FPL 2026/27: Price change predictions 2

If you’ve not been around in the last few days, you may have missed the rule tweaks and new features for FPL 2026/27.

There aren’t any major, game-transforming changes; certainly not on the scale of the introduction of defensive contribution (DefCon) points last summer.

Here they are…

Meanwhile, there are 11 players who have changed position, including new midfielder Eli Junior Kroupi:

Think there are better options than Gvardiol, Gusto and Munoz but don’t mind them (I’d go Colwill not Gusto as think he’ll play every game)

Jesus better not be Gabriel Jesus?!

Rogers might be a wait and see, maybe Garner and beef up the bench?

      1. Unsure on Gusto, Muñoz and Gvardiol are top picks imo

        That's Igor Jesus

Yeah Rogers might be too early

      1st draft thread!

      Verbruggen
      Calafiori - Gvardiol - Rodon
      Bruno - Semenyo - Szoboszlai - Stach
      Haaland - Pedro - Solanke

Kinsky - Grimes - van Ewijk - Egan

      Raya 4.0
O'Reilly Porro Konsa De Cuyper 4.0
      Bruno Mbeumo KDH Wilson 4.5
      Haaland Pedro 4.5

Have to play 4-4-2 and don't much like having Man U players but needs must.

Haaland's price is high but because everyone else is less than 10m other than Bruno it seems pretty easy to just have him regardless.

For the guarantee and captaincy option, I think I'd pay up to 18m for him.

And which Man City attacker would you have otherwise? Without the new manager Semenyo/Cherki/Foden but the uncertainty ruled them all out for me.

Plus avoiding Haaland for who? Watkins? JP? Isak? Not great…

Haaland out is to enable all the good mids.

You'd go Saka, Bruno, Palmer, Semenyo probably. Is it better? I doubt it but it's an option.

Isak £9m will be 50% owned at some point

Szobo at 7m and at least one Liverpool defender feel more of a priority so taking up 9m of budget for a third Liverpool makes me think he might be avoided for other options (Joao Pedro being the stand out)

Ekitike is the concern though. Will surely come on every game to protect Isak's glass limbs.

    Potential bargains:

Kinsky looks like he could be in every team, but don’t discount Leno (price drop despite being in top 10 of GK last year) and Rushworth if he moves to Coventry (great defensive record last year)

Similarly 4m for Bobby Thomas and van Ewijk is the go to for the 5th defender (van Ewijk was very good on throw ins last season), maybe Charlie Hughes for Hull but would rather go for COV initially

Hato is one to keep an eye on - new left back option? Smart move might be find 0.5 more for Colwill

N Williams at 5 feels great value but apart from GW1 his fixtures are bad until GW5, which if you’re paying 5m then I think you’ll want to play them week in week out

Shaw at 4.5 looks ridiculous, but potential for Mazraoui/Dalot to start at left back or United get a left back so he’s in my team but again might need 0.5 more for Maguire

Szobo/Garner/Sarr feel underpriced despite what they did last year so they’re in my team right now

6m for Le Fee and Brobbey means I would advise at least one (prob LF as on pens) but look to transfer out pretty quickly as only 1-3 good and Europe to come

Joao Pedro should be 8 or above, 7.5 when there’s a lack of great options feels like a steal

Hoping uncertainty over whether he would start would mean Osula would be 5.5 but 6 instead, LIV probably means he doesn’t get in my team initially but if he starts he’s one of the first transfers I’d get

Solanke could be nice value at 6.0m. With Senesi playing balls over the top, and a better engine room with Tonali & Fernandes, Solanke will surely get more service next season.

Don’t think those fixtures are outstanding enough to tempt me, plus he does feel a little bit brittle, so he’s a wait and see for me

    Easy

    Kinsky, dubravka
    Gabriel, tarkowski, frimpong, vuskovic, 4.0
Bruno F, Gibbs white, Madison, schade, 4.5
    Haaland, DCL, 4.5
