With the season now in full swing, we begin to adjust our sights when it comes to the statistical analysis available to our Members. We’re set to focus on specific players and teams a good deal more from now on.

Today’s article is a case in point – all eyes were on Mikel Arteta at the Emirates this weekend and Fantasy managers will have been keen to assess how he settled amongst his new team-mates and, indeed, how he fared when it comes to the key performance statistics.

We delve into his ICT Index figures then, drilling down into the Opta data to investigate how Arteta at Arsenal compared to his typical Everton displays of last season, and assess his potential from this point.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    UCL Mega fail!!!!

    Hasnt even started yet and ive taken a hit!
    Thought the deadline was 7.45 (which is is next week)
    Had Hulk (c) so tried to do a last minute change and transfer him and Anderson out for Hernandez and Mata, and (c) Messi

    OOps. another fantasy team bites the dust, ill put in the bin with my 2 FPL and 6 Sun teams!!!

        feels like a completely different game, it's quality. Defending has been completely overhauled. For the better, comes out tomorrow for PS3 users, today for Xbox.

    On Arteta, it will be interesting to see who plays further forward when Jack Wilshere returns. Arteta might well get pushed up into Fabregas' old role (which Ramsey sort of has at the moment), with Song/Frimpong sitting deeper alongside Wilshere in CM...

        I reckon he could get a fair amount of gametime actually. CFC don't really have another central creatively-minded midfielder - Essien(injured), Mikel and Ramires tend to sit deeper, and Lamps is more of a box-to-box finisher than creator. Mata & Torres & co. will benefit from Meireles' touch and spark so for the majority of upcoming games he should get gametime (apart from possibly the big clashes with MU etc when AVB might favour two defensive CMs). He's massively on my watchlist from gw6...

        Not sure he will get an assist for that. The assist rules are stricter for UCL.

          Assists have to be a pretty clear cut pass, and that's it.
