Our members articles analysing last season are completed today with a review of West Ham’s performances. The Hammers entered 2014/15 in reasonable health, having finished 13th in the Premier League in the previous campaign, although they only gained 40 points and did flirt with the relegation zone before finally confirming their top-flight status.

Plenty of changes were made in both playing and coaching personnel at Upton Park last summer, with forwards Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho brought in, while Teddy Sheringham joined up as an attacking coach. Cheikhou Kouyate and Aaron Cresswell were also signed, while Carl Jenkinson and Alex Song moved to the Hammers on season-long loans.

In this members article, we asses the main goal threats and creators in Sam Allardyce’s final year at the helm and also compare the team’s attacking numbers to the previous year.

    B) Will Costa play GW1?
    C) Will Fabregas out score Hazard GW1?

Bit surprised that haven't seen more 3-5-2 formations in rmts. Lots of great mid options and lack of striker options from the start.

    Repost due to no reply...

After a lot of changes and the community shield messing up a lot of my team I have finally come up with something I like, RMT please:

    Courtois (4.0)

    Kos Shaw Kolarov (Targett, Huth)

    Depay Fab Ozil Sinclair Mane

    Rooney Lukaku (C) (Sakho)

Sakho rotation with Sinclair. Lukaku > Benteke gw2 unless other matters come up...

Obviously no haz is a risk. But it does allow for a really slick defence and balanced team.
Love the kolorov pick. I've has been in and out of my team. My only worry about him is that I think west brom will score gw1 and then he has a tough fixture in gw2. So he may not deliver straight away.

TY for the reply, agree on every point. Could downgrade the keeper to Schmeichel and upgrade Fab to Haz and still have 0.5 ITB.

Kolarov is a worry but I feel like taking a punt on him...

First RMT of the season! Let's go...

    Ruddy/Butland
    Mert Ivan O'Shea (Ward, Pudil)
    Hazard Depay Sterling Wijnaldum (Stanislas)
    Tekkers Rooney Lambert

    Go on then pull apart....

    OR

Give me a score out of 10, your choice.

Looks decent but one thing I'd say is you have loads of players who have just arrived at there new clubs and it may take them a while to settle in? Also Mert isnt nailed on. I was also considering Lambert as a bit of a differential rather than Deeney, but he has quite hard fixtures

GW 4 WCers, have you looked at the fixtures for GWs 5-10? Apart from City, I don't see a run of fixtures for the top 6-8 teams that you'd want to take advantage of? Arsenal and Chelsea pretty much the same level of difficulty as the opening 4 and many of us are already loaded with 2 or more from each team. Utd's fixtures turn sour but a switch from Rooney to Aguero or Depay/Mata to Sterling or Silva can be achieved with 2FTs easily. The Liverpool situation is also the same. Good home fixtures and bad away games. I doubt Hendo and Milner will be sold though as they are good value. Spurs fixtures are meh. Everton continue their bad run of fixtures. Southampton's fixtures are also bad to a lesser extent.

So the question is, why WC? I think if you started with a balanced team without many over the top risks, then you should be able to avoid problems of non starters and jump on early wagons with clever use of FTs alone.

i'm likely WC'ing GW4, but won't if team is well set. ideal world i won't make a transfer going into GW3 and get aguero in for gw 4 via 2 free transfers. that said won't hesitate to play it if needs be

Ok so the Goalies were voted on, and as I'm sure most of you guessed, the winners were.......

    #RUTLAND!

so that's the first part of our team sorted, and now for the defence, a little more complicated, feel free to comment on why etc. Which Defender set up do you like?

    A) Ivanovic - Koscielney - Francis - Huth - Ward
Premium, 5+ goals guaranteed. Chelsea + arsenal! and a three way rotation for the other spot

    B) Azpilicueta - Mertesacker - Cedric - Mings - Morgan
Cheap Chelsea, Cheaper Arsenal, Southampton and some decent back up!

    C) Clyne - Jagielka - Fonte - Mertesacker - Francis
lots of 5.5 all around strength across the board!

    D) Cedric - Clyne - Toby - Marriapa - Saylor
Keep it cheap, save the money for up front!

    E) some other guys! I dont like any of these options

Just can't fit both Sterling and Mane in my team unless there is some mystical 7.5 striker going below my radar.

So which one would you have for first 4 gws?

    Sterling or Mane

I'm starting with 3-5-2 there isn't room for both of them unless my third mid is 4.5 non starter.

      I have both 🙂

Probably Mane, but Sterling is a little unknown at the moment. Flip a coin?

Both are excellent pick. Maybe I should start 3-4-3 so I could fit them both in.

Is it worth having an easy plan for Kun?
(I feel like my team could be much better off with out it)

I'm tempted to just pick the team I want for the first few games, then wing it in GW4.

        that's the other option

It's do-able without a wc but you have to start with at least 1 City player though

I'm thinking about WC in GW12 but I am struggling to make a nice team with Aguero, Sanchez and Hazard as the two formers are injured. I have no idea who to get in as it leaves me with no Southampton coverage.

Do we think Giroud could start GW1? Looked much better when he came on today!

    RMT
    Stekelenburg - (Ruddy)
    Azpilicueta - Bellerín - Cédric - (Richards - Mings)
    Depay - Hazard - Cazorla - Henderson - Mane
    Kean - Wilson - (Sakho)
Thoughts? Who would you C in GW1?

Thinking of flipping Depay and Kean into Matic and Aguero on GW 4

Matic is a waste of a Chelsea spot.
