There was a great point on the Guardian podcast last week with regards to the Uefa Cup. Realistically any team who qualifies through the league (position 5-7) is unlikely to get relegated the following season. You might as well play your strongest team as its a realistic chance of a cup not to mention a more likely way to get into the Champs League. Otherwise your teams bounces around the top 10 without any excitement for the fans
