With the season now in full swing, we begin to adjust our sights when it comes to the statistical analysis available to our Members. We’re set to focus on specific players and teams a good deal more from now on.

Today’s article is a case in point – all eyes were on Mikel Arteta at the Emirates this weekend and Fantasy managers will have been keen to assess how he settled amongst his new team-mates and, indeed, how he fared when it comes to the key performance statistics.

We delve into his ICT Index figures then, drilling down into the Opta data to investigate how Arteta at Arsenal compared to his typical Everton displays of last season, and assess his potential from this point.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

        Yes, but hardly impressive all in all. I'd actually rather pick Bains, which says it all. Rooney the "safe" option. Really wanted to go with rvp as no one has him in my league but arsenal are just not doing anything

            To be fair, players like Koscielny, Song and Benayoun stood up tonight. Really like the look of this Dortmund side, should go far.

              Benayoun still tries difficult balls a bit too much. He's got quick feet, and did play some nice football, but gave the ball away too cheaply a few times.

              Having said that, Dortmund's pressing was exceptional.

      I think it's encouraging that Torres is assisting. It's a way to get involved in the scoring and make him feel good about his play again, now defenders won't be expecting him to blindly sprint at goal every time he touches the ball. Could be just what he needs to re-spark himself..

        I really fancy Taarabt. So far just BP's for him in fantasy terms, but if im not mistaken, he's hit the woodwork twice and could easily have had 3 assists so far if he'd been lucky.

        Choosing him over Dyer seems like a no brainer to me, but then again, the season start could not have gone worse for me so far so I wouldn't rely on my decision! He's defo in my team in any case!

        Was never too keen on him. I don't think 'pass' is in his vocabulary. Mostly dribbles with his head down. It is strange seeing Arsenal play with people who can't keep/pass the ball against the best teams. RVP looked on a different wave length to everyone else tonight.

          Give him a break, poor Gervinho is taking heavy fire from all sides on here after only ~4 games. He got 10 official assists last season, that indicates he actually does know the word pass.
