We delve into the members data this evening after the Gameweek came to its conclusion last night. Stoke, Southampton and Watford’s forwards all come under analysis, whilst Sergio Aguero and Alexis Sanchez make a strong claim for immediate investment on the back of their weekend showings.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

I asked earlier why people chose Williams over naughton (more attacking) and they said bonus.

In the 2 matches naughton has more total bps points (46-43)

He got a yellow card in the second match which is why he only got 1 BP, which is already impressive in that he is getting any bonus with a yellow. Not sure I agree with people here.

I think they mean the change in rules for how defenders acquire points in the BPS. Also Naughton wasn't originally nailed, I think. Now since the season has started obviously Naughton looks the better pick of the 2

It was this gw I asked, in response to wildcards with Williams in. I'm putting naughton in anyway, glad you agree!

Tabanou what brought in and quickly made concerns that either Naughton or Taylor were going to lose their place. Most likely would've been Taylor since he's the left back. Williams is just more nailed and the bonus point system helps him more this season. Naughton is a good differential

Why does the Bonus system favour Williams this season? it hasn't so far based on Scoredelario's post

tbh, I've just heard a ton of ppl saying it and so I take their word for it. doesn't it factor in clearances and interceptions more this season?

Its based purely on last season of course. After 2GW's I think its still too soon to tell with regard to BPS

Anyone think this is worth a wildcard? 🙁

    Ruddy / Rudd
    Azpilicueta / Mertesacker / Morgan / Targett / Saylor
    Sanchez / Payet / Mahrez / Sinclair / Wanyama
    Aguero /Rooney / Benteke

I've already used both of my FTs this week and I have 1.9m itb. I'd restructure my entire defence and remove Sinclair, Mertesacker and Rooney for the likes of Depay, Gomis and Kolarov... I don't want to be left behind with price rises and potential explosions this week. What would you do?

Not bad, although I'd prefer Depay to Yaya I think. I'd probably do it this week but if you are ballsy enough to go without Aguero this week best of luck to you 😀

Rooney does have a nice fixture though and Hazard is a quality player so I can see the merits of keeping for another week I guess

Yes, thats what I thought, give Haz and Rooney one more chance with a nice fixture to Rooney and a +/- fixture to Haz and Chelsea needs to win this time.

Then with 2 FTs next week see what I can do and maybe bring Yaya and Kun for them.

            I will risk that.

            Thanks mate. 🙂

Hey,lads, a little help plz. Who to bench for GW3? Willing to play 3-4-3 or 3-5-2

Alexis (LIV) Coutinho (ars) Ayew (sun) Payet (BOU) Mahrez (TOT)
Kun (eve) Pelle (wat) Gomis (sun)

RMT is telling me to bench Coutinho.

    Thanks for the help!

I don´t know but they have a pretty good defence and defensive midfield and they play with agression and intensity, then Southampton is not doing so well and Pellè has not done something special for a long time, I would go forward and bench Pellè.

Currently the same - in form player for in form attack against out of form defence. But it's easy to argue that any of the others could top score.

Tempting to back a City player after they beat Chelsea 3-0, but Everton beating Southampton 3-0 is a warning sign.

    A. When will Ben Foster return to injury?
    B. Which one that more nailed on? Kolarov or Gomez?

Foster already injured, so doesn't need to return to injury. Actually, I haven't read any firm timetable

      Right now? Probably Kolarov

    Hi guys,
Im on a wildcard and can't decide between Kompany or Kolorov. I would prefer getting Kolorov since he's cheaper and is more likely to return assist points but rotation with Clichy is an issue for me if I'm going to pay 5.5m

I've got a decent enough bench if Kolarov doesn't play.. If you have players like Oxford Targett to come on then go for Kompany.

Simple, but players who are going to rise before they do and then sell them when they have increased.

Guys thoughts on this wc team? No sanchez or haz but might get them in later

    courtois mccarthy

Fair call I think Mata is being overlooked.

Like the team a lot. If Kolarov/Gomez dont play you've got good players off the bench.

one of the better WC teams Ive seen

Cheers mate. Good to know the tinkering has worked somewhere. Have 0.4m itb. Gomez in for now for the price rise. Might take him out later for a 4.5m. And try and use the 0.5m extra some place

    Good morning all

Anyone care to tell how D Sakho has played his two games?
I believe he missed a sitter in last match, but is he worth a spot in wc team anymore?

Atm deciding between him and Diouf and Sakhos fixtures look better for next three games (bench gw4) and I'm not sure if Diouf is absolutely nailed on.

    1. Big Red Dog
      • 13 Years

Sakho lively and unlucky not to score, if I wasn't worried about Diouf playing 90 minutes as the striker then I would have him

Yeah Montero is good so far, but set pieces, corners and long range strikes tilted me towards Shelvey. 2 chances he has created in 2 games both were converted into goal( little unfortunate on the Gomiz penalty not to get the assist against Chelsea)

all were waiting for a goal or 2 to jump on him. also this is his 2nd match on his preferred position as winger.
Should have scored against villa. Add to that set pieces and also corners nailed on him i guess.

In your opinions which set of transfers is better for -8

    Hazard > Silva
    Walcott > Puncheon
    Kane > Aguero
    Hennessey > Ruddy

    or

    Fabregas > Silva
    Walcott > Yaya
    Kane > Gomis
    Hennessey > Ruddy

    Any ideas would be welcomed

No need to get Hennessey in.

      Kane > Aguero
Hazard > Yaya/Payet/Ayew (depends on funds left after 1st transfer)

      and NO HITS

I won't be joining the Depay bandwagon.

There is no doubt Depay took his goals well last night but the defending was poor. Any decent defender would just show him down the line and prevent him coming inside on his right.

    1. Lallana_

I fully agree but he does take a decent amount of shots per game.

He's quick and agile enough to make space to shoot, great dribbler. Plus Mata will feed him one on ones. I've got him for 1 week vs NEW to see how he goes, then to YYT for (WAT)

Sanchez and hazard has scored many goals coming inside in EPL time and time.. is that mean there are no decent defender in EPL?? Both the finish are exquisite and this is 2nd games on wings(his preferred position) and he already has 10 shots(5 shots per game)
