Yeah. I WC'd. I do it early most every year. Can't have that thing layin' around. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

you WC'd and got Romero? good shout but now you might have to save a FT if DDG stays

I think DDG has to be out. But, I haven't followed the news on that in the last day or so. Things could have changed. Oh well. If I need to swap him out, I guess I'll just bite the bullet. I'm all about taking less hits this season than usual, so I hope he gets at least a few more games to allow me to get him out for free with no real damage if need be.

I see GW1 as the year's biggest crap shoot. That's why I likey like Wildcarding right after it.

It always is a bit like that. Truth is, you don't know that much more in GW2 though so that's almost as bad.

    Lads, I'm stumped.

    Ruddy, Butland
    Azpi, Koscienly, Williams, Huth, Targett
    Hazard, Sterling, Ozil, Chadli, Fletcher
    Rooney, Pelle, Sakho

    2 FT. 0ITB

What to do? Keep Rooney for one more week? Or downgrade someone to bring in Aguero.

Lets say I keep him, what transfer do I do? I was in a similar position last season where I saved my transfer GW1, then I had nothing to do with my 2 FT's in GW 2. I ended up trading my 4.5 midfielder to another 4.5 mid 😆

      Very similar and same problem!

      Azpi to Shaw
      Rooney to Aguero
      Then Ozil downgrade?

      Im looking at this
      Azpi to Shaw
      Rooney to Aguero
Ozil to 6.5 or Benteke to 6.5

i dont mind the 4 point hit

    Guys,
Is it possible this season to know if a rival has activated their WC?

Last season, I remember there was something on the right hand side bar that would say 'wildcard available' or 'wildcard active', but it's not there this season.

if they have it will say wildcard played under the big blue box which says current score at top left of team

Doesn't seem to be many better picks on paper for next GW and he always blanks or scores in groups. And his home record good. Just feels like a waste although the mass transfers may push up aguero in price which would force many hands

Assuming he doesn't drop and Aguero doesn't rise so you have act before hand (4.2 and 25.0 respectively on fpl stats at moment)

As a North American, this game can be a bit easier to play due to the time change.

Yea, Australia is a shocker. Especially so when daylight savings changes both here and in the UK, and the early kickoff goes from 9:45 pm to 11:45pm, with the others switching to 2 am and 4:30 :/

          Very true.
My issue here is power cuts though.
Sat down to watch city towards the end of last season with Kun silva and Kolorov and the power went at nil nil. Didn't come back til 6-0 but t'internet stayed down til morning. Then I found out I'd got 75 points from the game.

    Ruddy/Rudd
    Azpi/Huth/Williams/Targett/ Coates
    Hazard/Depay/Betaleb/ Sterling/ Ozil
    Rooney/Benteke/ Sakho

    0 ITB 2 FT

    Im looking at this
    Azpi to Shaw
    Rooney to Aguero
Ozil to 6.5 or Benteke to 6.5 (f tekkers to a 5.5 Shaw can be Darmian)

He could come good, but United's fixtures turn after GW3 so you're probably better off exiting the position. You can always come back again if it looks like United are finding their attacking gears.

I really wanted to help sab but there is just so much of this game week to go and we could learn so much.

Overall though, 2 cs do not make man utd a better defence than chelsea. Save yourself that hit unless you need the money.

Rooney to aguero by wk 4 is a no brainer, the question is whether to do it now or give him the newcastle game. Really need to see aguero this week to make that call

Best mf options under 6.5 currently montero, shelvey or mahrez but we have another week of information to assess, another option may emerge

do you think it is worth dropping C Wilson to Defoe for a -4?

I don't want to lose .1 if Wilson drops and it seems likely that will happen.

I think Defoe has great fixtures as well in weeks 3-4.

    Any advice is welcome

Wilson's has a tough fixture next week, but then a nice schedule after that for a bit. I'm doubtful that Defoe is worth a hit.

I would say no. If you are ever going to own wilson it should be for his fixtures from GW4-8, which are fantastic. He looked promising last week, so I'd give him a chance to shine and use your transfers on more pressing issues.

The future scenes from Terminator, possibly. Blade Runner looks amazing, but if you've driven past Port Talbot, near Swansea, at night you get a sense of where some of that look may have come from. (Rumour has it Port Talbot was the inspiration for the cityscape).

To be honest, i looked at the member stats yesterday (when i became a member for the first time) and there's good reason to go Ayew in the Premier League.

I posted that reply, that was hulked and became a hot topic, to Beavis to show him what I thought of their performances in the French League. I still feel that Payet will out score Ayew in the long-term. However, if Swansea play him as a secondary striker, and he keeps spending so much time in the box, he could be a revelation this season.

Jury is still out. I'd like a few more weeks of data to see how the two players' field position averages up.

At this stage, I'm running with Payet. 🙂

Yea I think the superior goal threat, and the way in which that is rewarded more highly in fpl, swayed it for me. But if I could have both, I would!

          Best of luck 🙂

He is definitely a bigger goal threat. I won't deny that.

We'll also see Payet finding the net a lot. He banged a few in for West Ham in pre-season. He's also a serious assist machine. If he was in a better team, we'd be comparing his stats with Cesc. I think it'll end up close between the two.

Good luck to you too Geordie.

But he's such a poor finisher Ryan. At 9.0 don't you think he's a bit overpriced for a kid who can't finish..

Still young, still developing, and now in a team with better players. He's no striker and no longer has to carry the goals burden that he was lumped with at Liverpool. I think he'll come into his own this season and will improve his finishing as well as getting plenty of assists.

I would started the season with Sterling and have faith in him. But yaya's performance last week made everyone turn their head. Worth monitoring this week to check whether it was an anomaly or whether he has rediscovered the fantasy form of old. If so, 8.5/6 is a bargain.
