Hiya lads, hope you had a good GW 🙂 i don't usually ask for help with transfers, usually just post 'good to go?' with my line up each GW, but think i need to shake things up a little, also dropped +40k places this GW haha!
Would appreciate any help with suggested transfers. Team is:

    Myhill
    Terry - Alderweireld - Ivanovic
    Eriksen - Silva - Cazorla - Hazard
    Giroud - Aguero - Kane
    ---------------------------------------------
    Hamer; Rose, Boyd, Naughton

Eriksen, Cazorla, and Aguero maybe need to go, any suggestions?
    Cheers.

No need to panic, just remember that all those who had DGW players are now getting shot of them and you've already got 3 Chelsea that people will be trying to get in.

This is very true haha, my ML is more or less won, but just want to beat my last seasons rank of 21k, could still be possible, Eriksen and Cazorla are priorities to go after next GW i reckon.

Wait for FA Cup result, but consider getting Sterling or Sturridge. If Utd win the derby I expect Liv to be very motivated vs. New and close gap to 4 points to top 4. You also need a keeper as WBA fixtures get worse soon.

    What to do from here?

    Panti, Foster
    Ivan, Terry, Bertrand, Naughton, PvA
    Hazard, Silva, Eriksen, Mane, Moses
    Aguero, Kane, Austin

    2 FT, 1.8 ITB

    Austin + Foster ---> Gomis + Davis?

I really fancy Gomis for some reason, I plan on WC in two GW's time so I can get rid of him soon if it doesn't work out, he also has two easy fixtures. (EVE, lei)

1 away CS in their last 17 for Everton (against Palace before Pardew took charge) 2 away CS''s all season. The "fighting for their lives" excuse isn't a good one...

Fair opinion. I still prefer him over Murray/Berahino for the next two. The way Gomis dispatched both his goals against Hull shows that he is growing in confidence in my opnion. I mean, who tries to chip the goal keeper successfully when your down?

                Can be done i think.

Ings,Clyne,J Rod are easy to get.
                Khedira wants to leave.
Wolfsburg will let Ricardo Rodriguez go for anything above 20m.
                Juve won't turn down a 50m+ offer.
Reus is the only tough one.

Ing, Clyne, J Rod won't move to a big team unless they are guaranteed game time. Other clubs will grab onto Khedira first, maybe Bayern where all his friends are. Don't know much about Ricardo Rodriguez. I think Pogba is too important for Juve to let go at this stage, and I am willing to be my life savings that Reus won't join Man City anytime soon.

I think you're massively mistaken on the Reus part. City have been chasing him for some time now.
Clyne will be guaranted gametime for a number of years as a natural Zaba successor.
J Rod (not guaranted gametime at Soton atm) and Ings will get decent gametime and lots in wages to lure them.
Bayern don't need Khedira. And Khedira won't just move from real's bench to Bayern's bench. He's categorically stated that he wants gametime.

They aren't world class players though. All cheap and easy to get with not much competition, with about half of them being signed on loan. Man City also have to follow the Financial Fair play rule.

Only 2 loans there. And this was in reference to Acqua's post that teams don't make wholesale changes.

These signings were according to West Ham standards and the ones I mentioned are Man City standard. Nothing wrong in that I think.

Pogba won't come back to England, Liverpool won't sell Sterling to City (certainly not for 40mil) Plus, no-one from Europe ever pays big money for English based players on big wages like Nasri, Dzeko and Yaya.

            1. What's the basis of your saying Pogba won't come back to England? Juve can't turn down a 50m offer.
            2. If Sterling wishes to leave, Liverpool will have to let him go. Maybe for 10m more.
            3. Never listed big money moves for Yaya, nasri and Dzeko. All within realms of possibility.

I can't see it. I reckon most buys are underpriced and sales overpriced on what City would likely get if they even considered this strategy.

Sagna, and Guidetti prices are way over inflated for a start. Sagna is 32/33, nobody is paying £5m to get him and he left Arsenal to be a backup - he's got to be getting heavily compensated to do that. Guidetti meanwhile is no longer guaranteed starts at Celtic. If he gets permanent I'd wager it'll be a lot less than £7m.

Fernando is see hugely unlikely City wouldn't make a loss on.

Add in the fact that an injury crisis of 3 or more and the bench would be incredibly weak. Not nearly enough quality depth.

      1. pundit of punts
        • 13 Years

May be we'll get 5-8m for Sagna and Guidetti instead of the 12m that I have mentioned. Only a difference of 5mish. Doesn't make too big a difference.

I agree on the Fernando part. Going into the season with 3 senior CMs are a risk. May as well keep Fernando and increase the spending a bit. Won't affect much anyways as we're not bound by FFP regulations this season.

        1. Tex

Ffp affects other teams though. Even if City could get all of those players, which teams could afford these guys City are selling and which would have a need for the? The market doesn't have too many that realistically could afford them and it'd need the likes of PSG etc to take on multiple members of the City squad.
If in the close season Reus, Sterling and Pogba move on and Real Madrid get none I'll be stunned. Getting a few City hand me downs will appease noone at the Bernabeu. There'd be uproar.

I had Austin (c), which I still feel is pretty good, but to have both of those forwards, or one of the forwards plus Phillips as Valargentina says above, is pretty awesome.

    Guzan (Given)
Koscielny - Terry - Bertrand (Moore - Hutton)
Cazorla - Siggy - Hazard - Silva (Boyd)

Possibly, as you'll see below I probably have to look at Zouma this week and hopefully save the other FT for next

    Myhill
    Clyne Dawson PVA
    Hazard Silva Sanchez Eriksen
    Aguero Kane Austin

    Krul Bellerin Zouma Cork*

2FT and 2.4 ITB and still have WC

Zouma the most pressing thing here or something else?

lads, i need help. rival had tekkers in his team and is catching up to me, not much in it now.

    Myhill
    Terry - Clyne - Fonte
    Haz - Sanchez - Silva - Eriksen
    Kane - Aguero - Austin

Bench: Foster / Naughton - Boyd - PVA

    2 FTs, 2.5 itb

    A) Austin > Remy, save 2nd ft
    B) Austin > Pelle (well overdue), save 2nd ft

I have a very similar team. There's no desperate need to get rid of Naughton this week unless you're going to keep.Austin and Aguero. Austin to Murray or Remy for me.

    Hey DZ,
1)Sánchez and Remy and next week: Sánchez to Coutinho or smn who will actually have a GW33 if Blackburn don't win 😉
    or
2)Sánchez and Gomis and next week: Sánchez to Fabregas
    or
3)Fabregas and Benteke and next week: Benteke to Gomis, Lukaku or Murray if he still bangs em in

Just don't want Remy for one game in chelseas DGW and miss out on Fabregas' AMC role vs Arsenal and potentially ManU or will Oscar play all of them next 4games?

Walcott > Puncheon is all you need.

Aguero still not firing and Austin in sparkling touch.

Benteke is such a confidence player and he's up and about right now ... he can score against anyone and Spurs are a leaky backline!

Daft. Crazy, actually. Wally has to go but the other two could easily outscore Aguero & Studge + 8. That Spurs defence is pish and Chelsea have hardly been rock solid away recently. In fact, given City's poor form and Studge's limited playing time I'd be surprised if they didn't.
