We’re trying a new approach to the ICT articles, focussing on individual teams and tactical decisions in the Gameweek gone by. Saturday’s game at the Stadium of Light saw three players -Raul Meireles, Juan Mata and Daniel Sturridge- all make their first league starts of the season for Chelsea and Nicolas Anelka also played the central role of the front three for the first time this campaign.

The 2-1 win means Chelsea maintain their chase of both Manchester clubs at the top of the table and all four played a significant part in the victory. Here’s some analysis on their ICT ratings and how each of the quartet fared overall:

Hardest captain dilemma so far this season..

    Bent
    Baines

    Or Roondog.

Newcastle could of conceded 3-4 to QPR last game.. Baines will no doubt get 6+ points. The way Man United are playing they could easily put 2-3 past Chelsea.

May have to be a coinflip decision, or maybe I'll play rock paper scissors with myself.

    Currently going 4-4-2 this weekend.

    Hennessey (Krul)
Simpson Enrique Kompany Bosingwa (De Laet)
    Silva Mata Petrov Taarabt (Moses)
    Rooney RVP (Holt)

I am getting rid of Holt next week with my 2 free's as I don't think its essential for this week but does anyone think he might well be worth a shout ahead of one of my DEFs this week? Bolton have looked terrible defensively?

Also my captaincy choice is really messing with me...Rooney, RVP and Silva all make sense to me but can't decide!

Playing Bos away to Utd makes no sense when you could play a striker who is 1st choice on pens. Put him in.

Captaincy is tough, I reckon RVP has the most potential this week but is also the biggest risk. He could do nothing or go nuts. Rooney and Silva is 50/50 in my opinion. I'm going RVP myself.

Yeah I think RVP might be the way to go, with Blackburn's fans protesting about the manager this week it could be difficult for them to focus and stay upbeat and Arsenal should be feeling better after a good result in midweek!

Going by odds, Aguero (evens) is most likely to score a goal followed by Bent and Van Persie (11/10).

People thinking about Baines/Ward as captain they are 5/1 and 4/1 respectively to score a goal at anytime.

No no no. Aguero is the most likely City striker to be rested this weekend, and Odemwingie is a much better FPL prospect that long.

Tévez over Aguero this week if you're considering the above move.

ps keeping Suárez is not a bad option; he's developing a habit of having a couple of blank weeks in between contributions...

I'm a United fan and think it will be much closer than some people have made out although I do think Chelseas defence isn't as strong as it once was and we could score a couple but I don't see us keeping a clean sheet. Still think we will edge it though.

If Sh*t the bed posts, which he will, that's impossible. The ref could give a dodgy throw in and he'd start throwing his toys out the pram.

I think Chelsea can win it too. United haven't had a tough game yet, not taking anything away from their performances they can only beat who is put in front of them, I think both teams are there to be gotten at could be high scoring game.

They haven't had a tough game yet, they have however won 22 of their last 23 home games, I think. Though I guess their last home loss WAS against Chelsea. It could happen, I just don't see it. Will be bringing in Sturridge this week for the long term though (as a replacement for Ruiz).

Ok im really considering a punt on mr low ownership VDV priced at a nice 9.7mil. Only thing is i worry he wont play this coming weekend or may start on bench.
Surely with his Europa league rest he is bound to be kept only for the PL.
With that in mind here is what i can do :
    1. Mata Dyer Suarez
    or
    2. Meireles VDV Sturridge.

Id be benching Chelsea boys this week most likely.
