Fantasy Premier League (FPL) has launched for the 2026/27 season, so let the first-draft team reveals begin!
This time, we here from Dan Wright, who you can find here on X. Dan has five top 10k finishes, which means he ranks 30th in our Career Hall of Fame.
Will of course not end up with rotating 4 mil defenders but fun to get the first draft down nonetheless
Kinsky
Gabriel O'Reilly Shaw Diop
Mbuemo Foden Saka
Haaland Thiago Pedro
Steele Van Ewijik Hughes Crook
Day 2, draft #2 lol
Kinsky
Gabriel | Robinson | De Cuyper
Bruno F | Semenyo | Sarr | Ndiaye | Barnes
Haaland | Joao Pedro
Too many uncertainties in that midfield for me. Sarr Ndiaye and Barnes all a bit too samey
Aye I prefer my first draft with Palmer, Szob and Groß instead of those 3, and DCL instead of Joao Pedro
Too many sacrifices to have those big 3 imo
Like it except for De Cuyper
I like this
Kinsky 4
Calafiori Mosquera Muñoz Shaw Davis
Palmer Mbeumo Cherki Foden Szoboszlai
Haaland Pedro 4.5
City attack triple up with a new manager? Make or break tactics.
Nice team
Probably the best team i've seen so far, albeit a massive gamble of triple City attack.
A)
Steele
Kerkez, Mosquera, Maguire
Gibbs White, B. Fernandes, Szoboszlai, Ndiaye, Sarr
Haaland, Pedro
Kinsky, Diop, Aina, Kusi
B)
Steele
Kerkez, Mosquera, Maguire
Gibbs White, B. Fernandes, Szoboszlai, Ndiaye
Haaland, Calvert Lewin, Thiago
Kinsky, Diop, Hughes, Aina
A or B guys, 352 vs 343?
Thanks
Can do Maguire> Shaw, Sarr> Bruno G
A
A
Thanks guys
Current template:
Verbruggen
Porro/Mosquera/Konsa/
Rogers/Mbeumo/Bruno/Manzambi
Brobbey/Haaland/Pedro
Petrovic/Gomez/van Ewok/Diop
Have none of them 😎
2 of those for me
It’s elementary Dr Strange!
Fantasy Football Scout template (based on players featured in articles):
Verbruggen, Dubravka
Shaw, Rodon, Sessegnon, Diop, Thomas,
Bruno, Szoboszlai, Foden, Sarr, Fatawu
Haaland, Gyokeres Pedro
Van Ewok is not very good in the air
Same front three for me, as long as JP holds the 9 spot. I like Rogers at that price, but sorta want things to sort early. I also am a fan of Manzambi, and tend to think Villa need him to play. His talent seems likely to shin through.
Hato playing LWB in Alonso's 3-4-2-1 tactic? Talk to me.
Not known to play that position, LCB is a possibility.

Are there imaginary prizes?
I’m thinking about getting an aquarium. Does anybody have one?
I had a large Tropical aquarium for years.
I want to just stare at the fish!
An armoured catfish I suppose?
It’s incredibly relaxing.
You will rust!
The damsels dislike a rusty codpiece, so I’m told!
Won't it make your armour rusty?
It's deja vu all over again
Make sure to put a shrubbery in there.
Will Dub or Vicario be understudy to Kinsky? Kinsky and Dub looks a nice £9.5m pairing.
Think Vicario is leaving
Pick one:
A. Brobbey
B. DCL
C. Solanke
Solanke
Cheers Biff
Brobbey for me to start the season. Solanke may be leaving, and I just don't trust DCL after years of getting burned.
Dcl
DCL
Couple of 50/50s I'm torn on:
A) Palmer or Mbeumo/Cunha
B) Odegaard/Szoboszlai
Palmer and Szo if you have Bruno.
Currently on:
Donnarumma
Mitchell Jacquet Shaw (N. Williams Thomas)
Bruno Szoboszlai Mbeumo Ndiaye (wharton)
Haaland DCL J. Pedro
Happy to go without ARS defence to start for a GW 6 WC. Thoughts?
Lammens
VVD, Guehi, Mosquera,
Rodgers, Sarr, Cunha, Szobo
JP, DCL, Haaland
Bench: Kinsky, Kayode, Garner, Van Ewijk
Any first thoughts?
Thanks!
I like Cunha but would be worried about not having Bruno
How are we looking here?
Kinsky, 4.0
Gabriel, Kerkez, Aina, 4.0, 4.0
Bruno, Szobo, Sarr, Le Fee, Kdh
Haaland, Pedro, 4.5
Gabriel Bruno Haaland teams doesn't look great to me tbh
I don't see much compromise here at all
I personally have the view that it's feasible to go without Bruno F, and go for Mbeumo/Cunha instead as they offer more goal threat, one downside would obviously be captaincy. Furthermore the clamour for Shaw is bizzare he has virtually no attacking prowess and probably won't get DEFCON that often, much prefer Maguire.
