matz Sels

As for Murillo (calf), a surprise absentee last Friday, he remains “touch and go”.

“It’s settling. We will probably know more tomorrow to make a final decision on that one. So, it is probably a touch-and-go one at this stage, but it is settling and he was happy with that this morning.” – Sean Dyche on Murillo

Neco Williams is back from a one-match ban.

FULHAM

Sasa Lukic (hamstring) and Tom Cairney (calf) remain out but Fulham are otherwise injury-free.

“TC is going to be out, still out, and Sasa Lukic. All the others, they are okay.” – Marco Silva

LEEDS UNITED

Pascal Struijk (hip) has joined Anton Stach (hip) on the Leeds injury list.

“Bad news with Pascal Struijk, he will definitely miss this game. He’s got some problems after the game with his hip flexor and the turnaround is a bit too quick, so he will definitely miss this game.

“Anton Stach will also be back probably just for the [Aston] Villa game.

“So, they both will definitely miss this game. Apart from this, I hope to have everyone available.” – Daniel Farke

Ilia Gruev and Dominic Calvert-Lewin should be fine. Gruev suffered a facial injury last Friday, while Calvert-Lewin played through illness.

“At the moment, both seem to be available.

“Dominic was struggling a little bit with illness but I hope it’s not too bad and I hope he is available.

“In terms of knocks or muscle injuries, there is nothing. Ilia is tough.” – Daniel Farke on Ilia Gruev and Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Daniel James, Jaka Bijol and Lukas Nmecha came back from injuries in Gameweek 25, although the latter remained unused substitutes.

“Lukas just had two sessions with us before the game, the day before and the morning session of the game day. He looked sharp, I have to say, but due to the fact we were in the lead, I didn’t want to take too much risk with him.

“Jaka, he was out for nearly three weeks and had just three training days for us. The natural thing, you don’t change too much on the centre-back position.” – Daniel Farke

Continue to be an underrated home defence, I can see them keeping Pool out tbh.

I was weighing that up too but I think Ekitke has West Ham then Wolves in 28 and 29, at which point I would want him back. In my case I have Enzo, though, so I may hold off. Tricky one as that Burnley fixture looks delicious.

I am never sure what to make of that sort of stat really. They are two vulnerable sides and he's a good player, is it any deeper than that?

The point is that he's played vulnerable sides this season, more than just those two (Leeds, Wolves, Sunderland and Burnley all at Anfield, for example) and blanked in the lot.

In the three of the games you listed in which he started he put up 3.2 Xgi … that suggests he performs well in those games. Game to game return are very variable for most players.

I really don't know how to exploit my team the best way....

Short term strategy I would love to play bench boost....but bench boost on terms of maximizing points its much more worth to use on a double gameweek. (when looking at probabilities). So i must keep my nerves and save it.
Triple captain on gyokers (even considering only 120 min of play time) might be a one time only opportunity for a 3x suitable differential, however two away games is though.

        Dubravka (Cry A)
Chalobah (lee H) Badiashille (Lee H) Gabriel (DGW) Munoz (Bur H)
Bruno (Whu A) Saka (DGW) Enzo (lee H)
        Gyo (DGW) Halland (Ful A)

        Bench: Pickford (BOU H) / Tarkowski (BOU H) /Garner (BOU H) / Summerville (MUN H)

Prediction 1): Fofana does not play 3 games on a 7 day period so Badiashille will start
Prediction 2): Bournemoth is finding its form and will get goals past everton

RAGE THOUGHTS: Play bench boost because all option might point well (green arrow for sure)

        Most likely: No hit
        Might do: TC on Gyokeres

        Alright TC Gabriel... Let's discuss.

I personally I'm leaning 20% in favor of doing it. So I'm more likely not to. Here's why.

        1. Brentford attack is one of the best in the league. For the season they are in the top 5 especially at home. I don't think 2 clean sheets are a banker at all. In fact, the chances of Arsenal keeping a clean sheet in both is around the 20-30% mark.

        2. Haaland could have a DGW with Burnley in it. If they make it to the FA Cup semis, they will blank 34 and that fixture is away at Burnley. Any Haaland DGW with Burnley in it for me is gonna be a better use of the chip than this week and I'm optimistic that it plays out.

        3. I don't intend to BB in DGW33. We have seen it time and time again, a BB in a DGW that doesn't deliver. 15 players is out of the question, even 12 especially this year with fewer teams being affected. What happens a lot is we have a full XI of doublers and then we are stuck with some SGW players that would normally be starters. I'm willing to BB probably in GW27 with my current squad composition.

Here are the reasons FOR it:

        1. Arsenal's schedule is kind so the minutes are secure. Nice fixtures with time between matches, good rest opportunity vs Wigan in the Cup means that Gabriel looks totally nailed and Arsenal in general will field their best XI for both games.

        2. Gabriel and Arsenal defense are in great form.

        3. If you want to BB in 33, you might not get another DGW to TC in which makes this the best opportunity if you want to TC a double (which you should do).

For my particular situation, I'm probably not gonna do it but I don't think it's clear which decision is better. Do it if you feel like it and especially if you plan to build a big BB in 33.

Yeah Brentford won't be an easy game at all. If City have narrowed the game to 3 points, too, there'll be some nerves.

If agree with the reasons not to do it.

