Hypothetically, if you knew pre gwk that Villa's games would finish 1-3 & 3-3, would you have done Aguero -> Benteke?

    I'm still gonna say no.

Obviously if had those scores, you would also have the palace city score. And you're saying its not obvious to go with the main man for a team that scored 4 instead of the 'used' to be main man for a team that scored 1?

Help please. Just got 100 points and entered the exclusive top 10k club for the second time this season (have averaged around 12-15) - but my team looks in real trouble for two weeks time. I could have eight out. What to do with this??

    Myhil Green
    PVA Bellerin Bruce Vert Alderwied
    Sterling Sanchez Ozil Hazard Silva
    Austin Sakho Kane

    4.8m in bank

need at least four transfers, one defender, two midfielders and a striker probably - cash to burn and would probably ditch bruce, sanchez, sterling and austin. That would give me 34.8m for those four players...

    all help gratefully received!!

Unrelated lads, but I'm having an MMA related argument on a forum and it's basically me against the rest. I reckon Ronda Rousey wouldn't stand a chance against Floyd Mayweather in an MMA fight. Who wins, Floyd or Ronda?

Everyone else reckons Ronda would get him on the floor and "have him tapping within a minute. Anybody who thinks otherwise knows nothing about MMA"

So? Floyd is a boxer afterall. Rousey is an all-rounded MMA fighter for a living.....

          Pointless argument.

My opinion having followed (and trained) MMA from well before it was trendy (pre-2000) - doesnt mean its right however....

She would get dropped at her first attempt to close the distance and clinch.......

She's a woman. Floyd is arguably the greatest boxer of his generation and a master tactician.

And just to give you a specific example of what I'm talking about.

She pretty much initiates most of her throws off an over/under clinch - eating shots to get there.

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBP1uz7cBrk

Skip to 40 secs in to see the highlights of the Tate fight. Look at the shots she eats trying to get the clinch. Now compare the boxing skills of Miesha Tate and Floyd.......If you think she is walking through Floyd's shots you are smoking crack.

Torn between keeping Austin for one more week or doing Austin --> Remy, think I might keep.

If Liverpool win tomorrow is GW33 definitely going to be the blank? Also, would 37 definitely be their double? Cheers guys

If they win then 33 is certainly a blank. The would play the FA cup game that weekend and the 14/15 and 21/22 either side are Champs League matches so they cannot play on them.

Cheers mate, what's your opinion on when their DGW would be, GW 37 like Arsenal's rearranged one?

        1. Guidinho

My incline is that 34 may be a little too soon with regards to arranging policing etc so 37 looks more likely but not a certainty. I would hope they announce before this weekend but obviously the longer thereafter means increasingly more chance of 37

    2013
    Fernandinho £30m
    Jovetic £22m
    Negredo £20m
    Navas £15m

    2014/15
    Fernando £12m
    Caballero £6m
    Mangala £32m
    Bony £28m

£165m on 8 players. Not one has performed. Pellegrini has to be gone if these are his decisions.

The manager doesn't get a say in who is bought and sold? I'm not saying you are wrong, I don't know the internal politics of City. But it seems weird if he hasn't had a significant input.

We will never really know but I think there are certain situations when we know the manager was strong armed into accepting a player eg Sheva and Ballack were forced onto Mourinho . I do not think AVB was happy with some of the signings when Spurs sold Bale . Thanks for the insight on current Chelsea situation

Anyone have any idea how many clubs actually let their managers make their own transfers ? . I know Spurs and Pool have had Directors of Football

        Well, it's not that simple.

I know Chelsea best. There is a scouting network led by Michael Emenalo (Technical Director). But Jose gets a lot of input into who he wants and the club generally try to back him.

Sometimes that's specific players (Costa and Fabregas were Mourinho's choices), other times he asks for a type of player and Emenalo makes recommendations (Salah and Remy came in that way).

Not playing Milner is his worst offence imo.
Only Yaya, Kun and Silva deserve a spot ahead of him in the front 6

Only 19pts more for captaining Austin over Kane or Aguero seems a tad underwhelming when the dust has settled, still, not complaining 🙂

Its more if you don't own Austin 🙁

And its a 42 point difference from bottling the Kun to Benteke (C) transfer