Agree on Shaw
Ignoring Gabriel because £8.0m for a centre back is ridiculous... who do you think will be the Top 3 DEFENDERS for points scored?
1) VVD
2) Matheus Nunes
3) Hall
My guesses
1) Gabriel
2) O'Reilly
3) VVD
1
1) Van Hecke
2) Neco Williams
3) Gvardiol
very differential picks here!
Is anybody going for Harry Wilson here?!
I was, but then I got an extra 0.5m and went for Szobo
Need to see what system Farke is planning on using.
Was a mix between 3-5-2 and 3-4-2-1 last season depending on the opposition.
Wilson would be perfect as the right-sided attacker in the 3-4-2-1 (Okafor on the left), but not sure how he fits in the 3-5-2 unless he is deployed as a support striker as Aaronson was at times.
Either way, I think he takes Aaronson's place in the starting XI, and will be competing with Stach for set-pieces.
ST = DCL
LW = Okafor
RW = Wilson
CM = Stach
DM = Ampadu
LWB = Gudmundsso
RWB = Bogle
LCB = Muharemovic
CB = Bijol
RCB = Rodon
GK = Trafford?
That's a solid starting XI that has a bit of everything.
Anyone else feel like Mosquera is a trap? If I'd ignore Gabriel I'd much rather go with Raya but I don't think it is too difficult to build a good team with all Bruno, Haaland and Gabriel.
anybody have any links for minileagues for multiple top1k finishes?
Don't mind it. Thoughts?
Kinsky, Dubravka
Gabriel, Munoz, Shaw, Kadioglu, Thomas
Bruno, Mbuemo, Szboszlai, Ndiaye, Crooks
Haaland, DCL, Brobbey
Very solid. Btw who is Crooks?
Thank you. He is a Hull mid 4.5. See who if there is any 4.0mil GK or 4.5 Mid after pre season who may play a bit.
Could downgrade Gab to Calafiori who may not be nailed and have funds for Ndiaye up, DCL/Brobbey up maybe.
Bottomed. What are your thoughts on this lot? Aiming for BB2 as well (explains going heavy on COV bench defence)
Kinsky
Calafiori, Shaw, Kayode
Bruno, Semenyo, Szoboslai, Rice
Haaland, Pedro, DCL
Verbruggen, Van Ewijk, Thomas, Hughes
Looks a nice team. Coventry v Hull in MD2 so good idea. Will Hughes play though? that is the trouble with the 4.5 mids for bench boost
Not gonna lie just seen this draft by someone on X and it’s the best I’ve seen, I prefer mine but what a beautifully balanced team:
Kinsky
Gabriel | Robinson | Munoz
Semenyo | Sarr | Palmer | Ndiaye | Szob
Joao Pedro | Haaland
4.0 | De Cuyper | 4.0 | 4.5
Like it but feels like no Man Utd is a missed oportunity with first 2 fixtures - ive trebled up myself
Just put Shaw in for United coverage
Has made me think though, if we can only captain one is it worth having both Haaland and Bruno?
No Man Utd is crazy if you look at opening fixtures.
Yeah I think Shaw is needed as one of the 4.5s
Best I can come up with so far:
Kinsky
Mosquera Shaw Mykolenko
Rogers Szobozslai Fernandes Stach Mbeumo
Haaland Joao Pedro
Dubravka Mitchell Rodon Walle Egeli
Amazing, Rogers my only reservation
Looks good. I had Mykolenko too, but just took him out for DeCuyper.
Hope De Cuyper will be nailed this season, was fantastic when he actually played
Yeah was pretty good at the World Cup too
Shame his competition is even better than him. Might get a run at LW with Mitoma out.
You don't reckon he'll start?!
Kadioglu is just that bit better
Currently on
Donnarumma
Mitchell Jacquet Shaw (N. Williams Thomas)
Bruno Szoboszlai Mbeumo Ndiaye (wharton)
Haaland DCL J. Pedro
Happy to go without ARS defence to start for a GW 6 WC. Thoughts?
Is there any serviceable 4.5 mid which could get me occasional defcons? looking particularly for GW2 when I'll be playing BB. Not minding guys from promoted teams (I assume most of 4.5 starting mids will come from those teams anyway)

Good afternoon everyone.
I've created my team but for some strange reason my Team Name show's as 'Mike's Team' and not the one I've used for 10 years. I can't work out how to change my team name. Does anybody know how or have any suggestions?
Much appreciated.
Click on team details, bottom left on pick team page.
Thank you.
Don't worry. Just worked it out. Hooray!
Seems such a waste to see a young player like Summerville going to Saudi. Money over ambition I guess.
spend 1 year and be back for a UCL team, WC is 4 years away. Age and time is in his favor, money in pocket and good enough time to comeback.
Brighton's Diego Gomez @ £5.0m? Why is he priced so low?
Amine Adli @ £5.0 could also be a bargain if Bournemouth cash in on Junior Kroupi.
Adli is more competing with Tavernier
Competing with Minteh
