Joe’s highly popular ‘Goals Imminent’ statistics from the Members Area is the basis for this weekly article.

Heading towards Gameweek 28 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL), we try to identify some more underachieving players who look ‘due’ for a goal and/or assist.

Naturally, we’ll attempt to assess whether they’re unlucky, suffering a rare blip, or just aren’t particularly good.

LAST WEEK’S SUCCESSES

FPL notes: Spurs' centre-halves + Wilson keep up fine goal records

Top of our table was Raul Jimenez (£6.1m) and, sure enough, he scored twice in Fulham’s win at Sunderland. A chunk of the Mexican’s minutes were predictably snatched by Rodrigo Muniz (£5.3m) but, if that hour brings a brace, no problem!

Additionally, as owners of Chelsea’s defensive assets know, Zian Flemming (£5.3m) denied the Blues a clean sheet in stoppage time.

GOALS IMMINENT

I think going back to the OP, that was back in the days when wingers played on their natural side and put balls into the box. Ryan Giggs would have been cutting in off the right if he'd been 10-15 years later. Was this another thing we have Jose to thank with Robben?

I didn't appreciate quite how advanced O'R was playing for Man City.

Is Nico better than VVD over the next few?

I'd become tripled up on Man City and Arsenal but with 4 FTs could move on Rice, Timber and Nico. Or play with 10.

    Benching Haaland, Gabriel and Semenyo.

Also, there's a chance that the Man City game v Palace stays in Gw31.

Nico O'R is also £1m cheaper

I'd have enough transfers, I think it's worth it.

      Chalabah to O'R
      Enzo to Rayan

I think if you're comfortable with the chance that he could end up back at LB which isnt the worst outcome or that he loses a spot entirely then crack on. Look at the players sat on the bench waiting to come back in that role. His shirt to lose currently though and very high upside. Worth noting their fixtures after the blank (if it happens) are not ideal either

          True

          But I'll wildcard by Gw32

Also, Man City have conceded 10 less than Liverpool but the next round likely favours Liverpool for CS.

He's also massively outscored VVD with goals and assists, more than double I think.

    Thiago / Haaland / Guiu

    2FT, 1.5M in the bank.

Almost feel like rolling. Mids and Forwards have decent fixtures.
