In ‘Goals Imminent’, we look at the underlying statistics to predict which players may score or assist in Gameweek 10.

That way, Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers can be proactive, not reactive, with their transfers.

Marc and Joe have a regular Fantasy Football Scout podcast that discusses the underachievers who are ‘due’, using the latter’s popular data table.

Naturally, we’ll try to distinguish between poor finishers and those who have just been unfortunate.

GOALS IMMINENT

Cole Palmer (£9.8m) is the sole success from last week’s table, because neither Newcastle United nor Nottingham Forest scored.

Ordered by xG delta, table number one shows players who’ve accumulated at least 10 shots over the latest four Gameweeks, but scored no more than one goal.

    Bentley: Rudoni: Hall: Thomas*

    1FT, 0.1 ITB

I had originally planned on rolling but CANNOT have Hall in my squad any longer:

    Hall > Silva…..Van Hecke…..Porro?

Sensible to just go for Silva?

Silva’s rising like the price of Gold (Sorry not sorry haha)

Starting team looks fine so I'd prefer to roll and have 2 FTs post the international break

        Appreciate it cheers bud!
I do kind of agree as I then face a dilemma of who to bench, which would likely be Muharemovic, but I’d really wanna play him.
I’ll mull it over a bit more but it does make sense to roll, probably makes more sense to move MGW on but I dunno why I’m so hesitant to let him go.

In the same boat here, its difficult to not want to make the move. Im itching to do it, but I know the smart thing to do is roll

Totally understand, it really is tempting to do the move, it’s not like i need to do it for the sake of price changes either, it’s hard to stay sensible but it does make plain sense to roll, I need to learn restraint sometimes ha!

Wasn't Murillo who Glasner was banging on the table about?

that'd be a shame if true. he wouldnt struggle to get a move away if it is

hope it clicks for him this season. hes on the verge of going on a monster run at some point if forest could just sort out their defensive mishaps

    PLEASE HELP.
Which one would you rather have? Already own Verbruggen.

    A) De Cuyper
    B) Antonio Silva

That’s a toughie! I’d say Silva to split the risk, but damn De Cuyper is playing brilliantly.
I think now right at this moment and looking forward, I think I’d have the side with De Cuyper from the two in isolation.

Im in the exact same boat. see below. Im seriously considering Hall and Egan to Silva and De Cuyper (hes killing my rank every week) as I want them both long term. What do you think?

Because you only have 1FT id go for De Cuyper.

  4. HellasLEAF

    Neto or Rogers right now

Hall to Silva with my 1FT. Should I just go with this tonight?

I’m caving, I really want Silva! Cannot stand the sight of Hall in my squad any longer and I’d aim to play both Muharemovic and Silva in GW’s 12 & 14 with fantastic fixtures.

Im rather envious of your maverickness.
As much as i love the Hall to Silva transfer, my bus team has Konsa, Calafiori, De Cuyper playing. Who does Silva replace this week anyway?

The only way I can justify it to myself is using the transfer to ensure ive got a good bench option should Calafiori or Konsa miss out for whichever reason, rather than having Hall and Thomas (flagged). But is that a good enough reason to spend the transfer over having 2fts after IB?

        1. RICICLE

Maverick was with splashes of stupidity perhaps from me ha! That’s true. I stupidly got rid of Konsa before he then went on a stupid high scoring run, so maybe I hahe that bit more reason to go for
silva because you are right, that is a good bus team defence especially this GW.
Having Silva as back up is a fantastic thing, as is 2 FT’s over the break. However I’m not totally risk averse and like taking the occasional hit. Taken one hit this easin and they was last week and luckily came out with a Green Arrow. Plus my rival will not have Silva, he lucked out with bringing Van Hecke in!
I’m gonna go do Hall > Silva now before changes.

as a non de-cuyper owner, have the means to get him this week. dont really care too much about ownership but anyways for me the attraction to get now is mainly just the brighton defence. the attacking threat is extra. already have vuskovic for starters. brighton seem to be conceding quite a few chances and underlying data not the best but verbruggen is inspired.

so i guess, 1 - do you think brighton have the capability to keep keeping clean sheets, or luck, well maybe not luck exactly (with it being more big blocks/saves/you shall not pass defending etc) but lets say the overperformance, will it stop soon?
2 - if minteh or mitoma get mins occasionally on the wing, thats fine but de cuyper would move to LB, not the bench, with boscagli keeping the LB spot? thanks for any help

    Recommend me the best move:
    - Barnes > Manzambi
    - Hall > Silva
    - Hall > Muha (later)

    My defence is:
    > Cala, MDC, VH, Hall, Thomas

Is Muha still worth buying in coming weeks? Originally was going to get for rotation with Van Hecke.

    1. RICICLE

Immediate move would be to Silva, it Muharemovic is still absolutely worth it imo, still so low owned and excellent fixtures in 12, 14, 16 & 18, and he will at some stage he’ll pop up with a huge 15/17 pointer that I am sure of.

Considering Silva in this week, skipping Manzambi & selling Barnes for someone cheap like Rudoni, then Thomas > Muha after.

Not that a Thomas is bad.

Just not sure about the Mabzambi pick.

Having said that Muha has better predicted points than Silva this week lol.

        1. RICICLE
          just now

I’d skip Manzambi as well personally. Barnes is a must sell imo, Newcastle completely toothless.
I brought Rudoni in last GW, fantastic enabler and wa sticky enough to grab his 9 pts benching Gross.
Thomas > Muha is a great move imo.
It’s like now after just being in silva I’ll be benching Muha, but I may even play him ahead of MGW in a 442, I do jsut fancy spurs to score with their current form.
Muha is such a beast though! I even fancy him to score! Yeah think I’ll bench MGW for him this GW.
          I’m ranting ha!
