I rate Defoe's chances of scoring a goal much higher than Payet's, so I suppose Defoe. But Payet has a broader range of avenues to get points, maybe more reliable, so in that case Payet. In other words... dunno.

Rooney has zero form atm, plays for a team that don't look like racking up big scores any time soon and takes up a big chunk of our budget. Definitely not knee-jerky to want him gone.

Problem is, nice fixture next week. It feels like it would be stupid to sell....

Right, got my wally plan sorted. I'm going to take the drop which will be the difference between bringing in a 6.5 like Lens or Shelvey at 5.5 and tbh at this stage its not clear which of those moves would be the best anyway.

      Exactly this!

Just because someone is priced in a higher bracket doesn't mean they are any better. Going the cheaper option will also give you flexibility elsewhere that you wouldn't otherwise have !

Not been on here tonight but if they general consensus isn't 'get rid of Rooney' then I will get his name tattooed on my arse.

He's in my team at the start of every season and always does f**k all. Don't know why I listened to people.

I said earlier in pre-season on Rooney at it's been mentioned tonight but it's worth stressing

Rooney is incredibly streaky. On form I'd happily pay 12.0 for him and he can go and score brace v anyone. Out of form he isn't worth 1.5 because he'll just do nothing.

Right now he's bang out of form. Further, he's had maybe 2-3 touches in the opposition box in 2 games.

He's drifting really deep to come and get the ball and thus isn't influencing our attack at all and right now I;m not sure LvG's system suits any striker, it's too slow and ponderous.

Gone are the days of playing Wigan,Hull and Derby. His lungs and ciggy problem are catching up with him. Flat track bully Im afraid, wait for that string of easy fixtures and hes up front and on pens.

Lots of nonsense being posted about price changes so here is what FFFix projects. FFFix was very accurate all last season apart from during the winter wildcard and has been pretty spot on this season so far too.

    Tonight's Risers: Romero, Ayew, Cabaye

Tonight's Fallers: Wilson, Clichy, Ritchie, Courtois, Ki, Walcott amongst others.

Rooney is miles away from a fall, in fact he is still in plus territory (+6%) and not falling fast. Unless Aguero starts/scores tomorrow it is quite possible that Rooney will not fall this week at all given his next fixture.

Make of that what you will. 😕

It means nothing now. Top 10k ownership is the best metric for finding out how popular a player is. Unfortunately we have to wait a few months for most of the competitive players to get in there.
