With the season now in full swing, we begin to adjust our sights when it comes to the statistical analysis available to our Members. We’re set to focus on specific players and teams a good deal more from now on.

Today’s article is a case in point – all eyes were on Mikel Arteta at the Emirates this weekend and Fantasy managers will have been keen to assess how he settled amongst his new team-mates and, indeed, how he fared when it comes to the key performance statistics.

We delve into his ICT Index figures then, drilling down into the Opta data to investigate how Arteta at Arsenal compared to his typical Everton displays of last season, and assess his potential from this point.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

          I *think* you can change it betwee players as long as they haven't played. Thus you can take it off someone who played tonight and put in on anyone who hasn't yet played.

        Even though I'm financially downgrading to Mata, it feels more of an upgrade; an extra 2.5mil to splash around! And Lampard was only in my team until Mata showed some potential, which he has done!

          hes only at 36% on fiso but i reckoned seen he dropped he'll rise the first .1 quicker,

          iv had sess since the start after seeing his pre season but he has been a massive let down,,, at least sinclair and taarabit have been tacking pot shots and cracking the woodwork.

          Vorm and Krul rotate well home and away and both look to have good save potential in reasonably tight at the back teams

          Suarez will pretty much play every game whereas Dzeko will not. Lets not forget, we have been spoiled a bit by some mega numbers from Dzeko, Aguero and Rooney, but Suarez is looking amazing all round play and is still averaging a goal every two games which in general is still excellent for a forward

      I got Lescott in over Kompany purely for his goalscoring. Hasn't worked out that way.

      I think I'm going to lose Lescott but not for another City defender. Not sure he's worth it this year. Mancini has removed the shackles and one less defensive midfielder has opened them up somewhat.

        Exactly same reason - his goal in the community shield sealed it for me. Not sure now when I see Kompany getting BPs as well as CS. Will stick 1 week and reassess next week.

    How did Walcott look today? With Lampard dropping, Arsenal's nice fixtures and extra funds helpful for future changes I thought Walcott would be an ideal replacement and to get Mata in for about the same price after the United game if he doesn't do much.

      Good thinking, however I've done a straight Lampard > Mata transfer. Tbh I've got no interest in having any Arsenal player in my team (yes, even with their fixtures!). I've got 2 freebies this week so by doing Lampard > Mata, it sets me up for a potential Mata (c) next week as well as accumulating another free transfer!

          For £8m he looks alright, but if you dont have at least two of Nani/Young/Mata/Silva/Adam/VdV then make some cash elsewhere and upgrade imo

      I am not a member either...but I would say the gist is:
      1 Arteta Passes the ball a lot.
      2 Arteta takes free kicks and corners.
      3 Arteta is Spanish although he could play for England.
      4 Arteta would be the new Paul Scholes if he had Red hair and was paler.
      5 Arteta does not score many goals.

          These nationality eligibilty rules are in general a load of bullshit. I remember many years ago there was a chance that Lorenzo Amoruso could have played for Scotland. Thats just not right.

          no one is as bad at tackling as the Paul Scholes... well i bought him for the first 2 facts you mentioned, but we'll see if arsenal bounce back with this run of games... personal i think RVP and walcott may reap any rewards as arsenal aren't prolific from corners
