We’ll get the Gameweek 31 team news from 12 Premier League managers on Friday as the pre-match press conferences continue.

You can find all the key injury updates in this article, which will be refreshed throughout the day.

For the headline news from Thursday’s three pressers, check out this round-up here.

Manchester United’s Michael Carrick faced the media on Wednesday, with the headline quotes available to read here.

KEY GAMEWEEK 31 TEAM NEWS FROM FRIDAY

FRIDAY’S PRESS CONFERENCE TIMES

LIVERPOOL

Mohamed Salah (muscle) will not be available for Saturday’s trip to Brighton and Hove Albion.

The winger hobbled off midway through Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League victory against Galatasaray and will sit out not just Gameweek 31 but also Egypt’s upcoming internationals.

He could be back thereafter.

“Indeed, [it’s] unusual [for Salah to ask to come off]. As a result of that, I think you can expect the outcome. So, not available for tomorrow.

“The good thing for Liverpool, for us, is that we go to an international break. The bad thing for Egypt is that he can’t go there. We are hoping also with what Mo has shown in the past that he can recover faster than other players might in similar situations because he takes such good care of his body. History has shown that he can be earlier back than some others but it’s only two weeks when we go again, so let’s hope in that period of time he can be back.” – Arne Slot on Mohamed Salah

Arne Slot meanwhile confirmed that Joe Gomez “might be” involved against the Seagulls but won’t be able to start.

The defender was among the substitutes in midweek but wasn’t usable due to “issues”.

“Joe was on the bench but he wasn’t able to come in. We tried to postpone it as far as we could. He already told me before the start of the game that he didn’t feel good. I said, ‘OK, let’s wait to half-time, maybe a miracle can happen and we might need you in extra-time.’

“He might be available tomorrow but definitely not to start.” – Arne Slot on Joe Gomez

Alexander Isak (ankle), Wataru Endo (foot), Stefan Bajcetic (hamstring), Conor Bradley (knee) and Giovanni Leoni (knee) remain out.

NEWCASTLE UNITED

Eddie Howe will assess Sandro Tonali (groin) after the midfielder limped out of Wednesday’s defeat to Barcelona.

“We will wait and see. Hopefully not as bad as maybe we first feared when I saw him limping off the pitch. We will see how he is today and then make a decision closer to the game.” – Eddie Howe on Sandro Tonali

Lewis Miley (dead leg/muscle), Fabian Schar (ankle) and Bruno Guimaraes (hamstring) should be back after the March international break.

“It will be after the internationals for Lewis. We anticipate he will be back, hopefully, after the break. Fingers crossed, the same for Bruno and also for Fabian.” – Eddie Howe

Emil Krafth (knee) is out longer term.

SUNDERLAND

Regis Le Bris would only rule Jocelin Ta Bi (ankle), Nilson Angulo (unknown), Romaine Mundle (hamstring) and Bertrand Traore (knee) out of the Tyne-Wear derby.

That still leaves Nordi Mukiele (calf), Robin Roefs (hamstring), Dan Ballard (hamstring) and Enzo Le Fee (minor injury) as uncertain to feature on Sunday.

“We know already that Jocelin, Nilson, Bertrand and Romaine will be sidelined, ruled out for this game.

“For the others, we’ll have a late assessment because they are working hard behind the scenes to get ready for this fixture. It’s really important for us but it might be a pure medical decision. We won’t take unneccesary risks because we still have seven games after this one and the international break to manage the last parts of the rehab, if necessary.” – Regis Le Bris

Reinildo Mandava (knee), however, is back.

“Yeah, he will be [available].” – Regis Le Bris on Reinildo

EVERTON

David Moyes is hopeful that Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski will be “in and around” his matchday squad for the visit of Chelsea tomorrow.

Both centre-backs were absent last weekend for unknown reasons.

“Both hopefully will be in and around the squad tomorrow.

“We done great without them [at Arsenal] so if we didn’t have them, then I’d be fine, but we’ve got them back amongst it, I think.” – David Moyes on Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

Igor Tudor is hopeful Dominic Solanke (hip) will be available to face Nottingham Forest, despite the striker missing the midweek clash with Atletico Madrid. He was also not spotted in training on Friday.

