Our members articles analysing last season are completed today with a review of West Ham’s performances. The Hammers entered 2014/15 in reasonable health, having finished 13th in the Premier League in the previous campaign, although they only gained 40 points and did flirt with the relegation zone before finally confirming their top-flight status.

Plenty of changes were made in both playing and coaching personnel at Upton Park last summer, with forwards Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho brought in, while Teddy Sheringham joined up as an attacking coach. Cheikhou Kouyate and Aaron Cresswell were also signed, while Carl Jenkinson and Alex Song moved to the Hammers on season-long loans.

In this members article, we asses the main goal threats and creators in Sam Allardyce’s final year at the helm and also compare the team’s attacking numbers to the previous year.

I've been swayed by Depay's position higher up the pitch, it's an easy switch if it doesn't work out.

    Hello all,

First go at the fantasy game this year, and desire to beat my mates has consumed me. Would love a RMT/any advice on my setup.

    Schmeichel, Guzan
    Ivanovic, Mert, Cedric, Richards, Huth
    Hazard, Cazorla, Mane, Ritchie, Matic
    Rooney, Kane, Deeney

    Nothing ITB

Planning to play a 3-4-3, the first week, see how chelsea is doing and then go 3-5-2 and add Matic in if it looks like Chelsea isn't having to slow of a start.

    Questions:
    - Waste of money on Ivan? Everyone seems to be going Azpi these days. Ivan still equaled everyone but oscar today in shots.
    - Am I spending too much on my lesser midfielders, and should I focus funds elsewhere?
    - Nothing in the bank and no Aguero strategy yet. Should I downgrade some lesser players and get in another big hitter in order to have funds when downgrade?

    Thanks!

Downgrade Ivan if you want a chance of getting Aguero/Sanchez when they are back without wildcarding.

get rid of matic for a 4.5m mid and save your money, matic wont do anything, apart from that your team looks solid

      dowgrade matic to wanyama
Swap Richards out no need for double villa
      Ivan to azpi?
      Upgrade ritchie with the money?

Consider Butland (Stoke) over Guzan. better fixture rotation with Schmeichel
Ivan and Azpil is something i am still debating
I'd downgrade Matic to a 4.5 like Wanyama
Don't worry about Kun strategy yet ... let the first two weeks play out.

      Nice team!

Ivan is never a waste of money. He's more than likely to hit the 150+ barrier. I'm sure he had the most shots in the league as a defender last season.
Ritchie and Matic are good, I'd personally bring in a more attacking mid ahead of Matic.
Depends when you wasn't to bring Aguero in. If you're not doing so well, you could easily wildcard, or if you save 2 Free transfers, you could downgrade one of your higher assets and make room for Aguero.
You should focus on flexibility, Make sure your transfer and substitutes are smooth in and out, last thing you want is to make -4 hits because you haven't planned a strategy.

Just wondering if you might want to set it up where you don't absolutely have to WC week 2. As it is, you're not leaving much option.

But re: week 2 WC, maybe there are better 4.5 defenders out there? Or maybe you could downgrade Coleman to make one of them a little better?

You really need a string captain choice up front, a player you know who will score 20+ goals if he's fit. I'd recommend Rooney, Costa or Aguero. Or punts on a repeat of Kane, or Lukaku could do well this year.

    Azpilicueta / Mertesacker / Cedric / Francis / Prodl

    Hazard / Ozil / Depay / Mahrez / Anya

    Rooney / Benteke / Pelle

    Things I'm considering:

    1) Mata or Depay
    2) Pelle or Lukaku
    3) Ozil or Cazorla
    4) any 4.5 def. you think could be better than the ones I have?
    5) Hearing Anya could be used as LB?

    First RMT of the season.
With so many great midfield options I will go for a 3-5-2

    Pantillimon (Henessey)
Darmian - Bellerin - Gomez (Cedric - Target)
    Sterling - Walcott - Depay - Özil - Fabregas
    Sakho - Pellé (Ighalo)

3.0m in the bank for upgrades
