With the season now in full swing, we begin to adjust our sights when it comes to the statistical analysis available to our Members. We’re set to focus on specific players and teams a good deal more from now on.

Today’s article is a case in point – all eyes were on Mikel Arteta at the Emirates this weekend and Fantasy managers will have been keen to assess how he settled amongst his new team-mates and, indeed, how he fared when it comes to the key performance statistics.

We delve into his ICT Index figures then, drilling down into the Opta data to investigate how Arteta at Arsenal compared to his typical Everton displays of last season, and assess his potential from this point.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I wud go Komp ShawX and the Boss - I have the same issue - its a bad gw for my defence - think Im going Kompany, Boss and bringing in either, Hutton or Ward in place of De Laet - play 3 at the back

I'd probably go with Kompany, ShawX & Simpson with Enrique as first sub. Bosy may not play and will certainly concede.

Soz lost on bottom of last page but very keen to here opinions:

How much longer is Yaya likely to remain playing as a holding Mid. I think he’s due a goal – he oves getting forward and DeJong can’t be far off a return???

4-2-2-2 is working wonders for them wit silva and nasri on the wings, for yaya to get forward they need to switch to 4-2-3-1 unlikely with the form of their forwards.
yaya de jong and barry will rotate for the 2 holding mids positions as long as the strikers are fit

Evertons fixtures are hard but last season they did win 3 and drew 4 out of the 7.
3 clean sheets and 2 assist and 1 goal and man of the match against Chelsea for Baines!
My argument for Baines is if your wildcarding now than if not now how will you get him.

Baines will not perform his previous season performance because of lacking in support structure. The same problem is faced by RVP. Do not influence others just because you do not want the player's price to drop. In fact, if Baines price continues to drop, more will buy him eventually.

I've got to give RVP another chance, he's too good to disregard, I'm not one for sudden rash decisions.

But at the same time, after seeing Arseanl in CL, and 12mil taken out of my current team balance, I'm tempted to:

    Ramsay + RVP OUT
    Gervinho/Adabayor + VDV/Mata IN

The more I look at it the more I think it makes sense.

If you are seriously thinking of doing that it would have to be Adebayor and Mata for me.

But with regards to RVP,there is no doubt that when Arsenal get thier act together he'll be amongst the largest point haul. I opted for Rooney (not rubbing it in at all) on the basis that Arsenal are in transition...as I have stated previously, there is no doubt he's one of the best finishers in the game but will the rest of the team give him the platform to be able to produce.

      Tough call.

I'll give RVP at least 1 more GWs, probably 2. They have Bolton at home GW6 and if they can't beat them there's something wrong (very poor away record).

Same with Walcott, I might give him 2 more games.

Van Persie was on fire for Holland (granted against poor opposition) and Arsenal played much better last night. They will also greatly improve as the new signings bed in and 2/3 players are back from injury suspension nxt week.
They have a good fixture run too so I'm predicting a massive week for Van Persie soon. Taking a points hit to miss out on that makes no sense to me...

On the other hand, if you still decide to change VDV is gold IF he stays fit but its always a gamble on him...
Gervinho plays as a winger but is classed as a forward, not good.
Adebayor is a great choice so its whether you prefer Mata or VDV.

Thanks all. I'm going to hold fire. RVP end of last season was too good to forget, even after last week end. It's Adabayor and Ramsays injury that's making things tricky for me. Hopefully Dzekos benched this week end to make a straight transfer between the 2 easier!