“Dom didn’t train but probably tomorrow he will train with the team and he will be available. He had some problem with his hip but I think he will be okay.” – Igor Tudor

Joao Palhinha (head) has trained, however.

Yves Bissouma (muscle), Wilson Odobert (knee), Ben Davies (ankle), Rodrigo Bentancur (hamstring), Mohammed Kudus (thigh), James Maddison (knee) and Dejan Kulusevski (knee) remain out.

Tudor says that Maddison could return before the end of the campaign, with Kudus potentially back after the break.

Quotes to follow

ASTON VILLA

Having returned to training following a two-month absence, Youri Tielemans (ankle) will be assessed ahead of Aston Villa’s clash with West Ham United.

“He has started to train with us, individually he did one progression until today. Today is the first time he trained with us and he’s feeling good.

“He’s important but I don’t know if he’s going to be in the squad for Sunday. In case he is, try to progressively get him again with us.” – Unai Emery on Youri Tielemans

Matty Cash and Emi Buendia recovered from injury to feature off the bench on Thursday night.

Boubacar Kamara (knee) remains a long-term injury absentee.

FULHAM

Emile Smith Rowe been back in training this week, having felt some discomfort ahead of Gameweek 30 and sitting the game out.

Fulham will not just make a late call on him but also on Kenny Tete, who has finger and foot issues.

Kevin (foot) is still out.

BRENTFORD

Keith Andrews will give Mikkel Damsgaard (knock) every chance to be fit after he was forced off on Monday night.

The Danish midfielder has trained, however, and is named in his country’s squad for the upcoming internationals.

“Dams was on the grass today, which is obviously positive, so we’ll give him every chance, to see how he is for tomorrow.” – Keith Andrews

Elsewhere, it’s as you were.

Rico Henry (hamstring), Aaron Hickey (hamstring) and Vitaly Janelt (foot) will remain sidelined until after the March international break.

Antoni Milambo and Fábio Carvalho (both knee) are out for the season, while Josh Dasilva (knee) is only in “modified training” and unlikely to be in a matchday squad for a good while yet.

“They won’t be available for tomorrow’s game.” – Keith Andrews on his other injured players

BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION

Kaoru Mitoma has recovered from the ankle problem that kept him out of the Gameweek 30 victory over Sunderland.

“Kaoru will be back.” – Fabian Hurzeler on Kaoru Mitoma

Fabian Hurzeler confirmed that the Seagulls have no fresh concerns for the visit of Liverpool.

Adam Webster (knee) and Stefanos Tzimas (knee) are long-term absentees.

Mitoma’s availability means that Hurzeler may have a three-into-two headache on the wings. Diego Gomez has been in good form of late, while Yankuba Minteh took his chance on his first league start of 2026 with a goal against Sunderland.

“First of all, I’m happy that each of them is available. That didn’t happen so often this season. So, therefore, my medical department did a great job.

“I think Yankuba Minteh is a great example of giving the young players the opportunity again. He was waiting for his chance. He trained hard, he pushed his standards in every training session and then when he got his chance, he used it very aggressively and he used it on the left side very impressively. I know that he also has his strength on the right side. We all know that also Kaoru can be a game changer for us. So, for me, it’s great to have these three players at the moment available and in a great shape.” – Fabian Hurzeler on his wingers

WEST HAM UNITED

Crysencio Summerville (calf) misses out again this weekend.

Other than that, though, the Hammers have no concerns.

Ollie Scarles, who sat out Gameweek 30, is back available.

“[Summerville is] not available for this game. He’s getting better each day, we are assessing him day by day, but for Sunday, he’s not going to be available.

“[Scarles] is okay.

“Outside of Cry, everybody is available and working.” – Nuno Espirito Santo

NOTTINGHAM FOREST

Jair Cunha (ankle) looks set to miss out again.

“Jair has an injury. I don’t know exactly how long he will stay out but he is recovering and doing treatment. We will see what will happens, because he is important for us.” – Vitor Pereira, via the Nottingham Post

John Victor (knee), Willy Boly (knee), Nicola Savona (knee) and Chris Wood (knee) are longer-term absentees.