It's just the reason 3 to do it that worries me. Kinda agree that blowing the BB pre-2nd WC might make more sense for the run in leaving TC33 or another opportune moment and a leaner post-WC squad

          It's roughly 19.5 % for 2 CS (37% for Brentford and 53% for Wolves).
Hincapie played LCB in the reverse fixture against Brentford and got Defcons.
Brentford have conceded 2 goals from corners so far, best in the league at defending set pieces.
Taking all that into account, I'd say 10 points should be a reasonably safe bet. 1x CS, 1x DC plus appearance points. Anything else is a bonus. It's very unlikely you'll get a doubler with a higher floor, but could get one with a much higher ceiling. Should be a good choice for anyone who is satisfied with his OR and wants to keep it simple. Those who are on WC32, BB33 have an extra reason to play it now, those with an alternative chip strategy can afford to wait.

I’m leaning no as well but a lot of that is personal bias. I’m a player that prefers to hold chips and chase down leads more than the reverse. I think the decision is very balanced.

FWIW on GW33, far too early to tell but currently the most likely outcome is 8 teams will blank / double. There’s already only 4 GW34 fixtures where both teams are still in the cup and with Villa vs Newcastle that has to be maximum 3 after this next round. If Liverpool beat Brighton it would go down to 2. So very likely we get the maximum number of blanks possible this year.

I've held Ekitike longer than I should - keen to get into a 3-5-2 with Haaland and Thiago up top and use the funds to reinforce midfield and defence.

2FT to do Ekitike & Dorgu to Mane & Munoz.

Mane then starts for the double this week. There is enough cash spare for my midfield fodder to become Rogers/Wirtz (or similar mid-range popular midfielder) and play 3-5-2 in GW27 (Mane benched).

        Yay or nay?

I don't know, I think Ekitike's a really good player, in a couple of weeks West Ham & Wolves in a row looks great. What's the point of going from him to Wirtz?

It wouldn't necessarily be Wirtz. Probably wouldn't to be honest.

Good player is all well and good. But he has two goals since he last played Wolves and has blanked in a lot of easy fixtures this season.

You could also flip that and say he had a run of five in three, why can't he do it again? I am not really sure what to think about Ekitike.

Maybe I'm jaded - I missed that run of three because I held off until the week they played Wolves. One assist to show from that and nothing until the brace Vs Newcastle. It's inconsistent for a £9m striker

Rice better than Zubimendi, you could take a hit there. Alternatively, get Timber in for a hit and bench DCL

              Timber Gabriel (TC) Tarkowski

              Haaland DCL

              Dubravka Andersen Alderete A.Barnes

DCL to Thiago is a lock for me in GW27

I’m looking at three players to buy in the near future. Munoz, Sarr, and Wirtz. One of those three will come in this week for one of Alderete, Enzo, Wilson, or Anderson.

If Munoz, I sell Alderete, bench Wilson, do Wirtz for Enzo in 28 probably.

If it’s a midfield transfer, I’m not sure which order to do it.

I used BB already and plan on navigating 31 with free transfers with WC and FH at some point afterwards. I’m mindful of not stocking up too much on BGW31 players, so don’t really want both Sarr and Munoz.

Any thoughts on the best moves?

I have 8 mid/forwards that I need to choose which one to bench every week and last 3/4 GW, I have been benching the wrong player. So I am thinking of making it easier and transferring one permanent bench player.

                Rogers, Enzo, Rice, Semenyo, Bruno
                Haaland, Bowen, Thiago

                4ft and 0.0 in bank

                So which one is better:
                1. Save FT this week and decide on next week about (Mbuemo if he is injured, Wirtz, Ekitike)
                2. Bowen to Mane this week for double and decide on Mbuemo vs Wirtz next week
                3. Bowen to Kroupi this week
                4. Bowen to Kroupi, enzo/Rogers to Mbuemo/Wirtz this week

Just posted this as a reply but thought might be useful in planning. So looking at GW34 fixtures there are currently 4 with both teams left in FA Cup:

                      Arsenal vs Newcastle
                      Brighton vs Chelsea
                      Burnley va Man City
                      Fulham vs Aston Villa

Newcastle play Villa in the cup so that will be max of 3 games left and Liverpool will be favourites at Brighton so feasibly down to 2, with 2 more rounds before the semi finals (can’t see Burnley going that far)

So to me it seems rather likely we get the max (8 teams) blanking in 34 and doubling else where. (I haven’t looked into whether some could go into 34 midweek).

Is it just me or is there a real lack of exciting picks this season? I don't count Haaland as every man and his dog has him.

Looking back through the years there was always a good selection of picks from the top teams and even lower teams but these days I can't really say that.

Palmer has that potential as we've seen but has struggled for fitness. Rest of the picks are inconsistent and it just seems to be pure luck if you have them at the right time before they inevitably go off the boil.

Dorgu was a out to be an exciting pick, but then he got injured. 4.2/3 defender playing as an LW, with back to back goals(think he even got a couple assists before that).

But yeah this season has been boring and very inconsistent.

I think you just need to look at some of the top scorers in midfield these days. Enzo, Rice, Anderson, Garner, Bruno G, Casemiro. All incredibly boring picks but that's where we're at now.

Are you going to WC for GW31 or something?

I wouldn't buy double Wolves to face Arsenal

I'd only need to remove 3 players by GW31

That said, if I didn't use FT this week then I wouldn't bench boost

Should I make these 3 transfers (-4) this week?: [Vebruggen, Dorgu, Cunha] --> [RAYA, MUNOZ, SARR]

-Munoz seems essential next 2 gw as his best points tally this season was against BUR (14pt) & WOL (14pt).
-Raya to Verbruggen should should be able cover the -4pts hit right?