“I don’t know [if he could be back in Gameweek 32], I don’t know. I don’t have the information about it. But he is another leader, a fantastic player and character, and we need him for the last games.” – Vitor Pereira on Chris Wood, via the Nottingham Post

Callum Hudson-Odoi wasn’t involved in Denmark on Thursday for reasons unknown.

BURNLEY

Scott Parker reported no fresh concerns from the goalless draw with Bournemouth.

“We’ve had a good week, no real injuries, so we go there fully prepared and looking forward to the game.” – Scott Parker

Mike Tresor (ankle) has been back in training for some time now, so his omission from last weekend’s squad may have just been tactical rather than fitness-related.

Long-term absentees Zeki Amdouni (knee) and Connor Roberts (Achilles), who have also rejoined their teammates on the grass recently, likely won’t be ready to feature for a while.

Axel Tuanzebe (Achilles), Josh Cullen (knee) and Jordan Beyer (hamstring) remain out.

I believe there are four "random hat trick potential" forwards in the game: Haaland, Ekitike, Pedro and Thiago

Different factors play into timing them. Some are easier to predict, like if Pep is playing wingers to feed Haaland, or Thiago's opponents' defensive style given him so many big chances to miss. Pedro is really down to the play style under Rosenior (so far), with nothing of this sort of regularity at his previous clubs, iirc

Ekitike is truly random. He can get 4 big chances and miss all. Or score most. Or not start. Slotball might be faster today, slower tomorrow. The irregularity allows Bowen to keep outscoring him with those steady DC / G / A returns instead

I've got Ekitike Pedro Thiago. Waiting for the DGW layout to know who's going for Haaland, especially if Pep is consistently back to wingers

      Interesting take.

I think I'm just going to abandon Haaland for the rest of the season. For him to justify his price (for me) he needs to score a brace and be captained. While Bruno is consistently getting 8-15 points, I will be using funds elsewhere, even if it just means being more flexible (rather than maxing out my budget). Having said that, I have the armband on Palmer currently!!!

I've been on the Haaland out train for a while, but 7 shots in 57 minutes when Pep played wingers vs Madrid...

Do you think it means Semenyo is now a minutes risk then? He's taken some of the big chances away from Haaland. I'm not 100% convinced he was dropped, rather the tie was pretty much dead anyway so no point pushing him

I just think if you’ve kept him this long it’s worth holding.

Seems like Pep is going to change the formation to try and create more chances for him, so Semenyo may be the one who gets pushed out.

i can field 11 players and roll my 3 FTs but i wonder if I should be more aggressive:

    Current set up is ---->
    Petrovic
    Hill Andersen Aldarete
    Bruno Mbeumo Wilson Dango Wirtz
    Ekitike Thiago
    Bench: Timber Gab Haaland

My options if I make a transfer:
1/ I could sell Timber to Thiaw and bench aldarete. Downside is that timber will be back for GW32 and just has one tough fixture until end of season.
2/ aldarete to a sub 4.9. nothing super exciting (cash / bassey)

No idea when I want to WC yet so trying to keep options open.

Have just 1 free transfer and this backline:

        Konsa, Hill, Mukiele**, Gabriel*, Guehi*

Gab is obviously a keep but worth spending a transfer for Mukiele since he's a doubt? Or take the risk and he seems likely to be back already. Thanks!

wilson. maybe abit salty as i sold gordon before chelsea, but like city away, chelsea away, liverpool away etc even united at home, he looks dangerous as he's given room to run into. but everton at home was probably the least threatening he's looked in recent weeks up top, they sit deep which sunderland will do as well. i dont think gordon's movement as a striker against teams that sit deep is that good tbh, wouldnt even be surprised if wolte or wissa were up top for this one if howe wants to give barnes a breather at lw

having said that if you want to go gordon, just go with him

Just about managed to field 11. Still have 2FTs but would like to keep them for 33. Does the below look passable or am I going to have to make more changes?

      Dub
      VVD/VDV/Reinildo/Thiaw
      Enzo/Rayan/Fruno/Wirtz
      Thiago/Ekitike

Top of my mini leagues by about 40pts.

Is the a better chip Strat than WC32, BB33, FH34?

I have 3FT and can field 10 this week. Leaving Haaland, Semenyo, Rice, Gabby.
